I won and withdrew $44 at Casino Orient Express (August 18, 1999, transaction # 34894). After the cashin I started to wait for my check. My casino account balance has became 0.
After waiting in vain for about a month, I sent email to service@casinoorientexpress.com inquiring about the check.

Their reply was incomprehensive: something like there was a system error, they were sorry and therefore they gave me additional $10 to gamble with. O.K., I got this $10, and lost it playing soon.

I sent them another email about the $44, which was still due. Anyway $10 is no good substitute for $44.

They reply astonished me even more. Now they say that they have credited this $44 back to my casino account and I have lost it gambling.

I have never gambled with this $44. I have never gambled after I made this $44 cashin till the moment I played with additional $10. After the withdrawal of $44 I kept waiting for their check and, I repeat, never gambled.

I have explained all this to them. In return they now ignore all my emails.

My casino account is: oer00007857

Hi everyone...I just got back from Laughlin, Nevada. I stayed at the River Palms for 4days. I had a blast at the roulette table and of all things, the Bingo room. I won over $300.00. I have decided that roulette is my game.

Been out of town for a few days and it seems I have loads of reaing to catch up in here.

In answer to your question Steve I play Blackjack *almost* like a pro and love roulette even tho I dont have a clue as to what I'm doing. I just go for the 50/50 bets and slowly build up a hopeful fortune. When I feel generous I give slots a go, but somehow I don't trust the internet ones as much as normal casinos. I don't know - am I being paranoid? Or does it feel like you're more likely to win if you're actually pusching a REAL machine's buttons. You'll be happy to know that I'm attempting to learn poker (my husband laughs at me terribly I'm a REAL BEGINNER!

Can anyone reccomend a web site that has basic video poker tips? Thank you!

Welcome back Jeablue!! Roulette is my favorite game also..got a funny email from someone the other day that basically said that everyone has a 50/50 chance of doubling their bankroll at roulette..I had to laugh because I bet on a single number..oh yeah sometimes i do the red or black etc..but it's the single numbers I win on..can't see how he came up with a 50% chance of winning by betting on one number? Are my math skills bad or is this guy wrong? >,grin<, How was roulette at the REAL casino Jeablue? I've only played online. Debra, you certainly picked the right person to ask about video poker..Steve wrote a book on the subject! :)

Hi all,

Debra, I also play mostly Blackjack and consider myself to be fairly good at it *he says modestly!* I've also been trying a bit of Video Poker, however, I've not really had that much success on it, although the Lucky Nugget Casino has been the best for me recently!

As far as slot machines go, always remember that slots like "progressive slots" may payout a big jackpot, however, your chances of short term gain are less. I normally dabble a bit on the slots when I've had a good Blackjack session and I normally do well if I play the max amount of coins on a regular slot. Also, you soon get a feeling if it's going to be "one of those nights" where nothing much happens and that's normally when I move to another slot! Have a good idea of exactly what you're prepared to spend on a slot and then move on as soon as you've reached that point. Works for me!

Frank - ahh I have a Blackjack-loving freind in the forum! Here's a question for you. Double Eights. Dealer has ten. To split or not to split THAT is the question.

Steve wrote a book on video poker?!?! HMMMM looks like I'm hobnobbing with the rich & famous. How advanced a reader is it written for (i'm talking video Poker terms not evolutinary - ha ha)

Any of you got any milennium gambling plans. I hear that the Casinos are going to be pretty much booked to the back teeth for the bash. Tha's not even going near the issue of the super inflated rates. But for now let me start my day's REAL work...

Steve,

Just took a look at one of your articles on the Casino Company page. Read the Intro to Video poker. Looks easy enough >,grin<,! Also had a peek at your acollades in the margin. First place in major tournaments! I guess I've come to the right place to hone my (soon-to-have) video poker skills. Do you find the Real casino's any different to play than the internet ones? Iwill have a look at the other articles a bit later. I figure I'll have to print them out to read while I play a Caino on the net otherwise i"ll be flipping from my games to your tips like a maniac. For now I think I'll stick to not playing for cash. Whe I have the hang of it, watch out Steve!!!

las vegas hitmob - have you tried out that Casino Sanfran promotion yet? please anybody, when you do, let me know if its legitamate and worth it. I heard that you can make a fortune simply by following the various Promotions' fomr casino to casino on the internet. But , mind you, then you dont really get a feel for one casino's software or even find out whether they're fair and reputable.

Further to my above posting.

1. Casino Orient Express has apologized to me and has promised to pay. They have even given me more money for my troubles.

2. Casino Triumph still refuses to pay to my wife. They say that every new player is given free $30 in addition to his/her initial deposit. Since they have never charged my wife and because she has won $35, so they have deducted the bonus and they are not going to pay $5. Great reasoning. So, please. note that the free bonus they advertise will be deducted. It is not a bonus, it is a loan. Sharon sent her there. lol
We suspect it might be the Casino Triumph who have invalidated her card to avoid payments.

Here is their letter:

"We have blocked your card from use in our casino, it doesn't apply to
any other uses you may have for your card. Also, we do not owe you
anything since we never charged you and we gave you a gift of $30, so
in total all you "won" was $5 at most. We reserve the right not to make
payments in cases where we feel the card used for purchase may not be
valid, that was the case with your card and we have declined it for
both charges and winnings."

3. About Starnet casinos. We bought discounted accounts at JT's at two of them: The Casino of the Kings ($50 for $17, won $80) and the Cyber Casino ($20 for $7, won $180). I got the check from the Kings and it is already 10 days in my bank. So far so good: no bouncing. I withdrew $180 from the Cyber Casino on August 3 and so far there no checks from them as of Sept. 28, althought they claim they have sent one. I have asked them to resent the check which will cost me another $35 for stop-payment order. Nice postal service. Or maybe they have never sent it?

4. I won $190 at Yellow Club Casino last Sunday, Sept. 26. Today the winnings have arrived to my account. Actually it is the next day payment.

Hi Debra,

Your question is a good one and one which I guess nobody really has the answer to. Personally, I never split the 8's because you're playing against a picture/10. I'd rather draw another card!

Sharon, Playing Roulette in a real casino was a great experience. I found that I doubled my bet just by betting on red. It came up the most. I love the way the ball bounces and the sound it makes. I think the on-line casinos have captured that aspect quite well.
I played at a table of gentleman, They were so kind to teach me how it all works. It helps that I just followed their lead. And the free drinks were nice too :)
