Casino forces bonus and WR on me

Hi

I recently made a deposit at the accredited Sun Vegas casino, this was not my first deposit. When I completed the deposit I noticed that my previously empty bonus balance was credited with a bonus that I didn't request.

Since I almost only play blackjack and video poker and don't want to be bound by the typically high wagering requirements of MG casino bonuses, I didn't make any wager after my deposit or the crediting of the bonus.

I contacted their Live Chat support to request the removal of this "15% ongoing" bonus but they refused to remove it even if I didn't use the bonus money and they said I was obliged to complete the wagering requirements :what:

How can a casino give you an automatic bonus and oblige you to complete the WR even if the bonus was not used or wanted ?? Is it another rogue strategy to withhold players' money and oblige them to player high risk games such as slots ?

Most other casinos, even the rogue RTG ones, make you "opt-in" for bonus by using a coupon code, ticking a checkbox or contacting customer support. And the ones who don't, promptly remove the bonus upon request if it was not used.

Any advice on the way to deal with this problem ? I just want the bonus to be removed so that I can start playing blackjack or a refund of my deposit.

Well according to the Meister's newest Meister Blatt, if this casino wants to remain on the Accredited List then they will need to remove that bonus immediately or suffer the consequences of being removed from the Accredited List!

By the way Bryan, good job on the new list of requirements here...

Expectations of Accredited Casinos:

  • Terms and conditions must be specific subjective clauses are not permissible. Players can not have winnings negated for "player intent"(i.e. not playing in the spirit of the bonus, players who commit bonus abuse, etc.) unless these acts are clearly defined.

  • Must not credit bonuses without the permission of the player

  • Must remove any bonus and playthrough requirements at the request of the player if play has not commenced

  • Must not disqualify any player from a payout if terms & conditions are met, except for situations of fraud (multiple-accounts, bogus ID documents, chargebacks, etc.,)

  • No player shall be involuntarily placed into a situation which breaches the terms and conditions during the course of play.

  • Must display information about responsible gambling, with links to relevant organizations

You're welcome ;)

At SunVegas they credit the bonus automatically on every deposit. If you request, you can opt out of receiving ALL bonus offers.

Also, be aware that bonus often appears AFTER play has commenced...a double whammy in that they cannot remove it then, and you've missed the opportunity of using your entire deposit towards clearing the WR.

On the basis of the information supplied by RobWin above, I would contact the casino once more, point them to this thread and ask one last time that they remove the bonus.

If they refuse, then Pitch a Bitch!

This is definitely not acceptable casino behavior IMHO.

These are standards that have not been fully put in place yet. I'm getting ready to take off for a couple of weeks, and I'm giving the casinos listed here time to review their T&Cs while I'm gone. When I return I'll be making a full review and giving my input where needed.

And yes, thanks Spear for the suggestions - and everyone please keep in mind this is a project in motion - nothing written in stone yet.

Audience participation time:
By the way, why we are on the subject - I'm open to suggestions from the entire membership - not just a select few. If you feel you would like to contribute to the standards of Accredited Casinos, start a new thread and upon my return (mid June) I'll give the realistic ones consideration. :p
