Ask your bank for a letter confirming your the owner and how you no longer have that card ?

Is your account verified at that casino?

This is where I think casinos make a big deal out of things. If your bank account and old card were verified then the casino must have been happy that everything was legitimate.

You then explain to them that your old card was lost (in this case) or expired. In either case the old card cannot be used as once a new one is issued the old one becomes obsolete. You verify the new card that is linked to the same account with the casino and away to go.

Am I missing something? I can’t see how that has anything to do with AML.

Is it a casino on here with a decent rep, as quite often they can over ride stuff like this?

Yes, a little bizarre. Assuming they hadn't properly validated it previously although was never asked for a copy.

Well they should have done because they were taking deposits from you via that card (what’s good for the goose and all that).

I had an issue with a top accredited casino where my bank account was compromised so I had a replacement card. There was no way I could see to remove my old card so just deposited with the new one. All okay until I came to withdraw then they wanted proof the old one was obsolete.

I went on live chat and explained the situation. Never sure how much clout they have and at first it was like pulling teeth. They said you can only withdraw to the same card you deposited with. I explained that is exactly what I am doing and you have already authorised a withdrawal to this card last week!

Eventually the penny dropped especially when I pointed out that 14 numbers of the long number were exactly the same as well as the account number and sort code. It really isn’t rocket science. Sometimes wonder if there is a language barrier hindering the process though.
