I was playing a slot on demo mode when this error message came up. Why is the word “fake” in message?

{"statusCode":404,"message":"Cannot GET /launch_fake?gameName=book_del_sol&partner=bitcoincom-prod-fake&lang=en&platform=mob&exit_url=https%3A%2F%2Fgames.bitcoin.com&key=TEST5000","error":"Not Found"}

What casino site was that on?

Might want to check with @BitcoinGamesCasino . Although they haven't been around for a while a PM might get their attention.

And I'll ping them on this just for good measure.

Dear fellow forum members,

Firstly, thank you for raising this error with this thread. This was a technical issue that was solved as soon as it was identified.

My best guess is that fake is in there because demo mode uses "fake" funds.

This is correct, the code string refers to the demo mode funds or FUN credits; it's just a code term for no real money games.

Should anyone encounter any further issues on the website, please feel free to contact us on games@bitcoin.com or send us a message here and we'll be happy to assist.

Cheers!
