I've just put in a withdrawal request with Betfred and noticed that it goes in to a pending state. After speaking to live chat I've been told it stays pending for 24 hours with no option to flush.

I was also advised that this pending period was pushed for by customers.....

My biggest pet peeve with online casino's is a pending period without a flushing option and cannot believe any customers would push for this... I'm just wondering what other users thoughts are? If the majority agree with me and would like to see this changed then maybe we can persuade Betfred to at least introduce flushing.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

It is total BS that players would like pending periods. Ridicilous :D.. In case some do, who would it hurt to have flushing enabled.

That pending period is not mentioned on the specifications of Betfred here at CM:
Betfred Review » Reverse time: 0 hrs

If Betfred implemented a "pending period", their conditions here should be updated accordingly.
And their rep should also clarify if the pending period was really enforced as a new condition.

Well its better then the casino i play at, my withdrawals are always pending for 4 days and also haven't made one since december 2012 too. So congrats on your win and enjoy it as its only 24 hours extra wait at least u won. Its also good that there's no flushing option as 90 out of 100 times you would lose some if not all of it if you flowbacked your withdrawal

Why in the world do you play in such a casino?
Flushing means that wd comes unreversable.

I agree with what others have said. This sounds like bullshit.

I was approach by a casino a few weeks ago who asked me if I was interested in promoting them. They are practicing a 2 days obligatory pending time, so I told them that I do not promote slow paying casinos with long obligatory pending time (2 business days is not acceptable for me).

They replied that they used to pay out as soon as possible, but their own affiliates had repeatedly asked them to implement this pending time.

As they told me "this is a good thing as players do less withdrawals and you earn more commission".

So yes, I can believe that this is something that for example affiliates are pushing for, but I can never imagine that players in general are asking casinos to introduce pending time.

You are 100% correct. Which player in HIS / HER right mind would want to be slow paid?

Hehe...yeah. You know that Casinomeister is rating casinos based on for example Cash Out time where the fastest paying casinos get the highest rating.

But according to Betfred, it should almost be the other way around where fast paying casinos are ranked lower as players want pending time

cash out time:

within 12 hours: very bad
within 24 hours: bad
1 day pending: fair enough
2 days pending: getting even better
4 days pending: excellent - highest rating

This must be a recent change. it's been awhile since I've had a withdrawal from Betfred. but i just checked my moneybookers account and betfred history. and on the 1st of February i had two withdrawals that was in my MB account within 1 hour.

Of course it might be that the account history at betfred only shows the time it was processed and not the pending time. so don't take my word for it, as i might be reading this wrong. maybe someone else can check their accounts?.

Well at least they are being honest. I prefer that they tell us right away that they do that in hope that we reverse it and lose it all than telling us the usual bullshit that they do it to save fees (implying that we're all a bunch of idiots that deposit the entire amount right back anyway).

Back in March i made a post on the Accredited Casinos Update page about Betfred as the payment time did not match what was listed on CM.

I have had two withdrawals since then with all 3 taking 2 days to pay to Neteller.

As you can see below, i was told nothing about a pending period but it's too much of a coincidence that they went from really fast payouts to then take 2 days. So I'm guessing they had implemented the pending period by this stage.

It would be nice to have the truth but i think they have already given us players what we really wanted...longer payment times YIPPEE

Betfred cashout time
Just a heads up.

I noticed that Betfred is listed as 24 hours cashout time.

I had been waiting 30 hours for a neteller withdrawal so i contacted cs and was told...

Withdrawals to a online wallet, can take up to 48 hours to process by Betfred and then up to 6 hours to reach the wallet.
I did ask if this was a recent change but was not given an answer, just that these are the time frames but they try to pay out sooner.

These two sentences say it all.

While it's not very understandable to see players asking for reversal times (although it seems there are a few out there...), it's quite logical that affiliates ask for those pending periods (it's their business after all).

Fortunately to us players, there are some like you Rainmaker, who have the common sense to understand that the "reversal time" is a kind of shoot in the foot: it works in the beginning, but some time (losses) later, players go away to not come back...

But, I'm sorry to say, I believe some affiliates may ask for those pending periods.
In all businesses there are good and bad operators, online gambling is no different.

i have notified the Betfred rep about this Thread, he hasn't been online since the 29th.
i guess he will be back next week.

i made a withdrawal from Betfred to skrill/moneybookers last night, and that is still pending.
so a really poor change, we all value fast cashouts.

i hope this will be changed or at least we will be given the option to manually flush.

iv been playing here as my main casino for a few years and have reached gold vip level and when they implemented this i complained and was told the same thing, the worse thing is its 48 hours for processing (can be sooner but rarely is) for standard members and you only get the 24 hours if your gold vip or above, although actually iv just checked the site and they have removed mention of this (before it was stated on the gold vip section that you get faster payments and that was what i was told) maybe they have introduced a blanket 24 hours for all now although i only asked a few weeks ago. problem i have is i never received any information about any of these changes iv always had a great time with betfred and their support is normally perfect the live chats are top notch but the lack of information about major policy changes is putting me off atm.... :(

Thanks all for your responses. It seems at least the majority of players don't agree with the change and that it hasn't been communicated to most players.

I see Betfred have now seen this thread, i'd be interested in their response.

Yeah, I would also like to know more about this.

It is interesting that Betfred says that their players are almost begging them to pay out slower, so hopefully the rep can give us an explanation.

Also a bit strange that they have not created a promotion widget on their front page saying something like "24-48 Hours Pending Time on ALL Withdrawals. Play Today!".

I mean...if this is something that players want, then they certainly should use it for whatever it is worth :D

Surely a player WILL use their withdrawal to deposit again, even if elsewhere. If an affiliate has a decent site and a loyal following, that somewhere else is likely to be another property they have brought that player to, so they will get commission anyway. They may get even MORE commission as those players that just wait out the pending period instead of playing it back get to play it back quicker under their own terms. It's the house edge that gives affiliates their long term earnings, so the quicker the money moves, the quicker it gets played.

What casinos and affiliates don't see is players not depositing in the first place because they are aware of a long pending period, and so deposit less in such places and more where they know payment will be quick.

In my case, my last possible deposit before my Neteller account runs dry almost always goes into 32Red. I then play to win, knowing that if I do it will be in my Neteller the next day, or even later the SAME day. This avoids having to top up my Neteller account from my bank. If I lose at 32Red, pending times don't matter and I have to top up my Neteller anyway.

In order to stand a chance of altering my policy, a slower paying casino has to offer a high bonus, one that is tempting enough that will make me accept that should I win, I will still have an empty Neteller account for a few days until I get paid, and may still have to top it up despite having won.

Agree with everything you've said in this thread VWM and I also take the same approach. I will also no longer play at casino's with pending time who don't offer flushing.

Places like Bet365/Will Hill and even Expekt offer the responsible gambling option to actually remove the pending withdrawal option from accounts so it can easily be implemented.

Are you having a laugh, Betfred are a dream payer compared to Betway. I could go to Spain for a week, get a tan and return to still find myself waiting on it coming out of their system, total joke !!

I don't play at Betway because their Sportsbook isn't highly rated and I believe the operational service levels would not meet my expectations.

All the places I play at (and that's a really long list as I play at Sportsbooks as well) payout within 24 - 48 hours to Skrill. Some - Kerching/Skybet/William Hill usually pay out in seconds to Skrill.

I don't have a problem with Betfred's payment time in principal (although I don't personally like pending times with no flushing). The only reason I've made the thread is that it's such a negative change, they used to payout within 24 hours and never had pending times on card payments. It also hasn't been effectively communicated to players.

"Dear Betfred,

As a long time player at your online casino, I must register my disgust at your too-quick payout times. I have been repeatedly paid into my Neteller account by yourselves in less than 2 hours, and the stress of having to go and transfer this money into my bank account to spend on other things, or having to walk to the local ATM to withdraw it in good old currency of the realm is becoming unbearable. I often do the above, only to think two hours later, 'if only I hadn't taken that money out and spent it back on the slots'. This mental torture cannot be allowed to continue. If you want my custom in future, I insist you retain my winnings and cashouts for at least 48 hours so as I can decide what to do with them rather than impulsively transfer them to my bank or visit the ATM. I also regret to say I feel guilty when I win and feel obliged to spend the winnings back at your casino, which your fast cashouts have denied me the opportunity to do.
Please consider my request to impose a pending period on my withdrawals favourably.

Your Sincerely,

A. Pratt"
