Hello everyone :) I had 60 dollars in bitcoin stolen from me at Bitstarz due to the fact I apparently deposited to the incorrect wallet. I deposited to BCH instead of bitcoin from my CB account. They will not credit my account and said the money is lost.

I will never play here again and have requested they close my account. Just a heads up to everyone else to be very careful when you deposit.

They also do not outline which games are available to be played based upon which type of coin you deposit and lock various games if you take a deposit bonus, without informing you this will be done. There are tons of hidden shady things going on with this company. Nothing but negative reviews online. I wish I was never told about this site.

They also wouldn’t let me fill in USA on my account information section and I am just now finding out they don’t allow US players despite the fact they have allowed me to deposit numerous times while knowing I am located in the US.

Be careful!! Good luck to everyone else. I am not taking and further chances and believe this Casino should be ROGUED.

It’s possible. The fact it could logically happen is enough of a reason for me to avoid them. I just read their terms and conditions and it clearly stated US players are not allowed to play on their site. Lol

There you go.. let me deposit and play until I win and then they would probably not pay me because I violated their terms.

It’s all good. Lesson learned. Told them to stop contacting me.

Every time i see an american using a vpn on twitch to play here, I cringe. They tell the americans its ok to play here doing that but if they win too much they retract.

You would think they would post on their website that using a vpn is not allowed. They know people do it.

Hi Pokerdan,

Thanks for all the feedback here.

Well, first of all, we haven't stolen anything from you. You basically sent your money to the wrong address. It would essentially be the equivalent
of you wanting to send money to your friend, and you put in the wrong bank details and it's being sent somewhere else. Not sure about everyone
here, but in that case I wouldn't blame the friend for the money not showing up. It would be your own mistake for sending the funds the wrong way,
even though I sympathize with you as I'm myself sometimes terrified of the same scenario. But I believe that's a broader crypto discussion.

However, this doesn't mean that we sit and gloat with your 60 dollars in hand. We do not have that money either.

Regarding the US question, correct, we do not accept US players, and I would have hoped that not letting you fill in that country and also
having it stated in the terms would be enough. Regarding restricting you as a player, we have plenty of players from for example Russia
who rely on free VPNs in order to access the casino, which of many have US IP due to most of the servers are based there. Therefore, it's hard for us to have an IP block. Once more
I would have hoped that the country selection restriction and terms would be enough here.

With this being said, you sending money to the wrong fact or you registering an account despite US being removed from country selection in your
profile and banned by the terms, I wouldn't think that the said scenario would define us as rogue casino. Words like that and the word "scam" seems
to be thrown around way too easily these days. I'll keep that as my personal opinion though.

Regards,

Olle, BitStarz

Cheeky gits. One might assume that had you won from any of those deposits you wouldnt of got given a bit of a coin due to the usa restriction?

Hi Adam,

If the player won, and we found out he was indeed from the US, we'd of course cash him out in full before closing his account.

Kind Regards,

Olle

Fair one. I stand corrected, apolagies for making an assumption based on little knowledge of this casino. Teach me for doing so and looking like a plum due to not even realizing there is a rep here.

Hi mate,

We always try to be active online and reply to criticism. I think there's two sides to every story, and if I was observing an argument, I'd like
to get as much facts as possible before making up my mind. Then we might disagree at the end of the day, but at least we can make as educated
calls as possible :)

I think you raised an important point however, so thank you for doing so. Once more, the answer is, yes, of course we'd pay the player out.

Lol I won’t post anything else. You don’t want me to go any deeper into this. Just walk away :) keep my account closed and please stop emailing me.

Its a fair assumption. They put it in their tos and dont have the country drop down but they do allow americans to play here even though the rep is in here claiming they dont. I would assume thats for their own protection for any future claims. But I have been told by chat before they allow it and when I enquired from a friend on twitch, they showed me screenshots of emails between him and the manager saying they allow americans and request they use a vpn. I asked because I wanted to play netent but I ended up deciding it would be best not to go ahead.

I wouldnt have even brought this up and I would have rathered the rep not respond to the claim instead of being misleading but it is what it is.

Why did they (i mean they all Goverments etc no madder which country)
Why are they doing not the same Restrictions to Poker Player like they do with Slot Players Gamblers ??

I have a lot of screenshots and other info as well from friends and wasn’t going to respond any further. I don’t need to try and completely ruin their reputation. The thing that’s also very strange is the fact I can send bitcoin to a BCH account “such as my friends” and somehow that magically goes through without issue. It has never been lost lol

I have tried this many times and had no issues. The money was mined and went to the BCH number I entered. It went somewhere and wasn’t technically lost. So whatever... I am over it. They could have easily credited me the money. Any other online merchant would have helped resolve the issue.

But you are 100% correct in the USA issues you have posted above. Would have been better for the rep to simply not respond. They never asked me to enter any details when I signed up! I have a lot of other info as well but don’t need to get further involved. Just wanted to warn other players and if I helped warn at least one player then I am happy :)

I have done my homework lol

@pokerdan, hadn't you been posting screenshots of this casino a long time ago when you joined? I can vaguely remember a possible discussion where other US players were going to sign up or had signed up.

I've deposited thousands of USD->BTC and had few withdraws there, since bitcoin went through the roof I haven't played there but a few times. I am from the USA, never once had my cashouts or deposits questioned. Posted plenty in the Winners Screenshots from there too.

I understand protecting yourself and what not to keep softswiss and other game providers happy, but that response was one for the books. You seem to have a very one sided view on Russians utilizing your site vs us USA folks, and Russians using a VPN to access your site (Utilizing USA severs), is not an excuse for not doing an IP ban if you really don't want USA customers. Maybe I am overreacting, but that comment rubbed me the wrong way.

As for the original issue , I think at some point everyone makes the mistake of sending crypto to the wrong address, $60 is not cump change, but its also not too much you can't recover. BCH and BTC are two different coins, most wallets will warn against sending one to the others addresses, the onus is on you to ensure you are sending the funds to the correct address. You can view this experience the same way your would if you accidentally placed a max bet on a game and lost all your funds in one shot, again the casino would not be at fault.
