Resolved Bitstarz and wazdan slot shoddy behaviour

I haven’t had time to post and frankly got no where when I complained to bitstarz about this months ago. I find myself with some time on my hands and decided to post this here.

Last fall I played the wazdan slot called hot slot magic bombs. It is a slot where you collect free spins. I played over $700 at $4 a spin. I collected 58 free spins and a mystery prize that is sticky until you hit free spins. When I ran out of money the slot automatically changed my bet amount to what I can afford which was 40 cents. I played it but all my free spins and mystery prize disappeared at that bet level.

So I deposited more money and went back and changed to the $4 bet level. However, there were no free spins, no mystery prize. All gone.

I complained to bitstarz and was told that wazdan indeed verified I had accumulated 58 free spins and a mystery prize but because the bet level changed the free spins disappeared as per the game rules. Indeed, it is in the slot game rules that if you change the bet level you start at zero free spins again. A bit shoddy.

However wazdan games are known to change your bet level automatically when you run out of money at the bet level you’re spinning at. And this is what happened.

I don’t think this is fair.

I just played the slot at 40 cents and when I ran out of money it went to the next level down automatically which was 10cents.

What can I do? I’d really like to get my free spins or my money back. Should I complain here with Casinomeister.

I have no doubt that @BitStarz will respond so I'd say waiting for that is the first step.

If that doesn't happen, or for some reason doesn't work out to your satisfaction, then doing a PAB is certainly an option. Frankly I'm not sure how well that will go given the nature of your issue but it's there if you need it.

On a personal level I have to agree that it seems rather unfair that progress is lost like that when you're changing you bet level. I wouldn't be very happy if that happened to me either. So I'm with you on that one.

With that said (and if I understand you correctly), there's no malfunction in the game itself and it just acted according to the mechanics and rules of the slot? I've only had 2 cups of coffee today so I might have misinterpreted something, but that's the way I understood it. That probably means Wazdan won't be very happy to give any sort of comp as they'll just point out the fact that the game behaved as it should.

With that said, we as a casino have responsibility for the games we provide, and I don't want to be someone who just says "this is an issue with Wazdan and not us, so talk to them". Let me have a word with our account manager over there and see what they have to say. Because I agree with you, it's pretty weird and makes very little sense.

I do have a feeling this might be put in the feedback category as opposed to a complaint that warrants compensation, if the game has behaved as it should. We both can have the same opinion on the stupidity of the mechanics in this case, but it's hard to give any money back for it if there's no error.

But I'll talk to them and I'll see what I can do, also, if you can PM me your BitStarz username maybe there's some comp I can throw your way in the meantime.

@maxd if you have time, perhaps you could shine your light on this too. I might be wrong in my reasoning due to the lack of caffeine in my blood stream.

When speaking to your people in chat they said I changed the bet level. Wazdan said I changed the bet level therefore I lost my free spins. However, I have a video example of the same slot and when I ran out of money the game changed my bet level.

How is this acceptable?

Why would the slot automatically change the bet level for you if the rules state that if you change the bet level you will lose your accumulated free spins.

58 accumulated free spins at $4 is a lot to lose.


And I can’t seem to attach the video here but anyone who has played wazdan slots will tell you this happens.

I agree with you 100% -- losing accumulated free spins because of an automatic downshift in betting level is not kosher -- and I think you've handled this marvellously.

Yeah, I'd love to but apparently that's a no-no these days because of google metrics or whatever.

I like Wazdan slots but that is an atrocious piece of game functionality. I can't believe the game went out like that. It also wouldn't achieve the stated RTP%.
