Building Bank

Hey everyone

I'm a low stakes player still (10p -20p usually) but ive been trying to build my bank and jump up a level and cant seem to manage it. I know i could just stop playing for a bit and save up but it would take me weeks to get a decent amount and if I then lost it all straight away i reckon I might lose my mind. I also dont want to jump up to higher stakes too soon and lose my weekly bankroll in 15 spins...

Are there any games you would recommend to try and creep my balance up? Obviously its slotting so its all luck, I get it, but id be interested to hear peoples advice.

Thanks!

I find a fair few Elk games are ok balance boosters, in that they bonus often; you arent likely to see large wins but a couple in succession and your balance can creep up, and ok for longevity.

Classics like Thundrestruck and its clones arent terrible balance drainers.

Just avoid highly volatile games and your bankroll 'should' last you a bit longer overall

I've been depositing smaller amounts lately and got some lucky hits on Dawn of Egypt (Play 'n Go), notably at VS - where the RTP of PnG games is lower than average. A few 200x to 500x hits while I was betting 0.10 to 0.20 a spin. But in the end, it all comes down to luck and timing, of course.

Personally, I would advise against games like Piggy Riches Megaways and Lil' Devil. Fun games, but highly volatile (and I've not been very lucky playing them).

Good luck!

Don't think I've ever seen a gambler save money with their bank, just to have a high-roll session before

I know my bank hate me already but that's with lots of small gambling deposits :eek:

Alas, balance-builders are the grind-ey MG 9-liners because they're pretty 'safe' variance

There are other smaller-stakes providers but apart from DOA I & II, they're just as likely to give no playtime whatsoever

And as mentioned, most certainly avoid Megaways games when 'on a budget'. Only game that realistically would build up a balance is Bonanza, but it's just as likely to ruin you one's balance. Much like that blockbuster film, 'Gone In 60 Seconds' :(

I dont want to encourage you to spend quicker but if you bet 10p/20p and are trying to make a jump you could throw the odd 30/40/50p bet in the mix on a slot you feel a bit more confident in.

Maybe every 10 or so spins. Instead of saving for the bankroll.

You could also not deposit for a few weeks and get the bank roll that way :).

Also, a flip side to Dionysus suggestion would be to play the high volatility games for a chance of more reward such as some of the 10p megaways for a change OR games like Donuts, Lil Devil, DOA, Tombstone amongst others can all kick out some big wins on 10p and huge on 20p stakes.

Bigger bets on low volatility can go quicker than smaller on high 'sometimes', in my experience.

I would say only play high RTP and look for good promotions.

Perhaps small bet LV games like Monkey Madness (on the good RTP, not the 94%) or even many HV 0.05 - 0.10 bet games (books or megaways maybe).

The key is to only make a few spins and if you win then do some more to see what happens.
Even LV games can give 20% sessions, so there are no guarantees anyway.

Try them in fun play first, to see if you like them without any risk.

I actually prefer high-variance games for balance boosting.
Cant beat €200 on 9p with a doa wildline.
Novomatics bonuses are usually pretty good, but the slots are dreadful when not in the mood.

Thunderkick and some of the older netents are def "safer" when trying to build, but the drawback is that you have to keep winning for a long time to get the same boost that high-variance game can give in 1-2 bonuses.

Theres not really any safe ways to build the balance, if there was, casinos would not exist. :)

I also thought this was a thread about someone building a bank for us all who will give all us mere gamblers loans and credit cards with 0%............ Oh yeah I know UK no longer allow Credit Cards to gamble :p Just some banter :p

BTW people. Never ever gamble money you get if it is a loan or credit card ever.............

I'm not sure about balance boosting but if you want more play time with higher stakes i can suggest games like gemix and viking runecraft. Hard to hit any monsters but usually keep balance up because hit rate is very high

Those slots are only good if you are playing them at casinos with the highest RTP's that Play N Go have available and that casino has opted to use their maximum RTP! VS on the other hand Gemix and Runecraft is basically much harder now to maintain or build a balance on at their now reduced RTP's I used to play Gemix a lot at VS before they changed their RTP and selected a far lower RTP.

There is some Net Ent slots that still could be a good choice. Fruit Shop, Blood Suckers. min stake on fruit shop is 0.15 and 0.25 on bloodsuckers though. So might be a bit too high....

You can't build a bank like a poker player would. It's programmed rng slots that will make sure you hit the RTP long term which means you will never be able to grind bank. You will have upswings, of course, but you will always hit a wall and rip everything.. always. So hoping to make profits long term out of slots to be able to play higher stakes and win more is just completly delusional but gl with that :p.

Yeah I did say I realise it's all luck. It's just I seem to have short term success on certain slots quite regularly and if I get out at the right time I can slowly stockpile. So i wondered what other people's experiences were.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations!

Ive had a little success in a similar way to yourself sometimes.

When i think of times ive not got carried away and withdrawn the profit it makes me wonder how well i could have done if i had been more disciplined.

I get why a keen poker player might have steady gains because there are more variables in poker and ways of influencing a game but you cant influence a slot.

In slots i have seen my friend, who is the tightest person i know (he wont mind me saying that, im also a little jealous i dont think like him) make minimal deposits and maximise his withdrawals to create a steady profit.

He is going through a rough patch lately but over the last couple of years he has been making steady bank. Nothing major and his biggest win was about £1500 on Jack and the Beanstalk last year. But pretty sure he would have drawn the lot after making maybe a few bigger bets than usual for a bit more fun.

He plays 10 or 15 spins on a game and then moves on if its not looking good lol.

Hes not greedy and rarely gets carried away or sucked into a slot.

He also draws out the pennies - not always but no joke, though it does make me chuckle. Tight bastard.

Im not as disciplined but i can understand how a select few might make a few sheckles on a regular basis.

If you are tight and disciplined enough, why in earth somebody then decide to be that stupid that plays slots instead of investing that money to something else? Trading (sports, stocks, currencies or what so ever where tight people with great discipline can take money from inpatient ones) or poker, pretty much same goes there.

Would really assume that your friend would make better and more steady income by staying fcking far away from slots and leave these for stupid people who want to play games with negative return and use same money to something where tight people with discipline take money from inpatient ones really effective way.

Grinding poker or trading are fcking boring and you don't get rich fast but quite easily if you just have these skills your friend have.

He works, is a family man, has had a mortgage since 20 i think, him and his other half are always up to something and were planning a tour around Europe in a tour bus they bought second hand and have been slowly doing up.

Hes a bit of a 'del boy' and likes to have a few drinks whilst playing the slots over the past couple of years, late at night when the rest are in bed.

He might not strike you as being the most knowledgeable of people but the mortgage is almost paid off, had equity from is also and he has played the system smartly and well.

I think he could achieve more if he applied himself in certain areas but who am i to criticise. He has had his moments of stupidity and brilliance like every human being. Hes happy most of the time so hes pretty smart to me.

Dont get me wrong, the profit we are talking about is a just a tickle and a benefit of having some fun on the slots. I guess steady profit would be a better term than income.

He will deposit £20 and feel out each and every slot with 10 or 20 spins, i find it boring changing so quickly. Gemix is his favourite game by a mile and from that £20 he will draw £30 if he makes it or ive known him to go to bed leaving a tenner in for the next day because he wasnt feeling it.

Just meant that such a discipline with bankroll management would pay much better in somewhere where you play against other people, not random machine where your winnings anyway after all are based on your luck. In poker or different trades of forming you are to win for long term for sure if you have these great skills he haves (also needs nerves to do something what's really boring) to be tight and disciplined with no exceptions in any situation.

Oh definitely!

If you met him you would maybe think hes not the stock market trading kind.

His income comes from work and his missus. She managed a family jewellers and has a few contacts and ways she makes a bit on the side but has just effectively retired in her forties following some inheritance and a desire to make money her own way through selling online etc.

Their quite a pair.

Dont think i have spotted anyone on here who gives the impression they make a steady income from slots. Does the industry see it do you know?

Ive heard of people being banned through winning constantly. My pal probably doesnt even flag up with his deposits and withdrawals.
