The mail will not get to Gibraltar until the spanish takes it back from the british. Just kidding! :) I am glad someone at BelleRock is responsive and is looking after players' issues.

Her tip was "Always wager full amount of bet. When a big wins comes, it will cover your losses, but if the win comes when you have dropped down your bet, you will not be ahead."
Can someone translate it for me? I don't even understand the first sentence.

It means when you have a choice of coin values to use as in VPs, slots etc, such as $0.25, $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, or $5.0 say, always bet $5.0 the maximum in this case. I can see why the casino considers it to be a good tip..................... for them. To do that, players will have to deposit a huge amount so as not to go bankrupt before the big win comes.

I thought it meant always wager the full coin amount when playing vp or slots, rather than just 1 coin or so. Its based on the usually extra payout you get when you hit the top hand/combination while playing full coins. (e.g. royal flush or 3 cash splash symbols)

That's more of a 'duh' than anything to me. My game tip had to do with when to double up on VP and when not to.

Hi All,

As an indication, we received two surveys last week Wednesday the 25th, that had been posted from the US on 22nd of July.

I took the tip to mean that you should always bet the maximum coins, as opposed to the maximum amount of credits. Meaning if you have the option to bet 0.5 or 1 credit on a 3 coin slot it would be better to bet either 1.5 if you are playing the smaller coin size or 3 if you are playing the larger coin size. This is inline with JPMs interpretation.

I must admit the value of a gaming tip is highly subjective, and fortunately the outcome of the competition was not based on the tip, but from a name draw, or we could have been arguing the outcome for months.

Best regards,

Belle Rock

HOLD THE PHONE HERE! THE OUTCOME WAS BASED FROM A NAME DRAW???

THIS WAS NOT HOW THE PROMOTION WAS MARKETED.

It was very clear that the winner would be the one who submitted the best gaming tip, NOT from a 'random' draw. I have the email to prove it. Here is a portion of it from August 10th.

Hold the phone is exactly right.

This shows the dangers in making assumptions, and in not doing the research before saying something, fortunately however you are all reasonable people who will allow me a chance to give an explanation before shouting foul.

In my haste to post a response to JPM I did not wait for the actual details on the promotion, hence my first mistake in saying that the draw had not taken place. When actual information arrived stating that a winner had been selected and her tip was as follows I again hastily posted my apology and never thought to read further. I assumed that the winner had been drawn, and did not interpret the word selected correctly; in a follow up post I stated this as fact when it was actually incorrect. The winner of the promotion was selected based on her gaming tip being identified as the best that we had received. This was according to the rules and T&Cs, and nothing more sinister than my own stupidity was involved in the statement made regarding a random draw.
Personally I still think that tips are subjective, like telling people how to raise their kids what works for some wont work for others- and we could argue about whose is best for months.
Fortunately the marketing team who orchestrated the promotion thought of this and included in the T&Cs Casino managements determination of the winner(s) shall be final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into in this regard. I guess this had to be done because the choice of a winning tip is also subjective.

Sorry for the confusion.

Best regards,

Belle Rock
