Betat down

This thread startet with support and that they did the right thingy not paying. Now it is so much complaints over the fact that it is not done in a hearthbeat to fix the issues after holding their ground. I think we should be patient as it have not been that long since the attack. They are the one loosing money over this not us, so im quite sure they are doing the best they can. I only have 1 deposit at betat and one at slotty so cant say much if they are worth the waiting and support but i got a really good first impression! :) especially Malin from chat were very kind

i would think its all still teething problems without any panic there a pretty much stand up casino , who no doubt shall be back to normal soon ) as casinos go there at the top , wouldnt say a bad thing about them , ive had many accounts over the years to which havnt come close to these guys.

patience is key here there doing there best after the attack , give them breathing space & im sure this shall reflect

If Betat pay, the attacks will come back again and again.

Whilst holding out and not paying has been hard, it's not necessarily an easy ride for their competitors as the attackers will eventually try a new target having not managed to get Betas to budge. This will mean that Betat will be running smoothly whilst a competitor has to shut it's service down, and players who drifted in one direction will end up drifting back the other way as they just want to play. Long term, provided these attacks don't put people off the hobby altogether, players will just drift around between the various sites, so it might be losses one month, but higher than expected profits the next as their own players are joined by refugees from another site undergoing an attack.

Law enforcement takes this kind of thing VERY seriously, and those responsible, if caught, will most likely go to jail.

Casinos will have to protect themselves against this kind of cyber-terrorism in the future which will result in increasing costs for IT-infrastructure to avert potential damage from future attempts. Betat/Slotty was down for ~10 days and that during a time of the year where there is above average playing activity and profit-potential. The Christmas bonus for the staff will be curtailed.

VWM is right that they might find another victim that eventually pays the ransom. There where reported DDoS attacks on redbet, MrGreen and Neteller and possible a whole bunch of more we didn't noticed. Who knows what happens behind the scenes. Not all casinos are as upfront with this kind of information like betat.

And regarding casino generosity. While I share the frustrations about the technical hiccups I find it irritating to praise VS for their generosity in this thread. In fact I got many generous offers in all those advent calendars the casinos came up with, reaching from deposit bonuses to tons of free-spins for appropriate deposits. I'm sure once Betat is back to full strength their rewards will be unparalleled especially with regards to their exclusive CM promotions.

I do echo your sentiments completely, and I rate Betat as the number one site, I just wish they could get these issues sorted out, or give updates on where they are at. I hope they get back to normal soon as they will hopefully have fixes in place to avoid these problems in future. And I feel very sorry for their CS as I'm sure they are getting tortured in chat with players wanting to know what's going on. Lets hope all their staff get looked after during this demanding time.

PS, I locked my accounts at the 3 other sites I play at on Monday so that all my budget went to Betat for the next two weeks, and that's very frustrating for me!!!

I managed to log in just now.

There are no promos/Christmas calendar though, and my deposit method (Paysafe) is still not available.

I can login, but I can't actually do anything - all games fail to load for me and there is a message that pops up to say all transactions are blocked on my account, which is pretty frustrating when my balance is over £2000. Was able to login and play at Slotty with no issues, and also made a small deposit there which went ok, but I really want to be able to access and play with the funds I have at Betat.

I went to register with them last night and notice there was only two methods of paying. Paysafe is my method too. I was going to ask if that was the norm just now, but you beat me to it.:p

I said on Monday that it will probably take them 1 week after relaunch to get back to normal and it looks like that will be the case. Just imagine they have to build-up the whole structure, re-load and synchronize all records from back-ups, put up higher fences against DDoS, etc etc. It is a mountain of work.

I said to Karl earlier this week that i am actually happy that i work with real machines where things can still be fixed with a screwdriver or hammer. Going through the complexity of multiple types of software, 100'000's of lines of code, getting it to run all smoothly is just a nightmare, especially when you are under so much pressure as they were. Remember it is Christmas period with much higher player activity than the normal average.

Anybody who likes Bet-At will be patient and give them the time to get back to the very high level they were prior to the attack. They will add step-by-step all payment options, promotions, etc etc. as the situation allows it and will surely sort out all outstanding bonus/game play issues. Believe me there is nobody who wants to be back to normal more than the Bet-At team.

Hence, if you are a real supporter of Bet-At then you will be waiting for them to be back in their shiny armor. If not, there are surely tons of places taking your bucks, that is the hard reality.

At the end of the day, if your house burns down, you won't rebuild it in 2 weeks either

Still getting:

"Your account is currently unable to make any transactions. Kindly contact customer support for further assistance."

Not good ... the £300 would certainly help with Xmas expenses ...

Send a PM to Karl and he will try to sort it out for you. Might be though until tomorrow before he is back in the office.

On another note, if 300GBP would make such a difference to you then maybe you shouldn't gamble at all.

The "assistance with Xmas expenses" was a little 'tongue in cheek' - a, possibly foolish on my part, attempt to slightly lighten the post. Your very helpful moralising has been noted, thank you.

Sorry Roger if i was too strong with my words. Was just my experiences from the past we other people, and admittidly myself on occasion too, speaking where the situation did not allow gambling but it would still be done.

I totally understand ... and actually a good point but I guess we're all a little sensitive on occasions about our "hobby" - especially when we're owed money - losing's bad enough but not getting payed .... welllllll !

Harry, I agree with all that you say, its just very frustrating that there seems to be no resolution in sight for the problems. CS don't seem to have insight into when potential fixes may happen, and when a response from support goes along the lines of " try again in a few hours and it might work " it doesn't instil you with a great deal of confidence. I, along with many others, hope that Betat gets over these issues sooner rather than later, because before all this happened it was probably the best site on the nets IMHO.

No doubt it is frustrating. I kept 1500$ from this months budget in my Ecopayz account to play again at Bet-AT after the relaunch. Especially because i have plenty of catching up to do in the CM Christmas contest. Up to this day EP is not activated again. Been asking every day but still don't have a definite answer.

Patience is the magic word at the moment.

I have no issues with logging in, I just can't do anything when I get in, I can't play, I can't withdraw and I can't get any updates from CS. Ive PM'd Karl, I'm hoping he can get it sorted as my patience is running low after the same issues from last Thursday, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one having these issues. When I tried Slotty I have no problem depositing and playing, its only Betat that doesn't like me.

I got this message yesterday, but only once and no problems since then, but no point in me keeping logging in when I can't do anything.
