Release date: January 14
Volatility: Very high - 10/10 according to Play'n GO :D

Everyone's favourite slot hero, Rich Wilde, uses his knowledge of history and hieroglyphics to help you turn over a new leaf in Book of Dead, a spellbinding 10-line slot game from Play’n GO.

Rich gallantly guides you through the mythical underworld of Ancient Egypt to help you step into the light after valuable encounters with Anubis and Osiris.

The legendary Book of the Dead can act as a wild symbol or a scatter symbol in the game to help you uncover winning combinations.

A free-spin sequence can be re-triggered again and again until the maximum prize of 250,000 coins is won. Book of Dead is alive with magic and excitement from cover to cover to rejuvenate and revitalize!

Will definitely play it, but seems to be a blatant rip off from the Novo classic "Book of RA"..
Not that i really care, though i do suspect the people @ Novo could have a problem with it.. :)

*yawn* another clone from the original Book of Ra classic slots (Novomatic)
Have slot designers no more imagination instead of trying to take pieces of the pie from very popular slots?

I was just thinking is this 1st April? Clearly the guys from Play'N'GO have spoken to Novomatic about this new slots or else I would say they have a legal battle ahead of them and should be ashamed of themselves. As this is not just a look a like it is a blatant copy of Book Of Ra.

Haha pretty much a clone of Book of Ra. But i don't see any problems. They name it differently, the symbols are differently etc.

I don't think that Novomatic has the copyright on a sun god from egypt! :)

Really looking forward to this.

lol, they decided to clone Book of Ra, and all they had to come up with was a good name. And they decided to name it 'Book of Dead'?? Something they came up with 3 am 1st of January?

There's been numerous Book Of Ra rip-offs although this one is more obvious than most - even down to the logo! It's always surprised me that companies that write original games can't protect them - it's not just Book Of Ra that gets plagiarised: think Queen Of The Nile & Cleopatra is the earliest one I can think of. I think if there was any legal comeback likely Novomatic would have exercised it on someone else by now. Or maybe they licence the engine out?

The RTP is set to 96.21% and volatility is "Very High, 10/10".

Data straight from the Play'n Go ftp server.

They are confident there will be no copyright issues with regards to Book of Ra.

Oh yeah, and it's a 10 line slot.

LOL so their previous clones of Book of Ra and Dolphin's Pearl weren't similar enough, they had to make a carbon copy all the way down to the logo?

I understand why they do it (but it doesn't make it right), Novomatic's games are insanely popular but the company has taken a very passive approach when it comes to online. This lets PnG bank on those customers wanting to play Book of Ra, as they're rolled out in hundreds more casinos than Novomatic.

I hope that Novomatic will somehow force them to take it down. I mean really, there are endless themes and ideas. Second, you can make a reproduction of a successful slot, but this is just ridiculous: name, theme, logo, layout - it's exactly the same. And don't get me wrong - I like Play'n Go slots.

Nice graphics!!! It really is a clone of Book of RA, same features etc. but looks really nice. Especially the graphic effects when 2 scatters are there are beautiful...... Can't wait to play this one!!

You know a place that already has it?

I was looking for it yesterday but did not find it live anywhere.

However I was just told that Book of Dead only will be released on mobile. Not sure if/when it will go live on desktop.

I am sure different mobile casinos have it live by now. I only checked desktop yesterday.

Has anyone seen this slot at a casino?? I couldn't find it anywhere

Played it at VS last night.

Was playing a tenner at 10p stakes. Got down to 40p before hitting a feature.

Had three altogether each winning 100/150x stake.

Quite liked the feature. Seems a reasonable low stakes game.
