I have been a player since the ancient years of online casinos. Had my ups and downs.

This evening logged into my CR rewards and went on to talk to a rep. Asked if I had any bonuses not claimed yet. He stated , You will not get to use your VIP points. I was set back, and asked why as I was a member since 2001. There was no reason given.

I think this is the starting to the end of online casinos, this bu**s*^t do whatever they want without any rules or regulations.

I think of my 10+ years with Casino Rewards group, they must be up a few thousand on me. This is crazy...

Here is a snippet of my convo:

Axel: $100 deposit gets 10,000 in VIP Points (which is = $100 in bonus money)

Axel: The temporary suspension of Casino Rewards VIP points is based on a number of contributing factors, including your entire history within the Casino Rewards network.

Axel: As indicated in your Casino Rewards page, we are unable to provide you with the specific criteria by which the suspension will be lifted.

Axel: We simply ask that you continue to demonstrate an intention to play, deposit & wager at the casino in accordance with the casino’s terms and conditions. Your entitlement to redeem points will then be replaced.

    me: Ummmm

    me: i never knew this

    me: When was I suspended

Axel: I don't know, it just appeared on the account when I openned it.

Axel: it will go away though.

    What do you mean "GOING"....??

Have you been reading about them here the past few years?

Move on and choose from the CM accredited list.

CR will not make an exception for you, so don't waste your time emailing and calling.

I just realized they were not accredited, but, after 10+ years in the business, you'd think they would know how to operate a casino...

Yeah not a big fan of Casino Rewards, they have many many Microgaming casinos and not a single one has been accredited, to me that say's something but my opinion is also based on personal experience :)

The above valid comments to one side for the moment; if we take the OP's story at face value this behaviour by the casino smacks of arrogance and a complete lack of player sensitivity in that (a) they apparently did not bother to advise the player of their actions and (b) decline to even indicate the category that their action falls under (it rather sounds as if they regard the OP as falling into one of those BS and player-hostile casino categories that they label "bonus abuse" or "advantage player.")

In the OPs place I would on the pure principle of being treated so badly want to fight the case on. Isn't Casino Rewards licensed by the KGC? The mediator there is both fair and efficient in my view and that would make a good starting point where the casino management are compelled to respond to the licensor.

Not sure where Casino Rewards stands in relation to Max and the PAB system - that is equally efficient and a true third and totally independent party.

From the PAB point of view the CR casinos are a pretty mixed bag, but no blatant offenders come immediately to mind. The rep is good, and responsive, although it always comes down to the individual casino's willingness to cooperate. As Jetset said, with the KGC behind many (or all?) of those casinos I would fully expect that any dispute would be dealt with promptly and fairly.

CR most definitely have some kind of algorithm/process that automatically bans players from promotions once a certain point is reached....but CR will never and have never said where exactly that point is.

CM members have come to learn what a couple of the "triggers" are just by putting the information in player complaints together. I know that bonus vs deposit ratio and lifetime win/loss are two of these triggers.

The whole program stinks and will always be a turnoff to most players here. I feel sorry for non-CM players who always find out the hard way.

Unless the bonus was specifically offered on a specific deposit or promotion, then CR should honour it....but they won't. The terms (IIRC) include information about the bonus system and covers their behind in these cases, and they always refer to it whenever a complaint is posted here. I don't remember a case where they reversed their decision either, even with the rep involved.

I don't want to rain on the OP's parade, but from experience I'd say the outlook is fairly bleak.

Of course, they want you to deposit. If you win, you have to deposit even more in the future to make this go away.

They do, but not in the way educated players want them to. They spam, they offer you huge bonuses whether you are eligable or not, they are trying to make loyal players feel like they owe the casino bonus free deposits.

They are making money, I'm sure of it. However, more and more players realize that there are better options. The accredited list here shows us that. 32Red, Golden Lounge, Nedplay and DASH are the best MG casinos you can find. No reversal periods etc.

Renee, CR:s rep here is helpful and players can contact her. She has always answered me and I suppose she answers others aswell. She does not participate in the open forum here but she answers PM:s. That's the only positive thing we can see about CR here. Your case is probably not a case where she can help, you simply have to deposit more. Not a big case according to them.

    Spot on!

This looks like the OP has just opened another CR account as there are no 100% boni offered to existing players. This ban tends to kick in when players open a new account at a point where their bonus to deposit ratio is already too high. The problem with this system is that it can mess up royally when a player is still relatively new, as it takes no account of variances that may cause a player to get well ahead after only a couple of deposits. This can lose them what might have been a valuable high rolling customer.

This is EXACTLY the mistake CR made with me in 2004/5. I went ahead on only my second deposit, and they suspended my VIP points. This cost them north of 100K in loyal player deposits which all went to Casino Action, who did not pull any of this BS. It was only when CR started buying up Casino Action bit by bit did they realise their major screwup, and I was suddenly made VIP at a group I had not been near in half a decade.

CR went on to buy up almost every damn group I played at, so by a creeping process, I have more accounts at CR than all other MGS groups put together.

So far, they treat me as a VIP, but will I ever trust them like I do 32Red - not a chance.

Suspend my VIP points, and I will not just walk, I will RUN.

This "show intent to play with your own funds" is bullshit when they suddenly claim that a player since the early days has suddeny not shown such an intent after many years.

They also claim not to know the algorithm being used, which is such a crock of sh1t. Front line CS probably don't know, but someone put it in place, so someone knows.

It also seems that NOT playing for a few months can have the desired effect of unlocking the VIP points - just let them know that you have migrated to the competition with your deposits;)

A complaint to the KGC could work if you can show that you were personally invited to take the bonus that by taking caused you to be classed as a bonus abuser.

The sneaky thing they do is to ensure that it is only AFTER you deposit you find out your points are locked. If in doubt, log in to rewards BEFORE the deposit to check that you can redeem points, and then redeem them ASAP afterwards. If you can still redeem, it appears that this will remain the case until you submit your next withdrawal. However small, it seems that a withdrawal is what causes their algorithm to recalculate.

Planet Tharg, dark side, where nothing grows.
Going?, they're so far down the hill even the Duke of York gave up on them. Freezing your legitimately gained loyalty points as soon as the deposit / withdrawal ratio tips the scales in your favour, that alone would put the Virtual group to shame.

Yeah, it's a shame. I can only imagine if big jackpots were won.

I think the only option now is to look at CM's accredited list, as we only have a chance if casinos work with us. I think *eventually* we'll see these guys drop of the map, players are learning that this type of behaviour is not going to work. With the amount of competition out there, we'll soon weed out these guys.
