Betzest: faceplant of the year 2020 award winner. Meanwhile on the Betzest testimonials page...

At first glance – looking at the design, software providers andbfeatures, Betzest seems to be a promising new brand. If we add well-known and trusted people who stand behind it – who have a solid track record of being highly professional and skilled – there’s no doubt that we
can look forward to a well established operation.

Yeah - that was obviously written when they first launched.

We all had very high hopes back then: I had met the guy who started Betzest many times before when he was with Redbet, and he was one of the nicest and hardest working guys I have ever met in the casino business.
I don't know if he is still with Betzest, but if he is he should be hanging his head in shame at the ludicrous, moronic mistake the casino manager has made :(

Dear Sir,

Regarding your betting activity, our system is more than correct and recorded it precisely.

It seems that, not in one, but in three instances during bonus wagering, you used a feature called re-try free spin. In the moment that you refused the first legit winnings from the free spins, the winning amount that you refused, since it was already added to your balance, was considered a legit bet by the Microgaming system, as it normally contributes to the wagering (Outdated URL (Invalid)). Hence the breach of the clause 3.12. You repeated this two more times during your bonus wagering, knowing very well that this would contribute to the wagering and hence it would be easier to wager the amount using this feature.

Since you can see your balance during the game, you could easily understand that this feature has those specific mechanics, but you carried on and used that feature two more times, as we said above.

Furthermore, according to clause 3.13 of our Bonus T&C’s this feature is considered irregular play and we quote: “Using the “Double-Up”, gamble feature or any other feature within a game to increase win values” and it is clear that you used this feature to increase the winnings as in the first instance of the 59.5€ bet, where the initial bet was 2.5€ and the winnings from the free spins that you forfeited were 57€, and the whole session was rightly considered as a 59.5€ bet (Outdated URL (Invalid)). From the re-try on this bet you won 84€ and this was a 27€ increase on your original 57€ win. The same option was used for the other two instances.

In the light of the above the breach of the two clauses of our Bonus T&C’s stands. Your deposit was returned and the winnings were confiscated according to clause 1.5.3 “If Betzest suspect or detect any Irregular Play, Betzest may disqualify You from the Bonus and withhold withdrawals and/or confiscate winnings and/or close Your Account.”

We kindly remind you that you accepted these T&C’s when you registered at the site. Nevertheless, as a gesture of good will, we offered you the same bonus again with a kind reminder to read carefully our T&C’s. This offer still stands. We also remind you that you were paid correctly and fast, when you played in adherence with our bonus T&C's before this case.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and we thank you for being a member of Betzest.

Kind Regards.

Casino Manager
That's why I will never ever take any bonus.... unless it will be wagering free. You push wrong button and poof, gone. You need to be walking encyclopedia of all slot games.

Update: Still haven't heard anything from the license provider. Betzest sent a email not long after the complaint that they would look into the matter..

The license provider MADRE took the case very seriously. Betzest will have 2 weeks for a responds.
Just to be clear: MADRE is the "designated ADR", MGA is the license provider.
MADRE arbitrates player complaints, they don't issue casino licenses.
The MGA does issue casino licenses and (occasionally) receives and handles player complaints.

They just restored my balance. Email received today.
Based on the decision made by MADRE the amount 3xxxx Euro will be added on your balance. Thank you for your understanding.

Hope you got it and withdrew every penny. Let us all know if you receive the funds.

Be good if you do get it all . Especially from a casino that blatantly ripped you off that has a clueless rep on here.

You see.. this wouldn't happen without exposure on casinomeister. Without forums like casinomeister even veteran gamblers who are familiar with the whole process occasionally get fuxxed in the... whatever fill it in for yourself.

To be fair do not think casinomeister had much to do with this one.

They basically told Max tough he broke rules which he never. The rep saw the posts in here and basically went f u you have not got a clue what you are talking about.

Why the casino was not thrown straight in rogue pit when it happened is anyones guess.

Seems it was their licencing board or whatever MADRE is that made them change their mind.

Hopefully enough people read the complaint and stay well away from them. But guessing that will not happen.

I would assume that this thread being available for the open public and thus searches on Google would also have an effect on their decision given that the player in this case confirmed here on casinomeister that he got his withdrawal.

I would say rogue pit also however they did pay.... eventually. I have a harder time believing that the MGA had anything to do with this lol.

FWIW we fought with Betzest fairly vigorously on this. In fact it brought a relatively good relationship with them more or less to an end: we dug in our heels in favour of the player and they took that as being an act of ... disloyalty, I suppose. In any case communications went down the bog and that was that, things haven't improved much since AFAIK.

Ok guys, they started too pay me in installments seems to be ok now! I do think Casinomeister had something to do with paying back these funds. This thread got allot of attention and the casino was aware of it. Really happy with the outcome. Only what I can't understand is that other 3rd party website also sided with this casino for instant the pogg let me quote his take on

" Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to assist you in this situation. Where you 'rebuy' the free spins you are placing a single wager or the outcome of the free spins. The individual spin value is non-relevant as you are not staking that value on each spin. What you wagered - i.e. the amount deducted from your balance - was the price of the free spins. If said wager is larger than the maximum allowed wager for the bonus you have claimed then you have violated the bonus terms and the operator are within their rights to consider the bonus contract void and reset both parties to starting conditions. Sorry we cannot be of further help"

It is for me not understandable that someone like him responds it this way, when I gave him the same info as CM forum members. Anyway not to shine a bad light on his platform. I just want to give my 2 cents about my journey retrieving the funds back. Thanks guys for all the help and info!

Have you taken the time to read the review of this casino? Having cheating or pirated software is Rogue - having inept management or bonus cockups is Not Recommended. :D

Well we have a difference of opinion.

So basically if a casino Rep has no clue what he is saying. And the casino blatantly refuses to pay a player for doing no wrong . Refuses to cooperate with yourself even when you tell them they are wrong you class it as not recommended.

Sorry Bryan but I have read the rogue section and many casinos are in for similar. So now you are saying that casinos that steal winnings and refuse to pay players and give you the talk to the hand approach are no longer rogue just not recommended.

Seriously that can not be right. Neither can the fact it took months to even issue a warning or change review after they ripped the player off.

Also taking Max's last response where he said himself the casino dug their heels in. Would not pay player even when told they are wrong and brought s good relationship to an end sums up fact casino could not care. It was like tough we will refuse to pay players if we feel like it. Is that any worse than the rogue casinos.

Yes, typically rogue casino are serial offenders without hope of change in sight, at least that's the way I've always seen it. That description wouldn't apply to Betzest.

In the case at hand we fundamentally disagreed with the casino's management over the application of a bonus' Terms. They read it one way, we disagreed. IMO it would be a long stretch to turn that into "we refuse to pay if we feel like it" because there was no evidence to indicate that that was how they were dealing with their players over time. An isolated incident, especially of this nature, typically isn't grounds for blacklisting anyone be it player or casino.

FWIW we've disagreed with "friendly" casinos in the past and had to down-grade them because of it. That usually doesn't mean a fast track to the Rogue Pit though, not unless there's a body of historical evidence to support it. Again, not the case with Betzest.

It's worth noting that we get exceedingly few complaints about Betzest so that means two things:
  1. we have no body of evidence against them.
  2. there are either few problems with that casino or we're simply not hearing about the problems that are there. Given the fullness of time the latter case becomes less and less likely.
