Betfair “updating RTP”

I dont get it why most of these casino's are shafting the RTP. You got a winning formula anyway in hands, keep the costs low, and you have a winner in hand.

If the industry is being forced to decide how much a player can spend or introduce mandatory limits for under 25s then they're going to yeet the max RTPs to compensate for potential losses.

Even if that legislation wasn't in place they would have eventually done it as I'm sure some places started doing it when license fees and POC taxes were increased - now it's just being pushed through quicker.

Thought id have a small session on BOD at 1 line since this change.
Might get these wins in slightly the wrong order but it should still be a fairly accurate description of how it went.

Free spins feature did drop somewhere inbetween for entertainment value and to provide extra dead spin credits: 17x

Not quite hitting the 94% return but damn, what a ride.

you've gotta be addicted (fair one, look at my name) to play this shit at 94% . figured I'd see if it was capable of anything at all since my previous comment and added another 1hour and 45 mins to the previous session of nothingness. approx 160 base game wins in total for 2.5 hours all combined, wins worth mentioning were 10x 10x 10x and after 1.5 hours, finally a 25x. The other roughly 157 base game hits being 5x.
probably took 1000x loss during that time. Prolly done 2/3 million spins through this sack of shit over the years on 1 line and seen nothng like this before.
Played there betfair, makes sense why you threw out a 'play 5 quid get a 2 quid bonus' on BOD instead of the usual £1 bonus you'd send out, before you butt fu**ed the rtp. Makes sense because the game is fucking unplayable.

They are all gettin fucked from the upcoming gambling review. Cashing in before that. They’ll be lucky if they don’t have to answer for the hundreds of suicides that have happened here (uk). Jack Ritchies inquest has opened the door

Reading this forum makes me thankful I gave up. I remember the times when you actually got a run with your deposit. Then it just seemed like reload after reload.

Session-building is all but a lost art anyway, replaced with games that most wouldn't have a prayer in succeeding on, because of their insanely high variance. Chances of getting any sort of return is negligible, and so thousands would likely have minor flutters on such games, before moving on. And I think companies know this, and prefer it....everyone takes part, no one really wins 👏

More often than not players will continue partaking of their favourite old games purely out of habit and routine, it doesn't necessarily indicate addiction. A lot of games ride on players' memories of previous good hits, and the feelings that encapsulates. Problem is when said games are shorn of RTP, and so become unrecognizable, and a shadow of their former selves. Ain't nobody got time for that.

When the games are so clearly gimped across the board it's probably worth taking a step back and evaluating whether pouring money into such money pits is ultimately even a fun endeavour, or whether any entertainment has been had. Because at current pisstaking levels, I'd take a guess at 'no'. Vote with your proverbial wallet, break the cycle and start getting some autonomy back, whilst telling these companies their products are sub-par. It's easier to do than you think

If the industry relied on habit and routine they wouldn’t survive. They prey on the addicted and drain them for everything they have. Over 300 suicides a year, come on and just look at the amount of court cases of theft/fraud, to feed their online gambling routine? Tobacco companies got away for so long, online gambling companies same boat, they know their day is up,

At least they decided to be upfront about it.

Would be interesting to know where this leaves providers like BTG with fixed RTPs - will they consider creating new games with lower RTPs that fit the changing casino business model or succumb to providing games with sliding RTPs to ensure the casinos keep taking their games?
@BTG dont need to lower RTP coz most of the time we lose playing BTG games 😂

from £20 deposit on 20p per spin this what you get
  1. 96.21% = 2,613 spins
  2. 94.25% = 1,722 spins
  3. 91.25% = 1,132 spins
  4. 87.25% = 777 spins
  5. 84.18% = 626 spins
