Wonder if they will even consider going back to the UK market.

This was received earlier:

Due to circumstances beyond our control we regret to inform you that our UK-facing operations will need to cease in short order.

We hope to be back in the UK market in the not too distant future and shall keep you abreast of information relating to such return in due course....

Same as mine, will the hassle of the ukgc and regulations make them not bother?

There is a great chance. I think many are already starting their exit plans. The market isn't what it used to be. The UKGC are actually killing any motivation any casino may have to remain licensed.

Fines, Limits, No Credit Cards, 3 Sec delay, SOW... add to that list in a month or two as they are bound to come up with a new reason to help casinos leave the market.

In fairness a lot they are doing needed to happen.

banning credit cards for example is a great move, but have they banned pay via phone bill for example as yet?..

And the auto play nonsense and 3 second per spin is just idiotic, I mean in my opinion some people will just get bored and up the stake which defeats the object.

regarding fines etc I support that as you can’t and couldn’t continue as the Wild West forever, there had to be some accountability at some point.

just a shame they miss most of the important stuff out.

on a more serious note has anyone here actually who’s a affiliate, or involved in the industry actually tried to speak to the ukgc?
as far fetched as it sounds imagine one of them reading this forum, the wealth of info is massive and Surerly would be helpful to them?..

Or pay using your credit card for a voucher paysafe? Or if you have a Revolut bank account you can top it up with a credit card

Gutted when I got the E-Mail earlier, my favourite casino, just hope they come back.

I'm now panic finishing the Hellcatraz build, was 400 keys off on £1, sadly the 90-minute rule got me earlier so will have to finish tomorrow. Also been building a Marching legions, Royal Mint and Lil Devil, will have to re-evaluate which ones I can finish off in the time limits before the 15th.

So many things wrong with what the UKGC are doing, and in some cases think it will force people to up the stakes in certain situations; eg wagering a bonus but the slower spins and shorter playtime means you won't finish it before the wagering timeout, so you have to up the stake above what you're normally comfortable with.

The only decent thing they've down is the credit card ban, but that is so easy to get around if the casino accepts PayPal.

I am
Sure I read on here a few days ago they did
I literally only play at L and L and sky now, William hill and ladbrokes acc open for sports too.

far too much nonsense to even bother with any new casinos now no matter how good the welcome offer is.

Totally safe with jan and his team and the rest ain’t had a issue in over 10 years.

probably a shame in a way as it’s strangling the market and will put off loads of casinos in the U.K.
but it needed more regulation, how far they are taking it is another matter however.

A few years ago I had some low-level dealings with them while we were going through the initial stages of the Certified ADR process. TBH they obviously were not interested in us becoming certified so the conversation ended up being pretty one-sided. When they handed down their ruling that ADRs should not and could not use any evidence other than that provided by the parties involved in a given dispute we decided the ADR thing was not for us and withdrew.

On the other hand @ThePOGG has been dealing fairly closely with them for years -- before, during, and after he was a Certified ADR -- so apparently a conversation is possible.

as far fetched as it sounds imagine one of them reading this forum, the wealth of info is massive and Surerly would be helpful to them?..

Back in the earliest days of the UKGC they were here, cruising around the industry related threads. Can't remember now what account it was but they were easily identifiable by the email addresses they were using to register here on the forums. It must be said that that didn't last very long.

Since they obviously had their own views on how things could be and should be done we concluded that the real world of online players didn't particularly matter to them, a conclusion much supported by how "talk to the hand" they were on almost every subject that we and others much closer to them tried to raise.

addendum: I should add that that last paragraph is not idle speculation. I've spoken extensively with several very serious industry insiders and my conclusions there are drawn from the information I gleaned from them. It was actually pretty breathtaking how the UKGC willfully ignored the council given from industry professionals with decades more experience and insight than the UKGC people themselves are ever likely to muster. One got the distinct impression that they were being given their marching orders from somewhere that they could not question.

Revolut and such NEO banks what you can fund with credit card, shouldn't be allowed:

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

These Paysafe and other vouchers are PITA already for AML reasons, as casino operator, wouldn't accept them, especially for certain markets like UK :)

But don't worry, if you are able to have credit card, you for sure can get payday loan processed to your account in minutes and play with that... or use some of numerous ways to get funds from credit card to some payment method you can use right away.

That's one quite good example about UKGC actions, it sounds and look good that people can't gamble with credit but in practice, it just take one minute more to deposit and often add bit more costs to use some other service which also then can get their fair share of these gambling activities. With credit card, you have access to use credit and you can spend it how ever you want. These restrictions just add one small additional step and regulator can tell how well they are protecting people but these people who have problem to blow all their dosh to slots, get around these anytime.

Maybe if the amount of operators decline under UKGC, the ones who're left get a bigger share of deposits and can manage to live with all regulations and (current and coming one, not the easiest country to forecast what gonna happen in the next two years).

Not following new licenses, but it seems to be more common than exception that new operator not apply UKGC license but is happy with MGA (possibly SGA or what ever country you wanna targed). Can see many to hang there still as they have their UKGC policies implemented already, but might not really be great investment for new operator to get involved for various reasons, not only UKGC.
