Canadians and 2014

well, the whole new Skrill thing (lack thereof) blows. I did some research, and basically they pulled out to appease U.S. bank affiliates and with the New Jersey gaming laws in place, Skrill wants a piece of the action and doesn't want to rock the boat, so basically a big 'screw you Canuckleheads'.

So, no Skrill, I opened an EcoPayz acct. But geez, like, noone takes it. All I can find are BETAT and CasinoLuck. So 2014, gone are Bet365, BetVictor, Guts, WilliamHill, MrGreen, Next and Unibet and others.

Opinions? What are you guys doing. Yeah, BETAT, and from what I know, CasinoLuck, are solid, but that takes everything else off the table and it's nice having some gaming options.

I use money mart visa. Havnt run into any problems with it, except tonight and I already made that thread. Does guts casino a cent Canadians? I havnt tried it yet.

I have used USEMYFUNDS for a long time, sadly they have just imposed a $1.50 surcharge where it used to be free, other than that it is a great option for me, no different than Interac debit, nice to see a multi platform casino (Videoslots) actually using this funding service.

this is so annoying. hope a third company gets big and shows neteller and skrill how to treat customers.

All the Fortune Lounge Group (Royal Vegas, Platinum Play and er, the other ones) accept EcoPayz. VeraJohn and all the Deckmedia Casinos (SlotO'Cash, Miami Club, Desert Nights, Box24, etc.) also accept it.

I mostly use Instabebit - 32red, guts, bet365, WH and many others have it.
I used to use my normal bank account but now i opened pcfinancial no fee account just for this and it works fine. Instabebit said that they work with any Canadian bank so not sure why you are having issues.

If there is no Instabebit - I buy Ukash online from Outdated URL (Invalid) or Esso.
Usemybank and Citadel are another options.

But no more fast weekends cashouts since there is no skrill but whatever.

What Skrill does in ANOTHER COUNTRY has NOTHING to do with the US, and it should NOT have ANY bearing whatsoever on their chances of a piece of the action in New Jersey, nor should it bother the US banks. The Canadian government need to "grow a pair" and stand up to the US dictating what happens in CANADA, whether by making laws, or by blackmailing companies so that they have to pull out of Canada if they want to be allowed into the US market.

The US cannot seem to break it's old habits of routinely dictating what other countries should do, even at this level of what companies can do business in a country. The US have already been caught out dictating to countries to their immediate South which governments they will be allowed to elect, even to the point of sending in their special forces to manipulate the political landscapes, all without the UNs knowledge, let alone approval.

The way things are going, the US could face having China dictate it's trade policies. It is already thought that the sheer volume of Chinese investments, including the savings of ordinary Chinese in US Dollar bonds, gives China the kind of leverage it needs to force the US to make policies that favour Chinese trade. There was the argument that the Chinese government could require it's citizens to liquidate any US Dollar denominated savings, and the sheer volume would destabilise the dollar enough to be a serious inconvenience to the US government. China will not do this so long as it gets it's way trading with the US, as a fallen dollar would also mean Chinese goods would suddenly be more expensive than domestic US made goods. China is probably the only country big enough to threaten real damage to the US through it's own policy changes. Canada is probably not in such a good position, but the relatively easy access US citizens have to Canada could make up for it. We have something similar here. France has set up huge "hypermarkets" selling things like alcohol and tobacco, and EU rules mean that the UK government cannot stop it's citizens catching the ferry or channel tunnel train purely to buy as much as they can far more cheaply and bring it all back. Customs can't touch it unless they can show it's being done as part of a business, and the EU has already rapped the UK customs over the knuckles for "illegal seizures" of inbound goods from the EU for personal use, with them having to compensate the victims and return the seized goods.

I understand that Canada already does this with medicines, with US citizens close to the border routinely getting their medicines from Canada, much to the irritation of the big drugs companies who deliberately mark up prices so as to rip off the health insurance companies who often are the ones actually paying for the medicines.

EcoPayz at Guts

Hi Everyone,

We just added EcoPayz to Guts. Thanks dionysus for giving me the heads up that this is a good option for Canadian players. :)

Have a great day everyone!
