Blimey. They’re one of the good guys as well. @Mark_BGO - hopefully this relates to historic stuff?
He’s probably on the phone to 32Red asking if his old job is still available 😅😳

Just kidding 😝 Most likely to be historic stuff as usually when you hear of stuff like this it pertains to happenings 2-3 years prior.

Pretty perplexing, as I had them down as a pretty solid outfit. I assume it was rather spicy violations of some regulations that led to an outright suspension, as opposed to a fine?

Mind you, it'll hit them in the pocket regardless and may be a death-knell of sorts, even if it is merely a suspension and not 'revoked'?

I really want to 'lol' at the above post, however Mark is a proper good friend of yesteryear and I really hope he ain't going through a load of shit which isn't his doing/fault etc.

Hopefully this is just a "fix this, fix that and you're good to go" type suspension.
Yeah Mark is a class act. It was firmly tongue in cheek.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. Can’t comment publically on the situation yet but personally obviously upset with the outcome.

Love the personal support. Thanks for that.
Sorry to hear that Mark…hope you didn’t take offence to my post further up…my attempt at dark humour!

All the best.

More heavy-handed 'regulation', as the hollowing out of the UK market continues apace.
To be fair, I wouldn’t describe it as heavy-handed; suspending a licence is very rare. We don’t know what the issue is, but they have questioned whether BFO are fit to have a licence. And they don’t do that very often at all.

They can still fine you but they could stick fingers up and say we arn’t paying (and probably will as they forfeited the licence). Then a case of UKGC going through international courts - doubtful.
I just opened that Titanbet attachment - lol. How stupid are the UKGC with these fines - hmmm keeping a licence or paying out £3million+ of profit and the possibility of other fines in the future. Not a hard one is it. Is anyone going to be left in the future apart from the big boys like skybet? Almost as it this was the plan all along….

I wonder if their affiliates will be paid? To be fair, there have been a few instances of this before and the programme usually gets in touch telling you it will clear the balances of the amounts owing for each casino. I don't know whether that's goodwill or simply to protect the reputation of the various personnel in the aff programme who you'd likely encounter later on at other programmes when they move. We'll see.

Hey Dunover,

We have full intention to pay affiliates. BGO's owners started their gambling careers as affiliates in 2001 (it may be earlier) and respect the hard work required to drive traffic. September's affiliate payment was paid last week and October's revenue generated before the suspension (and after for non-UK) will be honoured.

I'm gutted about this, only been with BGO a few months but was enjoying it, I assumed they were going to sort it out and it'd be back in a couple months but sadly not...as a player I would like to know what the problem was from the UKGC-will they likely be expanding on the reasons?

I thought BGO were pretty hot on responsible gambling and doing checks, so it can't be to do with that can it?
