Bizarre Behaviors, Silly Superstitions, and other Assorted Asininities

What are some of the strange habits you find yourself doing while gambling online? Things that in reality don't affect the outcome of your game, but you do them anyway?

For example, I always have the QuickSpin feature turned on while playing MG slots, until I get some free spins. Before I start the free spins, I turn off QuickSpin so that each one plays out slower and makes the feature last longer overall. It doesnt change the results one bit, but it makes me more enthusiastic about the free spins (until theyre over, of course)!

You must be guilty of doing similar types of things, so what are they? Its time to let the whole world know!

Gambling superstition

I don't do anything special while on the internet, but from time to time I go to Bingo at a recreation center where I live, and I have a couple of good luck trinkets that I set up along with my cards. They don't work, but they look cute and almost everyone else does this. Well, maybe they DO work, because this Bingo only costs me $8 for an evening of play, so it saves my money by keeping me off the internet games.

My friend I were just talking about this, we were at a casino last week and laughing at the people that rub the screens,lol Its all computerized so that little screen rubbing thing never made sense to me, but I hope they wash thier hands so they dont catch a cold,lol

I don't do anything strange, sorry.

But whilst at Crown Casino (land based) a few weeks ago I was playing a slot and this guy & his partner (both around late 40's) sat on the machine next to me.

She inserts her casino card into the loyalty slot and feeds in a $100 note. Next thing I see her carressing the damn slot glass, while after ever 2'nd to 3'rd spin her guy (who looks pretty normal) start softly punching the screen too.

My partner & I could hardly keep straight faces. Each time I got a win they'd up the ante and do it more often. I got a pretty good win finally and I think they got shitty cos they cashed out and walked away in huff

Oh God! The rubbing the screen thing!!! Ha! I have seen so many people do that. My exboyfriend (gambling buddy) loves to mess with those people. He'll say " Wow that really works huh?" And then he starts to rub his machine and tells them "Wow I cant believe I never thought of that". I of course am much more normal I like to sweet talk the wild and scatter symbols, escpecially if they are male.Pretty sick huh?

Well, everytime I hit the free spins on Thunderstruck.....I pause, say a prayer to Buddha, rub my head at the same time as rubbing my belly (in a counter-clockwise direction), all the while screaming to wake the neighbours....come to Momma big Daddy!!! Does this qualify as bizarre?

Seriously, besides lighting another cigarette and rubbing the shit out of my lucky stone...no strange behaviour here.

LOL - me too I also find if I go somewhere else leaving it on 50 spins autoplay, I often come back to a bonus round or a big win. I think it knows I'm not looking! That's why it's annoying ISIS and one or two other slots doesn't stop when the scatters drop in and allow you to start the bonus round manually.

When doubling in VP, if the dealt card is 10 or higher, I pick the far right card. If it's a 9 or lower, I pick the far left card. If I do this twice in a row, I pick a middle card.

That's the meister's secret system to doubling.

I also talk to my screen alot, especially during a free spin mode.

And I never fail to flip off a casino as say "eff you" if I leave broke - as if it could see me

Before I play, I always go to the bathroom to make sure my toilet seat is down. No idea why I do this...

If I am on a good roll, I close my living room door as I don't want any of the good luck vibes trying to escape. VV if I'm on a bad roll.

I clean my screen to a mint condition before a 'big session'.

I always light up a ciggie when the free spins are triggered.

I pour a glass of wine, when i make the money in a multiple table tourney playing poker.

A bit way off but superstition in gambling nonetheless. 3 years ago, while playing baccarat at a cruise ship's casino, an Indian(no racial offence intended) seized the cards he bet on and instead of peeking them like others do, he bowed,prayed and even worshipped them. He could have been thinking his gods would help him. Well, they didnt.

I used to (now not any more) befor every session to light candles (green or gold), put a couple of money-bills under them and chant to spirits of former gambler: 'Come guys, now its your chance to play one more time! Have fun! Come and play with me, let us to clean up the casino) or something like that. Then I took small change without counting, thru it behind my left shoulder and said 'make your bets, sirs!'
It worked many times (if you remember my bizarre betting mistakenly big and win big). But one day, a neighbors' kind (very obnoxius creature) came to visit and found coins on the floor. I said 'take it - it will bring you luck'. After that, the ritual didn't work - I guess the spirits were offended that I gave 'their' money away.

Nothing major here, but I do seem to talk to my laptop constantly while going through the "ups & downs".
