I'm new to online casinos and I started to look around for online gambling forums. I found that Casinomeister seems to be reputable with a lot of user interaction.
I've been reading a lot of posts trying to figure out how I should pick an online casino. Do any of you have any suggestions on what I should be looking for? I've read so much about Playtech and many other software makers. Does the maker of the software matter that much? Do I need a NETeller account? What is a NETeller account? Last but not least, does anyone have any specific suggestions on casinos I should look at? I'm looking to play blackjack, craps, and poker.

You can start by checking Meister's list.... and maybe keep the following in mind:

There are many factors that play a role in choosing your online casino.
Many of these are personal, and sometimes they hi-jack the senses by driving all sensibility out of mind. Although personal likes and dislikes are to be taken in consideration, lets attempt to help you strike a balance by introducing the following checklist in the order of importance:

1 Does a sovereign government license your casino?
Yes? Good, move along. NO? Oh dear, you might want to reconsider. Also, you can use an authority such as the ICG or eCogra to check who the members are, and their associated casinos.
Microgaming is possibly the best-known entity on the Internet, so be sure to check their associated casinos too!


2 Is this casino blacklisted for any reason?
This is a very tricky job. It would seem that the tactic now is to badmouth your fellow casino under a guise of a blacklist. We have done some research, and found that there are a few respected places to check for rogues.
The best one we found to be Casino Meister who not only list them, but ACTUALLY will come right out and say why!!


3 Are you allowed to play for free?
Yes? No? This is very important; it gives you the chance to check out the software before spending any money.
If they do not, find a different online casino, if they DO, you know you are now half way there!!


4 How many games does the casino have?
This too is very important; it gives you a way to see how established the casino is. Beware of those online casinos who only have one version of video poker and no variety of denominations!


5 Does the casino have a tracking facility where you and they can
keep track of your purchase, play etc?
This shows them to be professional in their dealings and established as an online entity! The Mickey Mouse operators do not, and CANNOT afford this luxury!!


6 How easy is it to contact this casino? Do they have customer service
and how quick does the customer service respond?
The best way is to try.
Send them an e-mail asking a question. An automated response does
not count!

And I've been using NETeller for almost 2 years without one problem. Some other Forum members may have different accounts of their dealings with NETeller, but I personally recommend them very highly.

Before you start playing at a casino try to use a search on this forum with the name of the casino.
And better read reputable gambling forums then reputable gambling sites

　From my experience, or if you can search the forum, many of RTG casinos
can give you s:::t except for the recommended casinos here.

That is a great site - but be careful - lots of their data is out-of-date!
Always thoroughly check the casino's T&C's on their own site before downloading.
Diito universexf6 - avoid RTG's. In my personal experience, they are all rip-off artists. (But I have not tried the Meister approved ones... yet )

I couldn't agree more. Searching for a casino you have to distinguish really bad responses from bad responses of people who just don't read T&C.

All of this is very good advice. You may also want to look for casinos that have more of a reason to be trusted. Meaning are they audited by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, are they accredited by eCOGRA or IGC? And, if they are a land-based casino, you can be sure they aren't looking for trouble with their online casino. Also make sure they have an easy way to contact them, it surprises me how many online casinos only have an email listed. The trust level goes way up if they provide a toll free number to call. Of course you may want to call it once first to be sure someone actually answers. Do a little research by looking through the casinomeister list, or through a site like www.playersjet.com.

Neteller is the industry standard for funding casino accounts, almost every online casino uses them, so they would definitely be the first choice. If you sign up with one of the smaller e-wallet companies and you decide to move on to a different casino, they may not work with the company you are with, so you are better off going with one like Neteller that is accepted by most. Some others that are widely used are PaySpark and FirePay, but Neteller is definitely everywhere.

Yes, you are right that casinocashjourney has some outdated info. But there is a quick link to the casinos themselves, so you can check if everything is still the same. Its just part of the homework. Players that want to win and despise losing have to do their homework now that the golden years are over. BTW its a tremendous task to do what they do there, meticulously, and after all these years, being a player with intents to win, as you are, I suggest that you subscribe with them, as new entries are up-to-date. You may well find half of it rubbish, as I do, so scrap it, but then again you may find very good resources, here and there, for your endeavors, as I do also.

I have been using their site for over 2 years now, but I didn't know they had a subscription service. When I searched their site for an e-mail address to report their duff info - I couldn't find one! It must be well hidden somewhere - do you know where to find it?
