I received this email this morning from Capital Casino (Microgaming). I'm not sure if it means that Capital Casino is closing entirely or if BelleRock is taking over Capital Casino or what? I guess I must have played there ages and ages ago, but don't remember. It would be very unusual for a Micro to just close period so I am assuming that maybe they are just being absorbed by BelleRock? Anyone else get this?

Dear Lisa tcarxxxxxxxx,

We write to notify you that Carmen Media Group will no longer be supporting
or operating Capital Casino. We are however, delighted to announce that
River Belle Online Casino, the first choice for all online casino games, will be
offering you a continued playing experience on their software.

We are very pleased to inform you that we, at Carmen Media Group have
arranged for River Belle Online Casino to allow you to use your Capital Casino
account, and your balance to be transferred to the River Belle software.

Arrangements have been made to make the transition as simple and secure as possible and to cause the least inconvenience to you, our valued customer.

River Belle Online Casino will be contacting you soon to provide you with all the details you will require to access your account balance and account with them.

In addition, River Belle Online Casino will give you all the information you require regarding the entertainment and services they provide including their exclusive welcome bonus offer!

Capital Casino may no longer be in operation but we know you will enjoy many hours of entertainment at River Belle Online Casino.

Best regards,

Capital Casino

They're all part of Carmen Media Group, I guess they're just doing some re-organizing..

But.. question of the day: What software is the following game? Which casino is offering it?

Cheers,
SM

It looks like an RTG slot Slotmachine, but not one I've ever seen before.

Capital Casino Slot? Huh? That does not even resemble a Micro game.

Indeed. It is the Moon Crazy slot. Are there any other casinos out there which use this version of MG software?

Royal Plaza Casino does. -But I dunno anything about their Slots.

Here you go, Pinababy - straight from Carmen Media:

Yes, Brian we are no longer going to operate Capital Casino. We are going to close or sell the brand and we are in negotiation with a few interested parties. In the interim we are making arrangements to transfer player balances to other brands in the group, but mainly to River Belle. Players will be kept informed as things progress but as it stands they can still play and withdraw any funds from Capital Casino.

Thank you Jetset!! And I see that the other poster made a mistake re: Casino Classic. So that clears everything up for me, thanks again.

its MG (sure doesnt look like it though) and is it Orbital?

We have a winner!

It's from the Orbital casino game previews. Looks like an outdated version of MG software, huh? Orbital is also a Carmen Media (owners of Belle Rock) group casino. The website looks defunct as I can't find a download or open account link. However, they've got PWC payout reports from december 2005...strange. Maybe they're just keeping it going for the existing players who like this old software? Anybody know about this?

Cheers,
SM

What is happening to players balances in Capital I have $300 still owed and I have heard nothing from them.

I imagine they're setting things up and will communicate when they have all their ducks in a row, but just to be on the safe side I'll ask Carmen when.

Here you go - this is the position re transferring player accounts, as given by the operator:

"This whole process will take place within the next two weeks. River Belle will be communicating with the players shortly to outline the procedure and will then confirm the date for the change over."

Bummer! River Belle... Here we go. :(

Last month I requested a couple withdrawals at Capital Casino and it did not take me long to figure that they are indeed under new management.
While I was always paid within a maximum of two days by them previously, the current withdrawal requests have been pending for more than two weeks so far.

For some trips I have been carrying around the neat suitcase with the Capital Casino-logo all the time, that they gave me some months ago as a present for my loyalty.... But do not even know if I still want to do that anymore.

I still have not heard anything. River Belle must be using a different definition of "shortly" than most people.

It is an associate (whatever that means) of Fortune Lounge and licensed in Kahnawake.

I believe you are mistaken GrandMaster as my Capital Casino account was converted into a Riverbelle account....here is an excerp of the e-mail I had received from Riverbelle back a few months ago:

We are taking this opportunity to remind you that we will be upgrading your Capital Casino account to a River Belle account on 20th June 2006.

This means that between 7am and 12pm (GMT+2) on Tuesday 20 June, you won’t be able to play on Capital as we will be busy upgrading your software.

Thereafter, by clicking on the River Belle logo on your desktop, you will automatically go to the River Belle Online Casino software.

GrandMaster, I am really confused now as to why they (Capital Casino/Riverbelle ?) converted my old Capital Casino account into a Riverbelle account in the first place ?

Im a VIP member of all Fortune Lounge Group of casinos and have not heard anything about this from Fortune Lounge.

Has Fortune Lounge now bought out Capital Casino from Riverbelle ? I currently play at Riverbelle Casino using my old Capital Casino account. Hell the Capital Casino software was automatically changed over to Riverbelle software on my computer also when this change happened a few months ago.

Someone please explain this to me.... Thanks

 :what:

I don't know whether this helps, but it was reported in Casinomeister News back in February this year:

CAPITAL CASINO TO CLOSE
10 February 2006

An old favourite to be shelved or sold

BelleRock online casino group, part of the Carmen Media conglomerate was in the process of taking Capital Casino.com out of service this week.

Operations director John Holmes said: "We are going to close or sell the brand and we are in negotiation with a few interested parties.

"In the interim we are making arrangements to transfer player balances to other brands in the group, principally River Belle.

"Players will be kept informed as things progress but as it stands right now they can still play and withdraw any funds from Capital Casino."

Perhaps the sale wemt through?

Thanks Jetset, maybe you are right and they did sell this brand to Fortune Lounge. So now I guess I could open a new Capital Casino account since they are part of Fortune Lounge and this would not matter since my old Capital Casino account was converted over into a Riverbelle account.

so is Capital now part of fortune lounge?

I see "Fortune Lounge" on their T&C page, but casinocity still shows them as BelleRock?

A few weeks ago Fortune Lounge told me Capital and Thunderluck are independent casinos that they support. The casinos use FL support, FL payment processors, and have FL style bonuses. Bans within the FL group also apply to Capital and Thunderluck.
