Hi, I am pretty new to online gaming, I have been a member of Betway for about 6 months now, and have made a good few deposits, always playing on the casino games via my iphone... Obviously I have previously received my welcome bonuses and played them through (unsuccessfully.) Here we go, on Wed I made a deposit of £30 to my account, I loaded up Thunderstruck2 and once the page loaded I suddenly had £52.50 in my account, Clearly I had been given a bonus of 75% which i did not want, did not ask for and did not get the choice if i wanted to accept or not. So now I realised i was tied in to meeting near enough impossible wagering requirements before I could make a withdrawal, and thats supposing I hit a win. Well I hit the bonus early on in my game play and by pure luck it was around £900 by the end of the free spins, (i was max betting at £3) I decided to play a few more different games and continued being fairly lucky, getting up to around £1400.. I wasn't sure how to meet my wagering requirements so i just went on various games trying to lose enough before i had met the WR. I also went on roulette and laid down a bet totalling £380 which unbelievably came in, returning £1800, I still had not met the WR and realised that roulette was making the bonus funds go down slower than when i was playing the slots. So i reverted to the slot games, max betting at no more than £6 and eventually met my WR and was able to withdraw over £2800... Now I have been reading up on Betways reviews and have since found out the 30% max bonus bet rule... Great, so my question is, am I stuffed? I realise that my roulette bet possibly violates the 30% rule, but what about all the money I won before hand on the slots? Will they just confiscate everything? My withdrawal is still in the 48hr pending box, the 48hrs is up at around 1900 today uk time. I just dont understand how they can lay on these unwanted bonuses, without warning or explanation, and the 30% rule is utterly ridiculous.. What if i had deposited £1000 and they had given me a bonus, the WR I would have to meet would be insane... Pretty much impossible, people may as well just throw their money away! I feel it is completely unfair to the player, and putting someone in a position where they are forced to pretty much lose all the money the deposited is certainly not inline with responsible gambling.... Long post, so apologies, but where do you think i stand? Thanks in advance.

The first thing you probably should have done would be to contact them and ask them to remove the bonus which you did not want or ask for.

Now that you are here it is almost certain your winnings will be voided due to your 380 pound bet on roulette. You would best be advised to contact their CS right away and if you don't have any bad history with them there is always a chance that they will reset your balance to your original deposit + bonus and let you try again.

    Best of luck to you!

I thought as much, I'm just going to let the 48hr pending period elapse and see if they email me, I have read a case of almost an identical issue and the player was paid all his winnings, possibly an oversight on the audit, I don't know. I shall at least pursue my original deposit, I no longer have any interest in the bonuses. I shall post again when I have either won £2800 or had it confiscated, so at least other players know what the score is. Thanks for replying.

    Another quick question

How would this work.... If I were to reverse all funds to my account and play through the total amount in my account, betting at 30%, inevitably I would win something.... If at the end of my play, i had for example gambled my £2800 using 30% bet, but I had won for example £1500 via the 30% bets, would i be allowed to withdraw this or would it still be voided??!

Lol, I'm sure it would it still be voided.

In these instances it is always best to contact them as soon as you realize there is any kind of problem. I would think any kind of business is more likely to 'work' with someone who shows good faith as opposed to trying to bury the problem. Play square with them and give them a chance.

That 2nd idea was good thinking and you nether no, Without a shadow of a doubt it will be voided if you do not and still probably will if you reversed,

If I was you I would reverse and build up aload of high bonuses and better features,

It looks like you have lost the money but they might give you your 30 back if lucky, Why on earth did you start betting high and on wheels when you built up a nice profit?

Please let us no the outcome, All the best,

I started betting high because at that point in time i was under the impression that by placing large bets, I would meet the WR quicker... I didnt even intend in winning, i literally threw the chips any where on the table.. Its only since the occasion that I properly looked into the percentages that different games take off the bonus funds, obviously I now know that roulette was undoubtedly the worse choice I could have made.

I really am not fond of the fact that casinos view any breach as a reason to void any and all funds. If the OP really was winning prior to his too large of a bet then it really isnt logical that he should lose all funds now is it?
The more I read here from other's experiences and ideas, the more I am convinced that taking bonuses at a casino is just a losing proposition. The facts are that you get WR that are nearly impossible to get without a bigwin so the odds are stacked against you from the start. Then you take in all of the laborious and restrictive rules that they set as a minefield for the player and WHY then would anyone take a bonus? So much more free and less problems without them. My exceptions to this thought are casinos that I have a long and trusted relationship with. Which are few in number to be honest.

Well my current update is my withdrawal is still pending, because i made the withdrawal at 19:30 on Wed, my 48 hr period wont be up until sun/mon.... Yet another ridiculous side to betway, you can only hit a 48hr pending period if you withdraw between 20:00 Sun to 16:00 Wed... Apparantly this is so customers can access thier funds over the weekend.... Basically just increasing their chances of you reversing and giving the money back...I appreciate the comment on informing CS of the issue, but doing this will totally guarantee them scrutinizing my game play, and I would rather have a slim chance of getting £2800 than a likely chance of getting my original £30 deposit back. The Whole 30% max bonus bet is ludicrous, if thats the case, their should be software in place to limit the bet, at the end of the day I was risking the loss of £380 in one bet, and i still had to lose £675 before i met the WR.... We shall see what happens, but I wont be going quietly, the fact that they have terms and conditions dosent make them fair or acceptable.

Case in point. Before I realized that so many of these casinos are just absolute thieves no matter how it is attempted to be painted, I played at a dirtball casino named Klaver. I would recommend to NEVER play at this thieves nest.
They have some whacky term about max bet. I think it was 7.5£.... Regardless I was spinning away manually like I always do . Back then I used bonuses (again before I found out the slimey industry that this is). And the MAX BET button is actually connected to the spiin button. Sure enough on ONE SPIN and ONE SPIN ONLY I got too close to the edge and my click registered on the max bet spin instead of the spin button. I lost money on that spin too. Well, when I was all done playing I had a good run and cashed out. These cheating/thieving scums then confiscated all of my funds because of the maxbet term. One that was a physical accident, that I lost money on and had no bearing on winning money. They simpley look for any way to steal money from players. I pitched a bitch and Max said that they are chooosing to just steal the money and I guess they are allowed to even though it was clearly an accident and it was in their favor as I lost money on the 1 spin.

That is predatory enforcement. Its like accidentally dropping a paper out of your pocket and getting taken to jail for littering and having your bank accounts drained to pay for the cleanup. These places need to be held to a highher standard and we as a community have got to stop allowing these scum to steal our money on asinine terms and predatory enforcement.

    EDIT/UPDATE:
Oh wait! This is grand. Another update from the scumbag Klaver casino. They will not even return my deposit! Nope, they claim I should lose that too. So they are keeping everything. It is outrageous. What do you have to do exactly to get rogued? I will lead the charge to rogue Klaver. They just stole from an honest player.

You broke the terms. If you were aware you'd just hit an excess-stake spin you should have stopped and contacted live chat immediately. They would then look at the case on its merits and either overlook it, or add more to the WR or let you start again. You carried on and then gave them the opportunity to FU.
On the deposit side I think you should get that back, as once you had made the excess bet then afterwards your play was effectively void. I'm sure Max didn't use the term 'steal' your money. If so he would have rogued them.

I despise the Betway group for reasons I have put in other posts in the past and ain't gonna bore you with the details.

However for future deposits, from the 7 or 8 casinos I play they are the only casino that 'automatically' opt you into the bonuses.

They tend to email twice a week informing you of the %age bonus and its 'cap' and that it will be automatically credited on next deposit etc.

My advice if you want to play cash only and free of wagering is to jump straight onto support before you even open a game and ask that the bonus amount is removed before play.

This type of low level thinking is EXACTLY why they think that they can get away with it. They WON money from me on the error. I didnt benefit in any way. however players like you think its a grand idea for them to just steal money anyways. I get that If I hit max bet which would have been for 10 instead of 7.5 then if I would have hit a big win then I get it.. but I LOST money on the accidental click. They are just using any means necessary to not pay winnings.
FURTHER, they should be required to have max bets in the software if they want that rule. If they want to give a bonus and they also then want a max cashrule then THEY should be required to make it impossible to break.

They (an apparently you) put the onus on us honest players. We are just playing. If you offer terms then make it so that its not a loophole. If the casino offers a bonus and doesnt wnat a player betting more than say £5 per spin then they should implement it in the software. Not use it as an excuse to not pay winnings. If you dont think that is predatory enforcement then I just hope and wish that something like this happens to you very soon... and they steal it all... then someone comes on and backs them up and says shame on you. that will be great.

Unfortunately as much as I disagree with alot rules they are there, Reason said is to keep bad players away but sure there's darker reasons why they are there and we no why,

There is some sites that if you bet over than they add extra play threw which is a hell of a lot better than losing it, Also it seems that the good casinos are listening as Video-slots just introduced where you can chose your own max bet, Yes it still does not you stop breaking a max bet rule but its a steep in the right direction,
