Broken humerus (which isn't humerous!)

Had a bad fall on Xmas Eve and as a result fractured the humerus in three places. Pain! PAIN! PAIN!!!

Now six weeks later, even though I am doing physio, I can't raise my arm above the elbow, unless I support it with my other arm, in which case I can raise it up to the break point before I start the screaming.

I am now starting to panic - what if I can never use my arm properly again?

Anyone out there who has had this type of break, and can reassure me?

On the plus side, I have invested in Dragon NaturallySpeaking, which has made life a lot easier re emails and the like.

You poor thing, I can't help much on the reassurance side, except to recommend comfrey in speeding your recovery.

The use of comfrey is a good way to repair broken bones quickly and properly, it was called knit-bone by the ancient Britons.

Thank you very much for the tip. I shall buy some comfrey tea and see how that goes.
