I've visited a bunch of sites looking for a decent explaination of bonuses, they all say different things some completely contradicting each other so I'm not sure what to believe.

please correct me if I have it wrong but this is how I understand it.

1: a cashable bonus is neither sticky or phanton?

2: does a cashable bonus mean any balance left of the bonus money can be withdrawn after wr along with winnings or that its simple not deducted from the winnings?

3: a non-cashable bonus is either sticky or phantom?

4: With a sticky bonus, after wr any balance of the bonus money is still available to play with? Is the amount of the bonus deducted from winnings at the time of withdrawal?

5: With a phantom bonus the amount of the bonus money after wr is deducted from winnings at withdrawal time?

thanks

Real quick: For the record I barely read your post so I can't say yay or nay as I just caught the question but was too lazy to keep reading (I skimmed). I'm eating desert right now mmmm, so yea my focus is gone. But the quick simple break down:

Sticky stays with the account. You take the bonus and when you make WR you can withdraw your winnings. The bonus amount of money left can continue to be played, and more winnings withdrawn until the bonus is lost. You can't withdraw a sticky bonus but you can make many withdrawals from it.

Phantom leaves the account upon meeting WR or withdrawing. So once you make WR it auto takes away the bonus money from the account, or when you put your request to withdraw money, they will remove the bonus money from the balance. Once you withdraw it is gone, they will take their money back (the bonus). Some do it as soon as you make wagering.

Cashable you keep. You meet WR and you can withdraw the bonus, or keep playing with it. The bonus money is yours if you can make the WR.

1. Yes.
2. You worded that a bit strange - there is no "or" as they are both the same thing! Yes, you can cash-out everything.
3. Yes.
4. Different people use different definitions for "Sticky". I say Sticky for bonuses that stay in your account and can be played with after a withdrawal, but some other people use "sticky" to mean you lose the bonus when you cash-out. (I call this "Phantom")
5. Yes.

IMO Phantom Bonuses are just "money traps" unless you are a ruthless advantage player, or are just looking for more play-time.
Just remember you MUST achieve more than 100% RTP during the WR to cash-out even 1c more than you deposited.
Phantom bonuses which are low match %'s (i.e. <200%) and/or with high WR (> D+B x15) are bordering on criminal IMHO.

I can understand why players can get confused, especially when some casinos (quite a lot actually) do not clearly spell out exactly what the WR is and whether the bonuses are Cashable or Phantom. I hate that! :sob:
