    Hi Guys,

This is something that happened to me over the weekend, I wanted to check if it's me that is silly or if anyone else does the same.

I consider myself to be relatively strict when playing slots, I'll have two kinds of session:

    1. I'm here to lose my deposit and just want some fun.
    2. I have a target of x from my deposit and I'll stop when I hit it.

Usually in a '1' session I'll try different stakes and different slots just hoping to hit the feature and keep playing for as long as possible, but without expecting to win. A '2' session has more rules.

I started a '2' session yesterday with a fairly big deposit for me. £200 deposited with a target to double my cash and withdraw. Started at £5 a spin, hit the feature in less than 5 mins and won £300. Balance was around £540 I think.

Now, I've hit my target and usually I would cash out. Problem is, it was too quick. I wanted to play. I ended up continuing to play and the obvious happened.

If I would have won after 30 mins I so, I am pretty sure I would have cashed out. I won too quick.

    Anyone else experience this?

    Mark

With your session yesterday your target was £400 and you had a balance of £540 after hitting. You also wanted to keep playing cos you hit so early right?

I would have played on but withdrawn if Id fallen back to £400. Perhaps set myself a new target of £800 (but withdrawn If I fell back to my original target of £400).

That's pretty much it - I did pause for a moment at £400 then hit spin lol!

Guess I had my two styles of play mixed up. Good to hear that you are more controlled than me.

most times if i win, i win very fast (within 10/15 minutes, 10x deposit) obviously that is because they know chances favor them you keep on playing. and that is true.
therefor i play at casino's with fast payouts. i can deposit again within the hour...

i never have a target. i dont gamble with the expectation of winning money. i hope to win, but i only gamble with money i consider 'not needed'...
if i win, sometimes i cash out and sometimes not. if you want to protect yourself from losing, deposit via bank and wd to bank. dont expect to win... just play

in my experience its is true because if i win its 50% of the time, very early in my session, 25% middle 25% late... i know it isnt true that its manipulated like this to happen. but if i would be a gambling organisation, it would definately be in my favor that if players were to win money, it would be at the start of their gambling session, rather than after hours of playing...

and @ your first post... you mixed your 1 and 2... 1 is fun 2 is business.. business is work, work = not fun...
in a couple casino's i play a lot, i can set session timers. so after a set time i log out automatically... that good to take a breather and get to my sences

Sounds like me.. i am not quite the same though, i basically want 1&2 at every session. That however causes it to happen a lot, that i either win too quick, or bust out too soon.

I enter a slot, mostly a current favourite, or a new game, and my goal is to either double my start balance, get a 100x or hit a feature, or maybe i should say, that used to be my goal.. as i caught myself playing on, on a lot of occasions lately.

If i win a quick feature, that also pays around 100x bet, you would think as i achieved two of my goals, i would move on. However, i also always get the little voice saying.. it must be hot, carry on soldier, which 99% of the time turns out to be wrong:) Still keep doing it.

I guess i was too lucky in the past, hitting winning streaks on certain favourites too often. It's "dangerously addicting". I do care most for playtime though, if i had a good roll, and didn't win too fast, i am mostly happy with the session, despite losing.

It also has to do a lot with my financial situation really, i used to have betsizes of 1,- / 1.50, and for the last years that had to be changed to the 0.18/0.30 level, and somehow, hitting a 100x or early feature is less satisfying on those low bets. I also pretty much always immediately raise the bet one coin after i have hit the feature, or a 100x, just in case that streak would start, and i also have a hard time to drop my betsize back down, when the streak doesn't come after all...

Let's just say that the combination of those factors, often play around with my mindset, and i end up making wrong decisions or bad judgement calls, because in retrospect, i could have been cashing out a lot of deposit x2 to 5 the last years, instead i have cashed out the 25x and up deposits exclusively, which happened maybe 3 times in those years, once at 32Red of course:D

But to answer your question, yes, i also know this feeling, and no i don't think it's silly at all, and iirc, i already read something similar from posters here a few times before.

Usually when i hit my target and i'm over... I withdraw my target and play the rest... For your exemple ... I would withdraw 400 and play 140 that left and hope to double it too in a low variance game...

If I get a decent win, it's nearly always early in the session. ESPECIALLY when playing with a bonus.

I deposited £50 at a site the other day and took a 100% bonus (25xB WR), within 10 minutes I was up to £350 Playing Jurassic Park and TSII, and then everything I played went stone-cold. I managed to scrape through the WR and was left with £50, my initial deposit.

I can tell how I do at your casino, and most casinos hate it:D

With no bonus and an early hit I immediately cash out a part of it. If I continue to win I cash out a little more and continue that way.
I never or rarely raise my betsize, and I feel it's easier to stay in control if I don't have too much in my account.

In the end I can have a lot of small sums but together they will be something. If I'm on time I usually reverse and make it one large.
It feels a lot better to keep on playing if I know I won't lose it all :)

I generally don't play with bonuses, those pesky casino operators always impose WR which I prefer not to be tied into. :)

If my goal for the day is to cut my lawn and I finish early, I'm not going to go cut the neighbors lawn also, lol.

If you are goal oriented you gotta stick to it.

Since on-line gaming started here in New Jersey I have stuck to a strict 5X deposit goal and I don't feel bad for the casino having to process a deposit for $40 and a withdrawal for $200 within half an hour. I know they don't feel bad for me if I make umpteen deposits and no withdrawals, although I have heard 32Red actually has a heart and cares more than others (shameless brown nose plug from me).

So, Mark_32Red, the Trump Taj is currently without a partner casino (hint hint).

USA Opinion : There is only one casino that will lock a withdrawal if you win that is 3 Dice. That and there quick cash out turn around is one of the main reasons USA plays there.

See I use to play like you. Back in the good ole days, now we have to hit a certain amount just to withdraw. If I win to quick I keep playing I know it will be at least 5 working days until I see my money so its what the hell attitude and go for the big win. I look at all my sessions now like OK lets just have some fun if I get over a grand I will stop.

I sooooooo wish I lived where the 5 min withdrawals were..LOL

Cash out 500 and low rolling on high variance slots. try to build up again... once or twice a year, I can build up 100 to few 1000s. It is difficult but a lot of fun.

Yeah, same thing happens to me often enough when playing without a bonus. Like yesterday I was trying out the new South Park slot and got my balance up from 100€ to 300€ in about 15mins of playtime. I thought about cashing out but I was itching to play longer which ultimately ended in busting out.

Now if I was on a bonus and I cleared wagering with +200€ then I would have cashed out 9/10 times but at that point I'd also have lots of playtime under my belt. This is why I mainly play with bonuses - they basically force my hand so I don't even have to think about cashing out if I hit a big win early on. This also allows me to try larger bet sizes if I get my balance up as without a bonus I wouldn't risk it.

Generally I play with a bonus, so an early hit means nothing as I am committed to fulfilling a WR before I can withdraw, so I carry on playing.

I'll stay on the same slot where the win came on for a little bit (anything from 20 to 50 spins) and if it goes downhill quickly, I'll switch to another slot among my list of favourites.

However, there was one occasion where I didn't take a bonus AND then hit a monster quite early on.....a £40 deposit at Yukon Gold. I chose to play The Dark Knight and I was betting 60p a spin and had dropped to under £20 a couple of times. Then, out of the blue, I won nearly £1,200 on a single spin.

Did I cashout right away? Did I eck lol. I was buzzing so much and I just wanted to play.

Played on for a bit on the Dark Knight and lost about £30 before deciding to bail out. At that point, I should have just cashed out the lot (about £1,180) and deposited somewhere else. But I decided to go do something I'd never done before. Play Avalon 2 at £1.20 a spin (I normally only bet 60p).

And a couple of hours later, £500 of my winnings had exited stage left. Only THEN did I see sense and quit. I withdrew £680. A nice 1600% profit, but it could have and should have been north of 2000%, maybe even 2500%.

So yeah....I think you CAN win "too early". But then again, it could be argued that you can never cashout "too early". :)

if i hit a big win early on with no bonus i tend to withdraw my stake money and play on with some of the profit and draw down the rest at a certain point of profit/loss
