Card Spike

They ban people for speaking the truth, for saying what they think, and if it isn't something Lou wants to hear or to be known, he bans the poster and either edits the posts or removes the thread altogether. And lies, lies, lies.

That is how half of Poker Affiliate Listing's group ended up there. When CardSpike broke down and people started demanding payments from they spoke out about CAP/PAP they were banned and threads deleted. It was the beginning of the end. I assume all they wanted was for this to never come out. Thanks to everyone that helped bring this out and all of the truth from behind all of the lies.

Just imagine had they just paid affiliates on time as promised their business would still be the same as it always was. For some reason they chose not to and look where the are.

After reading that Casinomeister was banned from CAP because he asked too many questions.. and after viewing this:

One question comes into my mind:

Should CAP be rogued?

Ok guys.

This has all been quite upsetting to Lou. He has a bad heart and he feels he needs to step back for a while and rest and think things through calmly.

So, bonusstreak and me will be running the CAP message Board for a while.

Not the business end, just the message board.

Under my watch there will be no closed threads and no bans ( well, I will ban for personal attacks, a stance I have always held and believe in, as does Bryan I believe).

I don't know myself what all transpired on the business end, but I think I know how things affect affiliates and I think we can handle all these things there peacefully.

Now, I haven't slept more than 3 hours in going on 3 days and I am totally exhausted and going to bed, I have an appointment early in the morning and it's just a few hours of sleep for me.

Since I am travelling I won't be able to spend full time, and I hope everyone will show some understanding for that.

Ok I am off to bed. have a good one.

Yes! However, I think we should allow Dom to get some rest. What we really need is a statement on the Card Spike issue. There is one affiliate still owed a large amount to my understanding. There is more that is owed as well as far as I know. Also the person that is owed earnings by CardSpike also got banned in the same thread that CM did. This should be treated as any other rouge situation.

Besides the banning issue, the bigger issue is getting these people paid. Perhaps out of respect we should wait for Dom to make a statement on this? Since the administration is unavailable at this time, is there an Effective Media Contact?

Sorry, I just saw this, I didn't see this before. So maybe someone in London could ask some questions for us?

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your kind words. Lou is obviously very distraught over this situation after spending 10+ years fighting for the industry, helping resolve countless number of issues between affiliates and programs, and spearheading such instrumental initiatives such as CAP Euro along with the rest of our team. The decision was made because Lou would like to focus his time and energy on helping affiliates succeed in private rather than taking abuse from other silly competing forums, which is rather childish in the first place.

I would like to encourage everyone, both members and non-members of CAP, to encourage GPWA, Michael Corfman, Jay Todd, APCW, and whoever else is participating in these attacks against the CAP community to STOP causing this unneeded distraction in our industry. It will hurt you PERSONALLY if Lou is no longer a part of CAP and able to provide the assistance and guidance he has since CAP's inception.

I'd also like the clarify the following points, based on a few rumours circling:

- Dom and Christine will head the CAP message board, not the company or site, for the time being.
- None of the top management from our parent company (Affiliate Media) have or will resign from the company. Please bear in mind that the company Lou co-founded behind CAP has many subsidiaries. Lou's post reflects his intention to resign from publicly running the forums at CAP. Everyone will still be involved behind the scenes in ensuring that CAP remains the igaming affiliate industry's leading driving force.
- Most of the CAP team, including Lou and I, will be attending CAP Euro London and we encourage you to approach us about any outstanding issues.
- CAP is stronger than ever, with more new members, posts, traffic, and certified programs than ever before. More cool stuff to come which will be announced soon.

See you all next week in London!

Really sorry to keep posting here. :p

My friends at PAL hopefully will come on over and seek CM help in getting paid.

Link Removed (invalid URL)

Thank you kaus and everyone for chipping in on behalf of affiliates here at Casinomeister and PAL. I know everyone will find a hand to work together in a calm fashion to at least address payments. Let's be nice and work together.

See you all next week in London!

Not in a business sense or perspective but "PERSONALLY" huh ?? Damn, that almost sounds like some kind of threat in my opinion!

Ty Rob. I was so busy looking at this part..

None of the top management from our parent company (Affiliate Media) have or will resign from the company.

I didn't even see that! Gawd. :eek2:

Well, I don't know how Warren meant that, but I doubt it is a threat. It hurts me personally that Lou is not there, I never did want to run CAP and have enough work with my own business. And there are a lot of other folks at CAP who will be personally hurt by not having Lou's guidance. I am afraid I will not be able to fill his shoes. He has helped a lot of people on a personall level.

In any case I have asked for strict separation of the business end and the message boards themselves and Warren will not be posting again any time soon.

There are all kinds of projects CAP is involved in (and I mean CAP the community, not affiliate media) like audits and such, and I will not personally be involved in these, I am only stepping in to help the membership and keep an eye on the message board.

And now I have to go to my appointment, still I have hardly slept.

I will be heading to London Wednesday and there I will get a hold of Cake and see what all there is to be done on that level.

It's just a poorly written sentence. I wouldn't put too much weight on it.

Anyway - I'm clocking out. I'll be in London for the next several days. Be cool.

Clearly things have changed in the last 24 hours at CAP/AMI and we now have what is effectively a retraction of Lou's original decision - the wording in that original post of his was quite unequivocal in my view and pointed to resignation from the company and not just its forum activities - so it appears that it will be business as usual for Lou and Warren with the possible exception of their involvement in the CAP message boards.

Developments there [on the message board] will be closely watched to see if there are any signs of changes to communications....and the banning process.

Taking Warren's statement as posted by Mojo here at face value, it would appear that the management status quo at CAP AMI and probably EMG remains unchanged, thus completely devaluing the last 24 hours of speculation on radical changes in AMI management and policies.

I'm beginning to think Lou's 'resignation' was either emotion or cosmetic damage control after all....maybe it is time for a straight, fully considered statement clarifying exactly what is going on at AMI - this sort of tap dancing only exacerbating an increasingly bad situation imo.

For the record here, this is Lou's statement 24 hours back:

"After the all the negative press and activity of the past few months I have decided it's probably best for the community moving forward if I left. For whatever reason I create too much of a distraction and raise too many questions by even being here anymore. I know many believe I am some kind of monster now and even my old friends have fallen silent in support (Other than BB1 Thanks Steve). I will do whats best and simply move on. It's been a great run and I truly enjoyed it. I met some of the best people I have ever known through CAP and it's taken me wonderful places around the world. I would rather remember it fondly then grow bitter and forget all the good we have done together.

"I have always loved this business and loved CAP, it's been my baby for so many years and it's hard to let go. But now its turned into a nightmare thats damaging my health and something I dread getting up to. Unfortunately I have already purchased tickets to London and have a hotel room booked so I may go, but even if I do this is my last appearance at the events. I will also be turning over the reins here to a younger team and staff with fresh ideas that can keep CAP moving in a positive direction. I sincerely hope everyone finds them more agreeable to work with. It's time for me to move on.

"God bless all my friends and have a prosperous 2009. I am certain we will see a major surge of business in the latter quarters of the year and the new CAP will be here to help you make the most of that opportunity."

Still running things... Just out of sight.

Seems the harsh light of day bothers him...

BTW - who cares who runs the CAP forums? (No offense Dom)
It is not the way the forums are run that has been under the gun here. The bannings and information censoring at the CAP forums are not the real problem.

The real problem with CAP has been the lies and the FACT that the Managers of CAP have been double dealing and playing dirty with Affiliates and with some of the Casinos that is the REAL subject here, not who runs the CAP forums.

@ Dom I can't believe that as such a big affiliate advocate you are is not outraged by some of the things that have come to light about how CAP run their business. I have seen you you go off on other programs that have done far less.

I should tell you that there were two conditions under which I am stepping in, the reversal of recent bans at CAP, and the strict seperation of CAP and the business of the parent company. So likely Warren will not be posting again any time soon.

Communications will be a bit spotty now since I am travelling, and that in a different time zone. In London I will look for Cake and see what needs to be done in that respect.

This is what Dom posted a short time ago and I can imagine that it is not going to be an easy task she is taking on so please give her some time to work on this. Everyone knows that when Dom has her mind made up to change or fix something she gives 100% of her energy to it so give her some time is all I ask.
Hey see some of you soon in London :)

Hello I am Randy and I was a long time member of PAP/CAP. I had the screen name Ridge on both those forums too before I was banned for speaking about about not getting paid. I was lucky enough to get a good start with Cardspike and even built to dedicated Cardspike sites and I have a very active forum with some high stakes grinders that I signed up there.

You guys know the story that follows, we never got paid, we started several thread to try and get a resolution and in the end we got banned for speaking out at PAP and CAP..

To date I have only been paid a small amount directly from Warren Jolly and I was told to keep quiet and I would get the rest. After a couple more months I realized I was never getting paid and started speaking with Lou and Warren to get paid.. They threatened me, cussed, me and finally banned me..

I have documentation of everything including PM's, Emails, IM's, and screenshots from Lou, Warren, Greg Powell (Former AM).

My stats were altered and my Cardspike affiliate account has since been locked/Closed - I am doing rakeback there so I still have players but cannot get paid, see stats or even log in.. I have emailed Cake Poker several times and they are not helping get my players, money, or my account unlocked.

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post the screenshots of my affiliate account before my stats were altered, so I will wait until I hear something back..

This whole mess has really took a toll on me and I really want to put it behind me, but if there is a chance we can finally see our money and maybe Cake Poker will step up and kick CS off their network.

I will be more than happy to send an Admin here every bit of documentation I have on this issue..

I am Randy's (Ridge) business partner. I can confirm everything he has said and I have personally seen all the documentation. I am sure that if Casinomeister gets involved your documentation will be sufficient, but I just wanted to vouch for Ridge, he speaks the truth.

Dom and I have not seen eye to eye on a few things but I have the utmost respect for Dom. I too am very confused here though. This company has been caught in endless lies about their conflicts of interest, tried to hack a competing website, impersonated that website's owner in their own forum, banned people for seeking the truth in their forum, deleted posts about their rogue poker room and they appear to have tried to steal six figured in affiliate payments and still likely owe well into 5 figures. The company has already announced nobody is resigning. Do you think all at a sudden that company is going to change their ways? They still have not even come clean.

True, we don't agree on everything and no reason we have to. I have much respect for you too. Luckily agreeing is not a prerequisite for that. :)

PAP is and was out of my reach. I will attempt to take care of Card spike affiliates though, even though poker is not in my field of knowledge and connections. I should be able to take care of affiliates that still have not been paid.

To be honest, I do not know what all has happened lately myself, but I do intend to find out in London and I do intend to get it fixed.

This has all spun out of control for some reason and it's rather confusing.

I would appreciate if anyone and everyone who still has not been paid by card spike would pm me.

I'll be outraged when I know what's going on and I can't fix it.

But first I need to find out, then I need to try to fix and solve things.

You know I get to the bottom of things. Just give me the time I need, hopefully I will get it all sorted in London so I can start to work at it afterwards.

I like fixing things, not breaking them, as I have said before.
