Made my first deposit there as lsuatf. Depoisted .05 bitcoins and never accepted, any kind of bonus, played for a long time and won 3 bitcoins and now they ask for passports and all types of proof of identity. I thought the purpose of bitcoins and paying the extra amount for them is not to go through this process. Chris in support shut my account down and they stole my winnings. Its a shame bitcoins are not safe when the casino has no risk of a charge back in the future. Who certifies this casino so I can report this?

Its kind of strange they asked for this. As far as I know from friends who play there, these bitcoin casinos were made for the exact purpose of not having to verify ID etc.

Bitstarz has a rep here: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/

I'm not a player there, but I would expect most casinos require ID to avoid multiple accounts, and it is more than likely in their terms.

If you provide the ID requested and they still don't pay you, then you can look at filing a Player Arbitration.

Ok thank you I never accepted any bonus or any freespins I just deposited and played. They wanted a passport and utility bill and it was my first time playing there I had no multiple accounts.I asked them if I could take selfie with me license and that is when they shut my account down. I dont have a passport

So what you are saying is that Bitcoin casinos are above the law? Taking endless deposits and similar payouts without having to know who the account holder is? Are you for real? And on top you have the audacity to call them "rogue" because they ask for simple KYC documents? :what:

That would be a huge money laundering scheme, no need for ID's, names ...one can register as Mickey Mouse deposit thousands in BTC, withdraw again and voila the money is clean!

No matter what your deposit method is, you need to identify yourself, has been like that for donkeys! Bitstarz has been around for quite some time and I never heard anything major negative about them.

No he didn't. He actually called them Rouge. A nice looking colour :D
:D , awesome

Actually, usually BTC casino indeed not asking documents, because, because.... You can register and play without entering personal data.

If management of bitstarz requested docs from u - they have solid reasons for it, nothing else.

AFAIK - Bitstarz is really good casino with decent people involved. If you a good guy - simply be polite and speak with them. If you somehow tried to cheat them and now trying to push them by CM - it is bad for u.

Thread title changed to better reflect the actual content of the OP's post. Thanks for the heads-up guys.

FTR: replaced "is a Rouge casino not paying 3 btc of winnings".

I offered to send them a selfie holding my id with my username.. My point is btc transactions are final they don't have to worry about any reversals later on.. That is the whole beauty of bitcoin for casino they don't have to worry about someone reversing 4 grand after they lose.I expect them to at least pay someone when they win being that i paid a tax on the bitcoin in the first place

Funny how bitstarz is in the grey zone

They stole 4 btc from me too . If u win they rob you I can't believe it says on the reviews on this site that " it seems to be ok" does anyone else see something wrong with that

Ive played, deposited and withdrew at alot of bitcoin only casinos.. At every single one of these casinos, as long as i deposited and withdrew only with bitcoin, i have never been asked for ID.

The point of bitcoin is anonymous, so if you do not take a bonus there is no need for askign for id

I recently spoke to james at bitstarz after reading posts here because in there terms of use it clearly says that players from usa are not allowed to play and gamble even with bitcoin. He told me that i could just leave the country part blank then i asked him if i won and had to submit documents it would show im from the usa so would that be a reason for them to take my winnings. Then he just we normaly dont ask for docs. So if you are from the usa i would be careful about playing there if you win big and they ask for docs they will say you breached there terms of use
