Bovada's sister site Ignitioncasino.eu processor is skimming off the top of deposits.

Head's up if you deposit via cc at Ignitioncasino.eu. Their processor (since June) has been stealing an extra piece of the pie, on top of Ignition's 7.9% fee for using a cc. (My bank won't let me do more than 2 international transactions a day w/out freaking out so I keep this separate account to use at ignition, more or less.)

I alerted them of the illegal skimming asked for basically my $5 at that time back, they said to send bank statements showing the overages (after of course telling me it was the bank fee, which are separate on my statements, fwiw).

Did that this week (had to wait for June's statement, then decided to just send June & July), w/two months of overages shown. Ignitions final response was this:

So. Stealing from their customers? Just a "conversion rate fluctuation."

Totally rogue behavior, imo, to defend this theft. Asked if they have a casino rep, just got the conversion "explanation" again. Avoid at all costs, imho. (Edit: Ignition has no rep listing so I did give the Bovada rep a head's up.)

Here's my deposit history for the last 31 days, plus corresponding bank statement.

I do use bitcoin, but as I stated, I keep this account for gaming only transactions when my other account already has two international transactions in a day(coinbase is international) to avoid their fraud dept calling me. It's just my "eh, why not" account, and it's easier and faster to pay w/a card sometimes.

For the record, slots.lv & bovada seem to have no problem finding a processor that won't steal. And stealing is NOT ok, whether finding a processor is hard or not.

eta: bummer to see an affiliate brush this off, Inspin.

    My question:

How does this processor handle W/Ds? Does it also use the conversion rate fluctuation?

    That phrase brings to mind:

Good question, my last ignition w/d was bit, iirc, so I don't have an answer there.

Not brushing it off, was just stating that alot of online casinos and poker rooms are having problems right now taking deposits with credit cards.. Lot of processors are adding "charges on top" without notifing the casino..

Which is why I notified the casino, expecting nothing but a quick resolution to a loyal customer, and rec'd the response above instead of a resolution.

Now that the Bovada rep has read the thread (though not responded yet) I pulled the screenshots. Can't ever be too careful when you bank with certain entities.

Update: No update. Bovada rep read the thread, was contacted via PM and didn't respond. In all I estimate that at $2 a deposit I've been shorted a small amount of $30. Instead of simply refunding this to my account (as Karolina has done anytime someone noticed a problem) Ignition and the Bovada rep are silent.

    Interesting way to do business.

ETA: I closed my accounts across the board. Good riddance, bovada, slots.lv, ignitioncasino.eu and cafecasino.lv.

    Resolved.

Hi all, last update. The player advocacy representative, Leanda, reached out to me and we've resolved the issue. While I won't be using my card to deposit again* I am satisfied with her resolution & attention to my concerns.

*until they change processors, and we all know how often that happens. lol
