So...being as skeptical as I am, I did not phone them for a few days .... thinking since they used the word "credit" instead of "cash" this was just a come on.
Then I phone Lucky Nugget five times to be sure that the "cash" was mine to play and was cashable.
I spoke to Justin, Marlin, Samantha, Kasim and Mario. They walked me through the wagering requirements and the games I could play with the $160.00 that was in my account since JULY 2002!
I had completely forgotten about this deposit of $100 and the $110 bonus Lucky nugget had applied to my account.
During the past few years, Lucky Nugget had deducted a $10 fee for every six months that my money laid around in my account. I wasn't angry at all about this being the fact that they had the decency to email me and tell me about it.
Hence the $160.00. I was told that according to the T&C's back then I had to wager the deposit and bonus 5 times. And I could play Blackjack.
I sent they Viper on expert at $2.00 per hand and let her rip.
After 15 minutes I was up to $270.00.
Now.. again, being the sceptic that I am let's see what happens when I try to cash it in.
I went to the cashier and there was a "script error" pop up screen.
Now , I figured, being the sceptic that I am, here comes the bullshit.
I phoned Mario. He came up with the very same message error. They were having a problem with their server.
After giving Mario all my personal details and my Neteller details, Mario MANUALLY made the with withdrawal.
I'll repeat that ... Mario MANUALLY made the withdrawal!
This is what I found in my Neteller account this morning ...

Apr 15 17:41 www.sendvia.com - $270.00 USD

Accepted ... I really couldn't believe my eyes. I've always thought that Belle Rock Group was one of the best. I am now completely and totally convinced that there is NO better than Belle Rock.
I would LOVE to hear of any others having such an experience as I have had.
Plus, I am send this to the Belle Rock Group just to let them know that I kept my word and make this post as soon as the money hit my Neteller account.

GREAT JOB BELLE ROCK!!!

Maths lesson

$100 plus $110 bonus is $210

Dormant since 2002, charges for 2004 alone would remove $120, leaving you with $90 - I find this hard to believe. You should also have had the fees deducted since Jan 2003, leaving you with no balance.
You also say you deposited $100 and then forgot all about it! Poor financial controls at the player/brain interface eh.
Given the poor service many have received recently, and the affiliate tag thingy after the '?' on the link you helpfully provide, we will all draw our own conclusions. I already have an account, opened through TheMutual.net, whose "customer service" makes BelleRock seem cutting edge in comparison.

Two and a half years at $10 per SIX months equals $50.00
$210.00
- 50.00
--------
$160.00

So, what the hell are YOU talking about!
I think you're the one who NEEDS the lesson in math.

How do you know what was going on in my life at that particular time that may have had me make this slip my mind!
Who the hell are you to judge me...FOOL!
Remember...FOOL ... you don't know me.

Draw your own conclusions about what?

Good for you.
You have your opinion and I have mine.

I couldn't give a fat rats ass if you believe me or not.
Why in the world would I make this post if it weren't true?

Watch the name calling.

Also you should be damn well aware that posting affiliate links are way out of line. These are not to be posted anywhere in this fourm except for the "Strictly Commercial" section. And in that section, only casinos that are not already represented here at Casinomeister may be advertised.

Since when have you decided that it's okay to post affiliate links in other people's forums? How would you deal with this if the shoe was on the other foot?

My apologies regarding the affiliate link. I DO know better. I made the post at Insom and did a copy/paste.
My fault.

Now... regarding the name calling, what do consider this?

I would consider this a description of an activity which may or may not be happening. "Namecalling" is the process of using nouns to "name" someone. :D

I might just be a naive newbie, but I am not quite sure what is meant to be so great about this?

Firstly they take your money away for nothing, even though in fact they have received your $100 two and a half years ago, and have had it on deposit for that period earning interest. This was in their terms and conditions, but they didn't inform you about it for two and a half years, even though good customer service would dictate that they send an email something like this after five months:

Dear xxxx,
We notice you haven't played for a while. In accordance with our terms and conditions after six months without any activity we will levy a $10 charge. This charge will be taken on January 3rd.

Hope to see you soon.

Regards,

your friendly casino rep

OK, nothing to be too pleased about so far, I would be disappointed with this. If this had been my bank charging me a non-usage fee on my credit card I would have called them up complaining me that they hadn't told me about it for two years, hadn't sent me any kind of statement or anything else.

Next, they actually agreed to honour the contract you made with them when they deposited the money. Hmm, seems like normal business practices to me.

Finally you risked your $100 and you were lucky. Pretty normal for a casino, not much to really write home about here.

Then, their systems fell over when you went to get your money. Not a good sign.

So you had to spend extra time calling them, and they made the withdrawal. Hmm, I am not sure if this should be noteworthy. Man contacts customer service, customer service does what they should do...

Lastly, it looks like they asked you to post this on multiple message boards: 'Plus, I am send this to the Belle Rock Group just to let them know that I kept my word and make this post as soon as the money hit my Neteller account.'

Your tale isn't a bad one that would make me never want to deposit my money with these guys, but I am far from convinced that this makes them 'the best'.

But I guess I too would probably happily post something saying xxx casino was wonderful if it meant I would get $270 I otherwise thought I wouldn't get.

$270 .... That's called The Bottom Line. :D

If this was the casino's idea I wonder what on earth they were thinking, though! All this negotiating tactic of promising a positive post across all the message boards made me think was that Belle Rock had descended to the level of Virtual or ConnectTo...

When customers begin to praise casinos for paying them in a timely manner , then there's definitely a problem in the industry. This should be standard practice. It seems as though they've got the players conditioned to expect roadblocks and delays when requesting a cash-in. Whenever I lost money, I wasn't able to delay payment to the casino. They were right there the very next night sucking the money out of my bank account. It's a shame that we praise casinos that do nothing more than hold up their end of the agreement.. as though we're surprised.

Posting on multiple boards was MY idea.
I was just trying to show you players how honest they are.

Look, I'm tired of defending every word that I've posted in this thread.

How in the world can you put Belle Rock on the level of Virtual ...
Gimme a break!

All of you can believe what you want.

I'm sorry I even started this thread.

NEVER AGAIN ... will I try to help direct players to the GOOD GUYS!!!

I stand corrected on my maths, and my inadvertant skipping of one crucial sentence.

I took the $10 levy to be monthly after 6 months of no activity - you do indeed clarify later that it was taken each 6 months.

I cannot apologise for spotting the affiliate code tagged on the homepage link, although I accept that this was simple human error on your part while doing a cut & paste. But, this appearing, heaping praise on a group that is currently in the firing line for very poor customer service, brought to mind the possibility that this was veiled advertising rather than a genuine outpouring of gratitude. As you are able to edit your own posts perhaps you should edit out the tag and just leave the URL, or even suggest where to find it on Casinomeister and let him get the bounty as it goes towards the upkeep of this site, and funds the costs of attending affiliate conferences, pitch a bitch, etc.

I also agree that they should have contacted you when it became clear you had not played your deposit, and they should have spotted this far sooner than 6 months out. What would make them worthy is to apologise for failing to contact you earlier, refund the charges taken, and add a goodwill bonus on top.

I think they did good just for the fact of letting him know he still had money in there. Their other alternative (as I'm sure many many others would do) is to simply keep the money and stay quiet about it.

:notworthy Precisely my point.
