Calling All Ontarians

Cheapest option is to get yourself to Toronto (train is $56.50 booked in advance), then up to Dundas and Spadina, to catch a Casino shuttle with Angel Tours. Or alternately, another location in Toronto by subway or bus for $10 return.

I had been thinking Brantford was closer to TO than it is.

How long is it from Toronto? I was thinking too, that if you want to go to Kitchener in October, there is a direct train from Kingston to Brantford. I have a spare room, and also if the stairs are too much. I have a recliner couch with a main floor loo. You can stay here for the night ( it's a smoking house) have some drinks and take a cab to kitchener. It wouldn't cost more than 60 dollars.

Hey, the distance ratio applies both ways. It's not like you're closer to me than I am to you! :p

or are you.......:eek:

I say a nice, middle, neutral meeting point. Say, Greenland
:laugh: Problem is, Ontario ( province) is so damn big. Probably the size of Europe. It takes 3 days of driving to get from one end to the other!

About 40 years ago, in some other life before kiddo, roadtripped up to Kitchener for Oktoberfest. We did enjoy ourselves. Us four girls were the only women under 50 I think at that particular venue, and we had the undivided attention of all 10 Junior Farmers that had come to the banquet. We did end up at the roller rink where the young people partied later on.

Oktoberfest was my first stewed pig's tail.

Thank you. Might take you up on it at some point then. I am hopeful that surgery will bring a big improvement for me this summer/fall.
if, for any cause you happen to hit Georgian Downs, it's down the street and I can come by :)

My door is always open! And my Grandmother was German, Scottish Grandfather.....both off the boat! ( cattle boat to be precise) I grew up hating both cuisine, but love the salads my Grandmother made, and I have carried the tradition. My mother and Auntie's favorite story was making headcheese from scratch. It would take all day peeling the pigs head. :rolleyes: And are you sure you're not thinking of Oxtail soup?

Okay. I have done jack shit this summer due to health YET AGAIN!
@Jasminebed
Do you want to do Montreal at the end of September. I'm using a walker right now ( short term) too. We can get nicely pissed and have walker races, eat great food and gamble. What do you think?
