I just started playing at Bovada. I don't have a pending withdraw; but as always, when I plan to continue to play I send my documents for verification right away to avoid delays later.
For my credit cards, I have always blocked out the middle digits. They are requesting that I send a scan without the middle numbers blocked.

Im not sure I am comfortable with this. No one else has ever asked for it this way. Is this SOP for a lot of places and I just have not come across one, or should I just pass and move on?

If you use that card for depositing they surely already have those numbers. They just want to make sure you actually possess that card.

If you don't use that card for depositing then it should not be required.

Having it in their database is a lot different than having it in a scanned email. Not any average joe employee has access to the payment database, which is also likely encrypted in terms of some of the data. Never send a complete scanned copy of the credit card especially to the low ranking employee who will be on the other side of the email. I wouldn't want to play at any place that bad.

Pizza hut use to request a carbon copy of the card used when ordering a pizza online. They would take your card and rub it on that thingy. I don't know if they just caught on to the stupidity of that as they are sending a low ranking employee to my door and I'm suppose to let him make a copy of my card  but they don't request it anymore when they deliver. The message saying they will request the card upon delivery is still on the page when placing your order but they don't make the copy anymore, nor do they even ask you to present the card.

No. No. No. No. No. No. No. NOooooooooooooooooooo

Always block out the middle 8 digits. They can see the first and last 4. That is more than enough. What next they need to see the 3 digit security code at the back? No No No No

i agree with what you say [however i was asked to rub a pencil over the card after it was covered with white paper if i remember it might have been the fax back form it self ,, back when they were the original casino

in any event ,i cover with a piece of tape the middle #'s front and back as the impresion comes through the revers side , also the 3 diget security code numbers
i hop ive added something

They do request the imprint on the document with a pencil as you mentioned. My card does not have raised digits so that was not an issue for me. I guess, i will just respond with a no. You have what you should need. If that is not sufficient then close my account.

I guess it does help to complain. I told them no thank you, and they replied that what they had was sufficient to verify my account.

Good job being reasonable and understanding Bovada

of course I'll be keeping this e-mail for good luck.
