Looks like ecopayz is still available - at least I got a personal email from Betat rep urging me to register with ecopayz now that Skrill and credit cards (for my location) are banned. I planned to ask more questions today, yet Betat casino appears offline with no notice... reminds me of the prob they had a couple of years ago, after which they went downhill. Or was it Guts?

    Why are casinos doing this?
Skrill is being discontinued as a payment option by an increasing number of casinos.
Not sure why though, maybe someone here at Casinomeister knows? I'd love to know the reason Skrill has fallen from the casinos grace.

At SuperLenny (since 3 weeks) and Thrills (since past Monday) they discontinued a lot of payment options. They both only have 4 available payment options left (Trustly / Bank transfers / Visa / Paysafecard).

Because it's so much easier to set up multiple skrill accounts so its the preferred banking method for the scammers and bonus abusers . Sucks for us though because skrill is so convenient

This is a really bad move from the casinos. They are getting much less traffic when they remove the easiest deposit methods. I don't understand this decision at all. Even though there are scammers and abusers there are other means for the casino to get the bad guys. It is really strange that some casinos are getting all kinds of cryptocurrencies on board aswell like bitcoin for instance, while others go to the other way and remove the convenient withdrawal methods.

Yes, and although I am far from bitcoin-saffy, I'd say that crytocurrencies also provide opportunities for scammers. As mentioned elsewhere, it must have something to do with the outrageous costs Skrill/Neteller are applying.

That's quite surprising to hear I always thought that Skrill has very tight security checks with multiple accounts being a no-no, unless for 100% verified VIPs...

P.S. Does anybody know if Paysafecard is good for withdrawals as well as for deposits?

Paysafecard is a prepaid voucher and you can’t withdraw with this method, just deposit.

Thanks for clarifying! But in this case, if Betat leaves only Paysafecard as a deposit method (as seen from the OP), it means they will accept deposits from players but will never will or be able to pay their withdrawals? 0_o

First see the paysafecard site for places you can use it. I'm afraid you may not be able to use that for deposits from your region.

Maybe I got it wrong, sorry (( Yesterday morning, when Betat site was still up and running, the only two deposit options I could see in their Cashier section were ECO and PAYSAFE, hence my questions... now the casino is unavailable so no updates are possible.

I have said it before, Neteller has the best and tightest security I have seen online, better than all casinos.
IMHO there is a global attempt to limit the use of ewallets and cryptocurrencies. The economic crisis that started in 2008 and the fact that banks were used to blackmail countries, made people mistrust their local banks.
So I think they want to force us use them again as much as before 2008.
