I happen to love playing at Mania; however, I am concerned about the ownership. There is an excellent point in that ownership doesn't necessarily have anything to do with operators, but the main thing that came to mind to me immediately is this:

This company owns the FOUR biggest ripoff sites and their networks and has obviously made alot of money from them over time. What I don't understand is that since Mania stands alone and is one of the most popular well reputationed sites on the net and has an entirely separate set of rules that can't even compare to the other deceptive cheating rules by the other four listed by BWL, isn't it probable that a successful ownership would have some type of say so in making all of the sites they own conform to the same sets of rules in order to stay successful?

Logic dictates that in order to be successful and to risk the money they are putting up to own the various sites and networks to begin with, a business owner will have a say so in how the 'companies' are run in order to stay profitable. Can they possibly let four run rampant over their customers and yet allow one to be the 'odd man' out and run an honest fair site and not see that the honest and fair site is the ONLY one making a huge profit by doing so?

I just am having a hard time wrapping my head around an invester/owner not overseeing anything that is going on with their own companies and allowing one of those companies becoming a 'rogue' by being fair to the players and making huge profits to boot and not reigning in the other four.....nor can I wrap my head around the possibility that the other four ripoff companies are the true cashcows for the company and that Mania gives the company a legitimate appearance BECAUSE of the fairness and that's why Mania is allowed to be the 'rogue'.

What are your thoughts on this? I don't know of any company I've ever worked for that had diversified and owned many smaller companies that didn't have some type of control over ALL of them, so I'm boggled by this.

I have been in touch

with Helix Gaming (the company that used to be listed as owning BingoMania). Mania has an 800 number on their site that I called and a rep from Helix picked up. I asked her if they had had a company name change...she said no. I asked about the 'new ownership' issue, and she said she wasn't aware of this and suggested that I either contact Mania directly or call back tomorrow when someone named Mark would be there to answer any questions I have. I plan to call.

I then wrote to Mania and asked them about this quoted below....

I've been a member at Mania for a number of years. I've noticed something on your homepage that has me disturbed and hope you can give me an explanation.

You've always been owned by Helix International and your USA phone number is answered by that company, but your homepage says you are owned by Bingo Worldwide Limited. I called Helix and they don't know anything about a name change that may have taken place and I am curious about who actually owns you now. I can't find any information on the internet about Bingo Worldwide Ltd and trust that you will be able to help me understand what has occurred with this change in ownership.

If you are in fact owned by another company now, could you supply me with information about their location and possibly a phone number or address since the internet doesn't seem to know anything about this company? I attempt to be as informed as possible about gambling on the internet to make sure I am with an organization that I trust, and I have always trusted your site. It's the only one I still play at and hope to continue that relationship.

As soon as I have more information, either a reply to my email, the communication with Mark, or both, I will post that.
