CasinoBTC is it safe to play?

Unfortunately, this malarkey is so profitable that those fines are not even pocket change for them.

The official front person (not that it will link you to the real people behind these scams) for your casino is barely 30 years old and a director/secretary of 200+ companies. No doubt, they can add another 200 to that tally.

I get what you are saying, but trust me it does matter to some of them because around 30% do comeback and try to put a counter argument together :D but how on earth can Visa or NatWest Bank take the side of a Illegal Casino Website it would be utterly unethical giving the cash back to a bunch of criminals. Imagine a victim has just lost £20k that’s a lot of money and it pisses them off to be forced to hand the cash back.

So as victims we must fight, at the end of the day it’s a 10 minute phone call to the bank, a quick email or call to the Gambling Commission they will issue a letter and then getting a Crime Reference Number from Action Fraud website.

A pretty much 100% guaranteed refund

The criminals can do nothing about it, but the best part is when they have to pay the £75 - £1500 fine.

GamStop has ultimately caused this problem, it’s helped a huge number but made matters so much worse for others.

For example the dodgy casino in the title, I could not find any information on the casino (it was opened just one week a go) I had the urge to play NetEnt Games, I assumed it was genuine by the games and by other parts of the site, just that it was licensed within the U.K.

I did not add myself to GamStop someone I know didn’t like the fact I lost £500 one night and added me to the GamStop site for 5 years. I do not have a gambling problem, but because this person knew every part of my life they answered the questions correctly and the block was implemented. Due to this, there is now nothing I can do. I have the urge once a month to have a flutter on decent slots Just like every other gambler.

Ive come across a lot of people online in my situation who search out international sites not under U.K. GamStop rules, then we sadly come across fake sites like this who are using dodgy NetEnt sites, but everybody I know who follow those steps I’ve typed previously have always been successful in getting money back.

I personally know people who have done 80-100 chargebacks against fake casino sites and have got every single penny back, 30% of those sites are now closed as they ALWAYS report them to the Gambling Commission, they where reported because the sites refused to pay genuine winnings and had extremely unfair and predatory terms and conditions.

See it this way, you love collecting trainers but sometimes you order them and you realise they are fake but the retailer refuses to refund. So as per the Visa/MasterCard rules you can put a chargeback through so its the same for illegal gambling sites.
So do you do the chargebacks if you win or is it only if you lose?

If the site pays out winnings and offers good service without predatory terms and conditions they will continue to get my custom. I expect to lose money on the games at times, I don’t have a problem with that but any sneaky stuff like delaying tactics, ignoring emails or refusal to pay winnings I’ll ask them to return deposits within a strict time frame, if they refuse my bank is contacted and I report them. Then the money pops back into my account within a week, I’ve even reported some to the National Crime Agency for refusing to pay out large sums of money.

Would it not make more sense, if someone's lumped you onto GS (and, if you say you don't have an issue), trying to get off it? Then you can play at places with a bit more recourse rather than Chargeback? (though i presume that may get the person into a bit of bother - pass?)

I was wondering how easy it would be to register someone with GS w/o their knowledge (not personally) and as long as you have an inkling of their details it does seem quite easy (not used, so i don't know the checks they do but i do they ask questions relating to your credit file? Or is that just for address verification?)

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if CasinoBTC.bet is a scam or ok to play?

It is licensed by Curacao which I think many people do advise to avoid?

The site seems to have a good range of games..

Cheers
I am struggling to understand why the question in the initial post. Its pretty obvious it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks, you are going to play at the site even though its RAF, if you lose you are going to chargeback and if you win and dont get paid you are going to chargeback.
And I don't believe that someone close to you signed you up to Gamstop, more likely you did it yourself after a bad session and now you are regretting it.

You’ll be very surprised with how many parents, husband and wives get pissed off with a loved one losing a few hundred quid gambling so they sign them up to GamStop.

I personally believe you should upload ID and actually stand with the photo ID before the ban takes place. That way GamStop can be sure it really is the person self excluding themselves.

I have a friend who was 23 years old, his mum was against all forms of gambling. One day he lost £60 his mum was so angry one night she registered him on GamStop for 5 years, she answered three very simple security questions which of course she knew. Within seconds he was banned and all his gambling accounts closed, he wasn’t even a gambling addict he did about 5-10% of his wages on slots.

He tried everything to get off it but GamStop refused to budge. So now he’s stuck going on dodgy sites and entering bookies which he hates.

The losses with the fines etc are already prized into their businesses. They still make huge profits.

Just think how many people do not complain or charge back!

Then as @pinnit2014 suggests, why not contact Gamstop and tell them that someone has fraudulently registered you?
And what was the point in the original post when you know its a cup-a-cocoa RAF site and most people at CM would be advising against playing there?

I don't think the poster is interested in this bit to be honest, he has the perfect free roll running, he deposits, he plays and if he wins he waits to see if he gets paid and if they dont pay he raises the chargeback. If he loses he raises the chargeback, so he cant lose whatever happens.

Unless you have concrete proof there’s nothing that can be done. Especially if you live in the same house and use same IP address. GamStop have said you’ll need to involve the police, nobody would get the police involved against your own loved ones because they felt you was gambling money.

My mum gets upset when my sister buys a £2 lottery ticket.

 That made me laugh.

Well it’s not entirely true, but just imagine if all victims did this. These dodgy sites would not be operating under its present form. Great for the victims, great for the legal sites, great for CasinoMeister!

We’re all winners!

Genuinely though not all the dodgy sites treat players badly. I’ve been playing with a couple for years. GamStop is a flawed project, it helps some but can makes matters very much worse for others.

The only time it can hurt your credit file is if you blatantly lie and commit an offence, against legit businesses this is something I’m firmly against. Plus chances are your chargeback would be rejected anyway against the likes of Ladbrokes or Grosvenor.

But we must not forget these illegal scumbags are criminals, they are ruining people’s lives in so many different ways, the lack of responsible gambling options for players to choose themselves and the dodgy terms and conditions.

These people are breaking the laws, so of course it wouldn’t damage your credit rating. You are doing the authorities and banks a favour by providing information to hopefully get them shut down and in return you get your money back.

I was more referring to the checks Gamstop do when registering - they say stuff about using Transunion and, like some other places, i was wondering if they asked questions like 'You opened a credit card in July 2018 - who was it?' - and give 5 options etc to help ensure you are who you say you are (not that i think that's a great check as I would know most of Mrs P's finances etc)

yeah. That’s the question they ask, I questioned this with them directly.

Who is your mobile provider?
What year was you born?
Out of these names who are you associated with? Who did you apply for a mortgage with?

I would probably say around 30% of people on GamStop did not do this themselves. There’s lots of domineering partners out there.

@SherbetGuy still waiting for you to answer this one.

The games I recently played are found to be fake, illegal, unlicensed and most probably manipulated.

I’ll be reporting them shortly to NetEnt, Novo and the Online Fraud Intelligence Unit at Scotland Yard. I’ll drop the enforcement team a message at the Gambling Commission as well.

So yes.

So you are effectively free rolling, you post on here to ask for advice as to whether this site is reputable enough to play at?
I am still struggling to understand what the reason behind your original post was?

I wasn’t aware the games are fake, I was checking on the site.

Why don’t you contact the website and ask why they don’t apply for a licence and trade legally.

Ask them why they are using copyrighted games.

Ask them how much tax they pay.

Ask them how they deal with problem gamblers

No point trying to make me look the bad person in this, I’m the one fighting against these filthy websites.

You know these criminals who are ruining lives and effectively killing people.

I’m not the bad person here.

Well you are a much braver man than I am, giving these people your personal details and your bank details, knowing that they are dodgy as hell.
I am still struggling to understand why you made the original post, you are neither a newbee at those sites or naive as to whether they are rogue, but you try to make a post is if you are surprised that this site could be rogue.
Well each t their own, good luck with the free rolling and with giving these crooks all your personal details.

Also, I'm surprised with all these chargebacks you're not appearing on banks'/others radars.

You're still playing on sites that take UK players with no licence, albeit some may not use fake games, but it doesn't really absolve them so I'm struggling to see how you're fighting against these sites whenever your're playing at them? (fake games or no fake games).

If i was you i'd probably just not gamble if i couldn't get the GS taken off - the fact that the sites can't be arsed to apply for a licence like everyone else would give me the heebie jeebies every time I won - and like Harry said, they might be fine paying up to X pounds but then decide to pull the rug - that's too much stress for the sake of clicking a button.

Personally it riles me that the OP considers themselves as a victim.

They are no more than a chancer and a pretty dim one at that.

I really really hope this ends up biting them in the arse.
Agree, he's not the "hero" he likes to think he is. He knows exactly what he's doing and when they cotton on his details will be sold all over the show.
