Paleo Meister (means really, really old)
Hi Guys
Following feedback from the Progressive Challenge, the Meister and myself thought it would be fun to get some more competitions going on some of the better slots out there, so I've been busy over the past month putting together a plan! MWhaaaaaaa, Mwaahaaaaaa.
Hmm. Anyway. That plan is nearing fruition and one or two guys here have very kindly helped me test it out a bit and I think I'm just about ready to open it up for the Slotsters and Slotchiks of this world to take a poke around before launch.
Basically, we have found a number of kind people at some of the better casinos to take a game and offer up some prizes for the best wins during December for some of the popular slots. It's tricky trying to balance fair-play rules with keeping everyone happy, especially as we wanted everyone to have a chance without opening it up to abuse, but i think I've found a balance. The key is that prizes are initially decided on "coin" wins rather than physical amount, so it doesnt matter so much if you are spinning at $1 or $10. Only when there is a "tie" does amount play a part.
The competitions don't start until the 1st December, but the site is open now at www.slotjunkies.info for players to sign up and take a poke around. Obviously it's free to enter and you can read up on the competitions in the "Player Lounge" now and grab those casinos you think you're gonna need. I'm looking for feedback between now and then...any comments, ideas...anything to help make it run smoothly. Is the FAQ good enough? Rules clear enough? etc etc
The competitions so far sponsored for December include The Progressive Challenge, "Thunderstruck" (well d'uh!), "The Hulk", "X-men", "Rapid Fire Jackpots", "What On Earth", "Bejeweled", "Spring Break" & "Mermaids Millions". Also, its quite possible that "Tomb Raider" and "Jungle Jim" will make an appearance this week but I've not had confirmation.
Casinos who have offerred to sponsor so far are all MG or Crypto and all Meister-accredited (with the exception of Littlewoods who are more than creditable as any Brit will tell you!) and all take players from the US, UK and much of Europe. They are Roxy Palace, Intercasino, Littlewoods, 32Red, Trident Lounge, Sands of the Caribbean and King Neptunes (also Trident group). I also have a couple more approach me who may be added to that list.
As its kind of a new idea, we'll be evaluating it during December, check it's being played in the right spirit - that kind of thing - and if the sponsors are happy, and you guys like it, hopefully we can roll it over month on month. I've added a couple of very basic "minimum" requirements more as anti-abuse measures to be honest - a $50 minimum deposit (but over the whole month, noyt just up-front) and wagering equal to the prizes on offer in each comp - seems fair. They may be too low, or indeed not be necessary at all if everyone's playing it fair but as i say, we'll see how December pans out and if its popular from both sides, fix it for January.
The main thing is it gets us all showing off and finally proves once and for all that Slotster is nothing but a second-rate Slot Junkie compared to the king
Anyway, take a look-see at www.slotjunkies.info.
Cheers

PS. By the way, i forgot to mention that i was having a few problems with the email running slower than snail-mail on the server last week so if the activation link is slow to turn up, let me know. I have a backup plan!
