well, my girlfriend just went through this now its happening with me. both of my banks will not accept neteller transactions anymore. washington mutual and wachovia. neteller is making the attempt, getting rejected even though the funds are there. then charging me 30nsf fee then reattempting while hiding their identity. the 2nd transaction always goes through but im being charged the 30bucks! just got off the phone with my bank and he confirmed this as did a manager at my other bank. why not hide the i.d. the first time? now i have about a dozen transactions that i will have to pay for at 30 a clip. i'll try to get neteller to drop the fees. if not ,guess who gets stuck holding the bag? not me.lol

Thanks for reporting this. I strongly suspect that my bank recently decided to close my account (they wouldn't say why) because they weren't happy with my frequent level of transfers to and from Neteller. Now I'm scrambling to find a new account, and from now on I'll be keeping a large balance in Neteller so I can keep transfers in to a minimum.

Sorry, just wanted to be clear on this - I gather it's Neteller who are charging you $30 per refused transaction, rather than the bank?

I'd tell Neteller to go fck themselves (in a nice way of course ;)) and take my business elsewhere....and try and get their "NSF" fees from someone that has "sucker" tattooed on their forehead.

I go thru a simular situation every time I wire funds to Neteller from my bank.

Although Neteller supplies a IBAN code (which should stop the double dipping) it doesn't and instead of the wire costing me $30AUD it ends up being $60AUD by the time it hits Neteller.

Neteller was re-emburses me the $23.50US for each wire. Though for 3 of these I got zip. I complained and I've just got the last one paid back. Sent another today so hopefully I'll get the $23.50US back for that too.

Though the frustrating part is having to chase this money every time I do a wire, can be very time consuming.

My opinion is it really depends on the cash flow going thru your Neteller account as to whether Neteller will reverse fees & charges.

As for me I need a Neteller account otherwise I'd be looking elsewhere.

Why will the banks not accept neteller transactions anymore? This sounds like the beginning of the end to me.

Read the post more carefully...it goes through on the 2nd attempt.

I think it's more of a technical glitch than anything...

no. it goes through on the 2nd attempt because they change their identity. thats what my bank manager told me. thats what pisses me off. why not just change i.d. the 1st time and not have to charge 30 bucks? seems like an easy way for them to justify collecting $30 a shot.

But why are they having to change their identity?

Now I'm confused......the first time won't go through with a different ID, but the 2nd time goes through as the Neteller ID......but your bank doesn't allow Neteller anymore?

Wouldn't it be the other way around? It goes through with a different ID, but won't go through with the Neteller ID?

lol. wont go through as neteller. then neteller charges 30 dollars nsf fee. then neteller redeposits under a different i.d. and it goes through. my whole problem is why dont they just use a different i.d. the first time? it seems they know whats happening. it has happened on dozens of transactions now between me and my girlfriends account. it seems an easy way for them to collect an extra 30 per transaction.

Honestly, I don't see how or why you feel it's NeTeller screwing up..?

It's your bank, they refuse to allow NeTeller transactions now.

Is NeTeller suppose to assume your bank won't accept them any longer and send transaction under a new ID? They have no idea if your bank has changed their policy on accepting transactions from one place or another.

It should be your bank to send notices when they change their policies.

And if NeTeller changes their ID permanently, the bank would eventually realize this and block that new ID, so that would be NeTellers fault also??

Contact your bank for the 'over draft' charges, they made a chance and failed to inform their customers!!

neteller knows that more and more banks are not accepting thats why they use multiple i.d.'s to sneak the transactions through.

NeTeller tries a transaction using their regular ID, it fails, so they'll try an ID that's setup as a 'backup' ID, it works. Isn't that better than them trying to process mutiple transaction to your bank until they get their money back that you already used, and get hit with an o/d each time?

It is still your banks responsibility to inform their customers of any policy changes.... but it appears you know this will happen .......

because they dont post right away. a good week went by then we started seeing the nsf fees showing up and getting the emails from neteller. this all happened within a week or so. then i contacted my bank, then neteller. dont get me wrong i have no problem paying neteller the money they're owed just not 300 somethin dollars in nsf fees when they wind up collecting anyway.

Man... I strongly recommend you that for the good of the online gambling industry avoid mentioning stuff about second transactions and all of those wonderful things that life has given us to the gambling community...

My advise for all you guys who like Neteller, slot machines, poker... a some good NFL action on sundays...

Make your research, or keep it under private messages...

what the hell is that supposed to mean? this is the other complaints forum. since neteller is a huge part of online gambling. im giving my experience. maybe now some people, including myself, will check with their bank first and not get stuck with extra fees. my banks told me outright that they are not going to accept transactions from any company that supports online gambling. heads up to alot of people. how is this thread irrelevant?

Wait just a minute WATCH DOG. If you don't particularly like the content of a post then don't read it or otherwise partake of it. Neteller issues are amongst the most important issues in this industry, inasmuch as Neteller transfers far and away more money than any other money transfer service in this industry. I'm very much interested in this thread as are other posters as well.

Have a good one.

How long do you think the second transactions are going to last now?

How are you going to transfer money when they stop?

Anyone want to start a pool for when the 2nd transactions will stop?

Thats the point The Watchdog was trying to get accross.

Do you guys think your the only people that read this forum?

True, but banks aren't stupid. It won't take long before they have a list of all of neteller's "fake" ID's and block those too.

Think about it....1:30pm, a transaction from Neteller for $3000 comes in. 2:30pm, a transaction from ABC, Corp. comes in for $3000. Coincidence? I doubt they'll think that way. This thread will have no bearing on it whatsoever.

If you ask me, Neteller is just making it worse for themselves by circumventing the blocks put on by banks. They're just asking for trouble.

When you process hundreds/thousands of transactions a minute it sure would be.

They're just asking for trouble.
Kind of like any American that gambles online... ;)
