Another shocker with the expensive feature buys, this one has a 700x stake feature buy for the 'double feature'.

Did seven on them on the trot (in demo play of course :D ) and none of them were even money back, a return in the 200-250x range doesn't seem that unusual either. Doubtless it could have done more but I lost interest at that point. (Worst I had was 170x stake.)

It can actually do 'complete miss' spins as well, in a feature that costs 700x stake.

More rotten streamer bait.

I gave it a bash with a £40 start and after about 20 minutes on minimal bets I was almost busted out then this hit in the base game. Then not long after I got a bonus.
Hit and run I did. The base game can be brutal unless you have a decent size war chest to start with.
I quite like it :)

Had a 60x hit in the basegame that made me about even, didnt manage a bonus.
Might give it another go if i have a hit on something else first, it gave me the impression it could gobble up €20 without giving a win more or less.
It can go through £20 in no time. Just gaining your stake back can seem like a result. But its volatility means it can also quite easily kick out some huge wins I'm sure

Yeah, i got some wilds that linked up with a premium for the 60x thought it would be way less, and i took it as a get out jail free card and ran, since it had taken €12 from my €20 deposit in no time at all.
If i had a bigger balance i might have stayed and tried for a bonus.

I must say tho, i usually stay away from games with a bonus buy option.
Maybe its just in my head, but they always seem so hard to bonus in the basegame, as if to push the buy options.

Yeah. I think that 700x bonus buys will have a limited shelf life before all reputable durestictions ban them. But they must use a different mechanic for those who can not bonus buy?

How do you mean they must use a different mechanic for those who cant buy the bonus?

Edit: Or what do you mean by that i guess, im a bit thick.
:p

In fairness NLC still seem to do a decent job of balancing their games for the non-bonus buy player, but the mere existence of them - especially the 'super' bonus buys - still puts me off playing the games that incorporate them.

More than anything I object to the maths on them, for example in this latest game a 700x stake feature buy returned 170x stake, that's an appalling loss and the damage the thing could do, even on minimum bets, is pretty horrendous. White Rabbit, where you get most of your feature buy back, most of the time, these games most certainly are not.

I'm not anti-NLC, I'm anti-massive bonus buys, I was actually playing WIXX last night whilst writing the previous post to this thread :)

Yeah, im the same, not a fan of bonus buys.
Does nothing for me and my small deposits.

White rabbit & Extra chilli (if reduced by coins) are the only bonuses i buy.
But like you say, White rabbit often gives back 50-80% of a bonus buy on the ones ending up in a loss, and i can buy one for €10 instead of the €100-200 it might cost on a NLC slot.

Stats for today's gaming on this monster.

- 500x lost in 2 hours on 40p stake.
- Highest win 7x. Yes, 7x.
- Didn't even see ONE bonus!

There's volatility, and then there's just outright butchery. NLC are going on my ban list, this and that Infectious X Ways game are something else.

What you are essentially saying is, it needs to be rigged better so you can’t lose so much on the bonus buys. I thought you were a believer of random? Then that is what you might expect, no?

You gave it 7 attempts which is an extremely small sample. If you had hit x15,000 on the next attempt (hypothetical 8th), would it have been the best slot ever?

I am not defending the bonus buys, I think they are appalling but they are just condensed passages of play that speed up the money losing exercise so it’s to be expected. There will be a high percentage of abysmal returns to pay for the ones that pay huge, it’s obvious.
