Baptism by Fire - success Borgata Casino - New Jersey USA

While I think it's interesting to read information from the borgatta rep, I don't understand why they would try to be accredited on this website. They are a licensed, regulated casino in the state of new jersey. That'S all I need to know if I want to play there.

Would I worry about not getting paid if I won? Absolutely not, so it just seems strange that the borgata casino would even be rated or part of a group of online casinos that you may or may not trust. I would really be surprised if harrahs or trump casinos tried to become accredited here. For me, it just doesn't matter because their business, reputation and regulation says it all.

It's just an opinion, but I feel they are in a completely different league and really should not even be trying to be on any list here. If they want to be rated, it should be compared to other online casinos in nj but I would be extremely confident they would all pay and in a timely manner.

While these are valid points, keep in mind that even in jurisdictions where online gaming is 100% legal, that there are online casinos that are advised against here due to any number of reasons. So while being accredited by State of New Jersey authorities is an excellent stamp of approval, it doesn't encompass everything.

I think they might be going global in the future as New Jersey is trying to pass a law that allows international online gaming or something to that effect. If it does then being accredited here would give many players the confidence to give them a shot.
Casinomeister is probably the number 1 site online dedicated to player advocacy and is quite prestigious. Any casino worth their salt should want to become accredited here as that would show its dedication to providing a great service to its players. Just my opinion:)

I think ceasars has an online casino available outside the u.s. and wouldn't need to be
On an accredited list in order for them to attract many players. Their brand name is all that's needed. The borgatta doesn't have as large a prescense outside of n.j. in my opinion.

This would be the only reason I would imagine they would be on this website...for exposure and advertising. Trump, harrahs, ceasars are all in las vegas and atlantic city and their brands are known internationally. I just don't see them attempting to become accredited here. Time will tell, but can't see them getting involved at all.

Why are they promoting here? Sites that have affiliate links from what I've seen must be licensed in N.J..

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

Unless the law has changed I'd remove their ads and remove them from Baptism by Fire too.

If I'm wrong the Borgata rep can reply, can anyone be an affiliate for your site without a N.J. license?

I could in fact be wrong but I don't think so therefore I don't want site operators being sucked into advertising these sites when they should be licensed.

Hi there,
Anyone who wants to apply for a vendor license can be an affiliate. You simply need to be approved. With a vendor's license you can have a simply flat fee deal where should you choose to apply for an ancillary license you can also have a CPA deal. Rev share deals are not approved as of yet.

Borgata is very diligent about who becomes an affiliate so all sites that are advertising for us currently do have the required licenses.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any additional questions,
Jason

Hi there,
I am intrigued by your comments and I wanted to respond to with a straight forward answer. So, the first answer is simple. We want exposure. Casinomeister is a well established, trusted site and being associated with them is an honor for us if only for that one reason.

Another reason is because we'd like to engage the NJ population in a public forum where we can openly respond, deal with issues, read constructive feedback from casino players, etc. We considered opening our own forum but why reinvent the wheel? This is a great place for us to interact and I hope that as regulated online casinos acquire more traction, we can engage more players here.

Finally, though we are regulated, that doesn't always mean much to US players. There are a lot of thriving non regulated casinos available and while in the long run I believe regulated sites will be the only trusted choice, in the short term that is not the case. As long as players keep getting paid on time from unregulated sites, they will have some important advantages over us. We need to prove our case that regulated online casinos are the better choice and where better to do that than here with Casinomeister?

I'm always happy to answer any additional questions so feel free to ask if you have any. Otherwise, we check this site regularly and respond to all relevant posts.

Thanks,
Jason

You should have asked me that. I didn't see this until now. :D

I have a NJ Vendor license VIN 87275 - so yes, Casinomeister is authorized by the state of NJ to provide advertising for Borgata Casino.

Should borgata fail the baptism by fire for suing phil ivey? Not owning up to your own mistakes is not something accredited casinos do. Let alone, refusing to pay, and even suing a patron who did nothing illegal.
That's just plain silly. The court will make a decision on this - not you, not me. It has nothing to do with being accredited here.

Just because you are licensed and regulated doesn't mean that you will always make the right decision when it comes to fair treatment of players. Betfair, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Betfred are all comparative counterparts to the likes of Borgata, and they have made their share of mistakes. The Accreditation at Casinomeister is a two way street - representatives from the casino are connected to one of the largest and most established player communities. And the website itself is pretty awesome as well :D

But the Casinomeister community can offer the casino a vast amount of sage advice - and criticism, which IMO makes a more level playing field for the punter, and a better place for all.

Oh I see - 87275, Blitz21 GNBH & COKG. I made history I think a month or so ago by being the first site to ask to withdraw their license in Nevada & New Jersey.;) Startups can't compete in an unfair playing field and I disagree with many current procedures but that's another thread for another day.

A question for Bryan and/or Jason. If Borgatacasino were to become accredited here and a player had a problem is there any indication that Borgatacasino would be legally able to participate in the PAB process?

Would they be permitted to share info with a third party such as Casinomeister?

In the case of a player who has filed a complaint with the NJDGE would the casino be able to reach a conclusion different to what the State may say?

I think we'll have to cross that bridge when we get there. It could be a simple process like signing a NDF, or possibly just making an exception since they have certain restrictions. I'm not too concerned with this since we receive relatively few PABs that involve the Accreds that have high ranking scores - so I'll just deal with that when/if it comes.

I had a bit of a rant concerning Borgatacasino.com and I must say that the rep. Jason addressed my concerns in a satisfactory way (no, he didn't pay me off).

The fact is I will never be able to completely divorce myself from anything Borgata-related (see my review of their B&M casino here => https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/local-b-m-reviews.59062/) and I'm sure that with a little nudge here and there plus the support changes they have made their on-line incarnation will be a fine addition to the CM family.

As long as they are willing to listen to the concerns of their players I'm willing to give them another go.

I think many u.s. players know just how important regulated casinos are, they just have no choice. They play where they accept u.s. players but most likely would prefer to play at a licensed casino. I know I would if I could. The players are not protected in any way by playing at unregulated casinos such as rtg casinos but untilthings change for them, things will continue this way.

What would really interest me is the progress nj is making with other states to allow residents from pa for example to play at borgatta online. I'm interested in playing somewhere where audits are conducted by reputable companies and the casino will pay to u.s. bank account within 2 to 3 days....and is licensed and regulated. When this happens, the floodgates will open. It's up to the state lawmakers to make this happen as it will change the game for u.s. players and many unregulated online casinos.

I had a little go at Borgatacasino this weekend and had some nice luck along the way, nothing huge but enough to manage a nice 4X-my-deposit cashout.

borcashout.jpg

Here was a $183 (122X) win from a $1.50 spin on Candy Store....

bornicewin.jpg

Anyways, withdrawal request submitted at 9:27 PM on Sunday night (5/11) via ACH and the funds were in my bank by 6:00 AM this morning (5/13) so that's about 33 hours. Withdraw was automatically flushed instantly, no docs requested, and no fees from Borgatacasino or my bank. I will also add that the download client worked flawlessly and I experienced none of the disconnects that plagued it earlier. Overall, no problems whatsoever.

Hey John! Glad to see things are working out in your favor :)

So, it looks as Borgata is good to go. Any dissenters - please voice your objections. But as far as I'm concerned Borgata has breezed through.

I'm curious how CM feels about the letter that was issued by New Jersey to an affiliate to suspend promoting the online properties not licensed by the state of New Jersey? You can read the appropriate information here xxhttp://www.gpwa.org/forum/n-j-dge-tells-affiliates-not-promote-illegal-sites-217658.html

Are you going to remove all the properties here that aren't licensed by the state?

A momentous occasion is indeed upon us (US). Come on Bryan, say those words that we, in the forbidden zone, have been waiting to hear for thousands of years (well it seems like it). The Champagne is chillin' in the bucket!

Gotcha here:

So, is that it?

No big announcement?

Well, that was rather anti-climactic!

:yahoo:Anyways, if you are now accredited here I would like to welcome Jason Frank and the team over at Borgatacasino.com to the CM family.:yahoo::clap:

Now go use your ample resources to give New Jersey the best selection of games you can.

P.S. and will somebody please give me something from the Wizard of Oz collection?:eek2:

What a pleasant surprise! I wish I had of seen this 2 days ago because I was looking for a real good new casino. This is about to be my new favorite!

Eta: You have to be a NJ resident...of course!
I have the worst luck ever.
