I dont know what it is but RTG is killing me as of late, just played at LasVegasUSA, $112 balance, 1 dollar spins, 4 different real slots and not 1 bonus on anything, just sucked me dry, same at Inet yesterday, I love RTG but when its bad nothing is worse. Time to quit, another $65 at Gold Standard and same thing not 1 bonus game.

I third that! No clue what is going on. The managers of a few RTG casinos I have asked swear they haven't turned off the spigot. Sure feels like it sometimes. I periodically try again and just lose.

Last night I deposited $100 to a RTG casino actually took a bonus this time so had $200 to play with. I played $1.00 bets on Raindance and hit one feature in about 100 spins. Little wins here and there to keep me going. The way I survived as long as I did I got crazy figuring I was going to lose it all anyway might as well get rid of it. Not a good way to think but it worked for a while.

I was making $10.00 per spin bets and hitting $100.00 here and there. Still few features and few spins paying within the feature. I still had over $2500 WR to meet and said hell with it. Just went down in flames.

I am actually chicken to not play with a bonus at a RTG right now, but only the good ones, just incase the planets align and I hit a random.

I've had no luck either.

With $100 deposit and $100 match bonus think I got a bonus round twice (different games) and both payouts were about $25 at $2 per spin. I could accept that if the regular spins were paying something.

Tried another RTG and did just as bad.

I really like their games but this is getting ridiculous. This has to be more than just bad luck.

I am glad someone else is on the same page as I am. It just isn't worth my time to throw away my money and not even get some playing time. I usually play $2 bets and if I get no hits/features to sustain me I go bust in 15 mins. What's the fun in that!

The reason the bonuses tick me off so much in the RTG casinos right now is I can't get out when I'm not hitting anything. For a !00% bonus on a $100 deposit the play through was 50X.

Oh well I am going to watch Ghost Whisperer and save my moola.

same sad experiences. I only play slots at RTG and am prepard to loose- but it is simply boaring - putting 100 or 200 into the machines and seeing not even a feature.
only hope - teh last times - was to hit a random, but...

I decided to give RTG one more try. Figured if it was across the board then it would be my last visit to a RTG. Have you noticed in the Winner Screenshots any RTG shots? I haven't in a while. ::hmmmmm::

Anyway, last night deposited $100 to unnamed RTG casino and it was gone within 30 minutes. That was a GOOD session sad to say. Usually it takes only 15 mins to drop that much.

I played around and didn't focus on one Real_Series Video slot. Finally I settled in on Raindance because it kept hitting with two scatters and giving me that extra spin for the feature. It did that over 10X! Never hit the feature once. By that time I was fed up. Went to few other games and never hit a feature or even got enough to sustain me.

Bu bye RTGs until I see some winning screenshots again!

Geeze !! I thought they had just tightened them up real good for me. I have not won anything decent over at Bodog or Club World in about two weeks now.

This is the time of the year though that they will be passing out Christmas bonuses to their employees. Maybe they have to save up for this.

same thing with mg

been at the same mg casino for about four weeks. seems like i get the same progression every time i play. straight down the line losses then recoup about 50percent then down to zero. it is so predictable.(why do i keep playing?) being in the u.s., i really think the casinos still operating here can see the writing on the wall and are just loading up before they jump ship also. i have yet to have a decent win at a mg casino since they passed the gaming bill (golden tiger, allslots).

I have been slowly closing my accounts permanently after a run of deposits and no withhdrawals. If I deposit up to 15 times without a withdrawal on any given session, I e-mail them and close it.

No sense in trying to beat a dead horse, especially when you know something odd is happening at some of these casinos. I have closed 4 so far. Sticking with whats paying.

I don't mind paying and playing, but when a session lasts less than 15 minutes at an average bet (nothing wild and craxzy here) then its time to move on, IMO.

No wonder they have no money to pay, look at the "large winners" who won some jackpots in the newsletter. I can't even believe they listed them

Old / Expired Link

Note the guy who won $7 and another $29 in the jackpot (Talking about being tight)
I thought you were joking - but it's real!

That is totally unbelievable.

I have also been off RTG's for about 3 months now.
I did try one last month 'just to check' but blew through $200 in no time with only 1 half decent bonus round on one slot. The others just sucked up my money like a sponge... :(

Hi Guys,
I am afraid I do not really see your point in regards to the smaller Jackpots listed.
If you had taken the time to look at the Old / Expired Link on these particular games, you would have see that the Pharaohs Gold Jackpot is small but pays out very often.
The players listed still won jackpots. Even small winners like to see their names "up in lights" along with the bigger ones such as the $10,652 winner of Cleopatra's Gold or the member who won and was paid over $100,000 playing Joker Poker.
This section of the Newsletter is there to congratulate all Jackpot winners both big and small.

That really wasn't the point of the post. We are all agreeing in this thread the RTG casinos aren't behaving as they have in the past. I don't know what to tell you but I normally would deposit $100 to my casino account and play for hours. Hitting free spins periodically to let me to continue to play.

I didn't always have any winnings but went away feeling I had a fair play. Now when I play in any RTG I get that pre free spin in Raindance, for example, 10x the other night. Never once hitting the feature. I play Red Sands. Never hit a feature once in about 100 spins. Same thing across the board.

We are all experiencing the same thing. It could be coincidental. I will leave it at that.

Hi Addisyn,
I was not trying to derail the thread. However the last two posts were commenting on out latest Newsletter and I felt this needed to be addressed.
As to the slots not paying out, well as the Newsletter attests, members are still winning on a regular basis here at iNetBet. The recent winner’s screenshots thread, here at Casinomeister, includes a number of these.
We are processing payout from slots wins every day and have not noticed any changes or major increase in the hold. The overall payouts for these slots this month so far is just over 96%. Which I am sure you will agree is not an unreasonable % for these types of games.
Please remember that there are many many players who do not frequent public boards who play and win. Even regular board users/viewers win but do not post up or join in actively to discussions.
Best Regards

I guess I am just in the "unlucky" batch then.

In my history of online gambling I have yet to cash out from an RTG casino...I know they have the BIG TIME winners..but I am sure they probably deposit a lot. I have had probably 10 cashouts from MG casinos, and my only regret this weekend is deciding which casino to deposit my only "disposable" cash of $20 with..an RTG or an MG. I wish I would've taken the chance with an MG. Oh well...

RTG

Well, we all know that RTG allow the individual operators to alter the payouts of the games. With tables and poker it is done by altering the paytables, but with slots it is hard to see what has been done because they don't use proper reelbands as do Microgaming.
I have had over a dozen bonus rounds recently at King Solomons. Most were bad, some were awful. The best paid around 60x bet, but the rest were no more that 25x bet, with many not even making 10x bet, even with retriggers! Worse, the line wins are rarely up to much. I actually came out ahead in the last session, but what is amazing is how LITTLE I won with all those bonus rounds. Would be better to have less, but better ones.
I play bonus slots because of the lure of a decent bonus round, too many like that and I will lose interest. Most other games are not allowed for the various coupons, so if the slots get boring, I may have to play elsewhere, and sod the 75% bonuses.

Well, we all know that RTG allow the individual operators to alter the payouts of the games. With tables and poker it is done by altering the paytables, but with slots it is hard to see what has been done because they don't use proper reelbands as do Microgaming.

This question has also bugged me a lot. We know for sure that the RTG casino mangers can change the payout%, but how does the slots implement this ie. what is changed for the slots?

I see the following solutions:

1) (Hard to explain) The reels are an deception at RTG 5-reel slots. Only a single random is used to generate the win. The reels are then just showing a position matching this win. This is not the standard way 5-reel slots are working and it is a kind of cheating the players actually showing the reels. I do not hope this is true. But if it is, then it is very easy to change the payout%, and this is why I include this case. Rival and MG slots does not work this way! , and I think the big majorty of casino slot-software also does not work this way. 'Normally' the 5-reel are actually used to determined the spin result and then the win is calculated. Doing it the other way around is deceptive. (Like showing a card game where it is actually not.) I must state that I do not believe that this is the case, but I am not sure. If someone found the reels for a standard RTG then the SlotAnalyzer program could test it.

2) When changing the payout% for a slot it also changes the reels and only the reels (symbols on the reels). Paytable is the same. This would be the perfect way to do it.

3) The reels stay the same, but wins from 'bonus games' are decreased.
Examples:
For 'picking bonus games' this is easy. Simply just decrease the average win.
For games like 'Fruit Frenzy' simply just reduce the chance to hit. (We have seen this in action... It reduced the payout but 20% when you could never hit)
For games that gives a random #freespins and #Multiplier simply just decrease these.
I do not like this solution!

4) For the Rapid Fire Jackpot slots there also is this solution. Decrease the contribution from each spin to the jackpot and give it to the casino. This I would also say is a fair way to do it.

5) Changing the paytables. I know this is not the case for RTG since the paytables are the same for all RTG casinos, but I am listing it to make the list complete. This is also a fair way to it and was used by Rival.

Can anyone think of more ways to do it? Of course mixing several of these solution can also be used.

I must add that I actually disapprove of changing the payout% for a slot unless it is done for all casinos, because the players never know what they get.
When you play 'Thunderstruck' it is always the same no matter what MG casino you play it. I believe it hurts the RTG brand that the same slot is actually not the same slot for individual casinos or over time.

Man you have a SERIOUS gambling problem!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stop NOW!

(If you really can't stop, at least give RTG's a miss - there is something seriously wrong with their slots :( Try Hype or inChilli instead!)

Slow

A while back, RTG slots were really SLOW, and it was pretty obvious the reels were a sham when the third bonus symbol was needed. With this, RTG slots use a rising tone and spin the reel for much longer than usual, and it was surprising how suddenly on Goldbeard the final reel went on and on and there was not a SINGLE GOLBEARD to be seen come past!!! In normal mode, Goldbeard flashes past on a regular basis. To me, this means the RTG reelbands are fluid, not fixed as in MG, and can change on a spin by spin basis, also changing between normal and bonus spins (they have us believe the changes to the reels during bonus rounds improve our chances, but if the wins are not determined by random reel stops then it is just an illusion).

It reminds me of Lasseters, who use an infinite deck model for Blackjack, perhaps RTG have something similar for generating the reels on the fly depending on payout percentage settings made by the operator for various parts of the slot game. This would make them "Fruit Machines (as in rigged to percentage settings)", not traditional random casino slots.

This question has also bugged me a lot. We know for sure that the RTG casino mangers can change the payout%, but how does the slots implement this ie. what is changed for the slots?

Rival and MG slots does not work this way! , and I think the big majorty of casino slot-software also does not work this way. 'Normally' the 5-reel are actually used to determined the spin result and then the win is calculated. Doing it the other way around is deceptive. (Like showing a card game where it is actually not.) I must state that I do not believe that this is the case, but I am not sure. If someone found the reels for a standard RTG then the SlotAnalyzer program could test it.

i am not sure, if this helps - but:
in the early days of Cleos gold it was easily to predict, when the feature was to come, because all the five "wheels" turned much longer than in a normal spin, sometimes so long that you began to think of a connection problem.
and when they finally landed - you had the free spins - always!

and a second thing that made me wonder: i hit the 3 achilles once and left the game without choosing one! When i came back a minute later, it showed 15 free games .-- hmmm???

Yes, excactly what I described in 1) which was the worst case scenario.
I have not really seen this myself at RTG. I have been watching Ceasar's Empire where you need to get a colloseum on the last reel. It is an extremely long reel with just 1 colloseum, but it does seem to be the same wether it will be important to hit it or not. So I can not confirm this from this slot.
For me it would be very important if RTG are actually faking the reels to match a given payout and very unethical. However I am not sure most casual slot players are aware enough of this deception or understands it. I am sure RTG does not care though. But for me this is just a no-no on the same level as faking card/dice games. However the wierd Nevada law only covers games with card/dice. So not much to do about if it indeed is true. (Except I would never touch a RTG slot again). Changing reels during the bonus game is also deception unless the players are made aware of it. And bascially this should only be allowed where 1 symbol replaces another or similar, which is the
mechanic in 'Moonshine' and also 'Caesars Empire'.

If it is a Fruit slot people show be aware of that! And actually expect a 6-sided dice to land on #1 about 50% of the time etc. (Reminds me of a bonus game on a slot at Starluck casino. Cant remember the slot name though)

Strange, but I made the exact opposite observation!
I RTG slots are the only ones I can think of where the spin is slow enough to see the symbols spinning past - and the reels aways seem 'true' to me.
i.e. when that 5th reel is spinning I can see the symbol I need go past every time! Knowing roughly the length of time it spins & seeing where the symbol is I am happy that it stops correctly. (i.e. the bonus symbol is in or not in the window as I predict).
However, as Mikepipe said, I am 100% convinced that the software decides the moment you hit 'spin' if you will get the feature or not, and then it just stops the reels in the relevant positions.

well i finally had a good session at inet after getting slaughtered for weeks. now comes the fun part. im cashing out. i live in one of the evil states where gambling is a no no but inet has gladly accepted my deposits no problem. lets see how the cashout goes. lol. also maple still accepts my wagers and has continued to mail me checks even though i dont live in the free zone.

Add me to the soaked at iNet list... Never been up there. But virtually every session I have had at VIP and 49ers I at least get a few good wins and cash out about 75% of the time.
I've got some spare cash here so I'm gonna give it another $50 and see if they can prove me wrong.

Well that didn't take long, deposited $50 got a match bonus and played with $100 Spun about 125 spins and now just cleaning out less than a buck.
Big thumbs down... How is this fun?

I guess Im alone

Geez

I guess I stand alone here. Play United has been great to me. I have been hitting bonuses with retriggers left and right. I cashed out 3 times since Sunday. Cleopatra is up to almost 16k, there are atleast 4 games at 6K and a few at 5K. Diamond Dozen just hit for $7K yesterday. Golden Glove isnt too bad either.

If you go.....the Lion one isnt that good and honey to the bee isnt that great but tiger treasures, cleopatra, aztec and caesers has been doing well for me. Ohh...mister money isnt that great either :)

That is about how my sessions at iNet go. I am down about $800 to them and usually bust out 10-20% thru the wagering requirement. I did have one small cashout on a poker coupon long ago.

It's strange because they are one of the few RTGs to actually publish their payout% and they look pretty good, but I've never had such consistent bad luck anywhere else.

I am just disappointed in the last few sessions at RTGs, Played at 49er today which is my favorite RTG. Quick payouts when I was actually cashing out.

Deposited $100. Got no features in any of the games I played and was down to zero in less than 10 mins. I, too, ask how is that fun!

I work as a software developer for RTG, working directly on the casino software, and alot of what's being said is completely off base.

It should be noted that I am not an official spokesman for RTG and nothing I say is official company speak, etc.

Our software is 100% fair. We literally do tens of millions of spins to verify the payout percentages of our slots.

There is nothing casino operators can do to modify our software to make it unfair. We provide operators with the ability to customize the casino in certain ways, but no matter what options they select the games are fair and have been tested.

We have lots of very talented and hard working folks working every day to make our software top notch.

I can't go into too many details of course, but in a month or two RTG software is probably the only thing you'll want to play on.

Hot/cold streaks happen, it's the nature of gambling games. I'm a poker player and have a great familiarity with variance. I'll close with some quotes from one of my fav. poker books when discussing random and independent events.

The human brain is terrific at identifying patterns.
.I usually supplement my slots play with blackjack when I get low on funds during a session and I find that there is a "pattern" for I have been doing this for years (other threads I have spoken of it this).

Last night for example, I ran my funds down 6 times in slot play, went to multi hand spanish bj 4 times and on the 4th time, I almost lost all of it which was my clue to "switch" bj games, and switched to reg multi hand bj for the next 3 visits and then busted out.

I usually can revisit blackjack about 5-6times on a given session before busting out EVERY SINGLE TIME. My husband actually makes me come into the computer room when he is playing slots also and his funds get down to $30 and has me rebuild it for him to extend his playing time also. There is a pattern I believe, for why is it I can play like this for YEARS if there wasn't a pattern in the software? Just my opinion and feeling.

Well there have been numerous threads recently where players ask legitimate questions about RTG slots, but they were ignored for no reason (it's not like they would have revealed any trade secrets or anything by answering some very simple questions). So RTG is off base, not the players.

This is something I used to do too. It worked most of the time.

Reminds me of the acid days of old.

I didn't mean my post as any sort of attack on anyone, but as simply as reassurance, for whatever that's worth. I know nothing I say will be able to convince anyone who's already made up their mind about something, but like I said, I just wanted to offer assurances that you ARE getting a fair shake.

It's just frustrating to see some people so convinced of something you have first hand knowledge is wrong.

And as always, standard disclaimer, I'm not an official company spokesman nor in the PR dept or anything like that. Just my own thoughts/opinions.

After a few thousand in deposits and the new "upgrade" for Club World casino, the games have gone straight down the tubes. Never have I had so many downright unimaginable plays in the world. Even real life couldn't duplicate what Club World has done to the games., And before anyone jumps on the bandwagon screaming "another one thinking the games are fixed", you will be way off base here. This is NOT what I am saying or trying to get across.

I sent an email to Club World stating this same fact after the upgrades and asked them if they even considered playing their own games to "see" how it responds to any given player. Never heard another thing. Stayed away for about a month to see if anything has changed, and it hasn't.

This is the results of 100's of hands (PLAYING PERFECT STRATEGY EVEN) with an average win of about 5 out of 40 since the upgrade. The dealer was dealt in sequence 6 aces in a row and had 4 blackjacks and a 20....after that run for the dealer I decided to make a copy of a hand or two which I did back to back just to get across the idea of just what kind of hands they are putting out CONTINUOUSLY since the upgrade..a player doesn't have a chance here at all.

Now, I hit the bonus round 3 times (on my trial period of thinking of making a return to play) during this most recent session which I found exciting, until I received a bonus payoff in the amounts of $6-12 respectively for all 3 rounds.

Old Attachment (Invalid)

I have hit this bonus round at another RTG MANY TIMES and have come away with $100-250 each and almost every time on a $1 bet. Here I bet $2 just for effect.

This is at Club World Casino.
I am not saying it is not a good casino, I am saying it is a casino that might want to go back and test their own games for IMO, it is not a very good place to invest in if you plan on trying to make your money last.

This is not sour grapes, or a bad run (for I am winning at other RTG's, and MG casinos) It is this casino only I find the play so very "off" compared to other RTG's that I am amazed no one else sees it or has brought it up.

This casino has truly changed from when I first started playing there and I can't believe no one else has noticed this. And because it IS on the casinmeister's list, I would loved to have stayed, but must pass for now.

I simply dont know: Is there anything that sould prevent me from substituting CLUB WORLD by any other RTG name?
I had absolutely identical experiences with CLUB WORLD (3k for nothing), absolutely identical with 49er (2,5k for nothing) desasters with King Solomons (-23k over one year) and so on.
Either its bad luck for a heavy lot of us, or RTG isnt what we would call "fair"

I reduced my RTG activity on inetbet, approx. 500 a week, and the results are ok.
I can reduce that to a simple point: i dont trust them anymore (except Emily)
