Betsson responsible gaming question

I ran into this just now at Betsson and im sort of unfamiliar with the rules of responsible gambling as I dont really use it much

Last week I withdrew $200 and then set $35 weekly deposit limit mostly because Im not a fan in playing in a currency that isnt mine but if I wanted a small go at bonanza I could.

Today I deposited twice. $88 and $99. After I thought weird, I lowered my limit. So I checked and it was set.

So I went to support and asked them how come my limit isnt working and they told me well since I had a $200 withdraw last week. That is included in my limits even thought its set for $35. So he said im actually allowed to deposit $235

Is this how all responsible gambling is featured?

i had that last year at betsafe withdrew 3000 euros set a monthly limit of 100 and of course i was allowed to deposit 3100 which i did and then lost they take your withdrawel into the deposit limit which i found poor so i closed up my account there

Basically what you have at Betsson is a Loss Limit and NOT a deposit limit, it should really be labelled as such as it is misleading and I think a player that set a deposit limit and then played back a big win would have good grounds for a proper complaint.

Yep, if you search here on CM numerous times I have mentioned the miss-described Redbet deposit limits that are actually loss limits. I believe on one Redbet Alex even responded. It's a horrible scam to ensure you don't deposit your monthly $100 say and win 1k and walk away - it ensures you will then be able to spend the whole 1k back and changes your deposit limit in this example to 1100.

How they've been getting away with this for so long I don't know.

A deposit limit means exactly that - if it's $100 then that's all you can deposit, period, regardless of what you win or lose with that $100.

Yep Dunover has bought this up on other thread, like he said.

Its disgusting behavior to be honest and yet again sites are flunting the rules when it suits them. Soon it will be like sorry you set a limit so that means we can only pay up to that limit also

I would make a complaint if I lost a shit load of winnings back
