Ok,
I have been a bit lucky this week online and at landbased casinos. And I am rather funny as believing in signs (I know sounds funnny) For example went to the river boats on Friday night left with 31 $100 bills, started with $300, so not to bad, well on Sunday as going through my purse I found 2 $100 chips lol they must have missed the part of my purse i put them in.

Also as i chose to use my winnings in a good way pay off bills buy my kids a swimming pool ect.. get a new washer and dryer, well the washer and dryer I wanted sell for about $1100 each, went to Home Depot on Saturday morning rather funny that the night before they had just put that washer and dryer set on the floor because somone had changed there mind and took them back a week after buying them. Marked down to a little over $500 each with another 10% off. That there seemed to be some luck in it's self as I was only going to buy the washer and wait for the dryer.

So my question here is if you had all this happen to you would you think you may be on a nice lucky streak or have you had things happen to you that make you think to yourself, hmmmmm this may be the time to play?

When I was in London recently, I was heading to the Old Globe to see Shakespeare's Coriolanus when a Tube employee stopped me randomly and gave me a £10 ticket for that play and that night ... didn't charge me anything and said someone who couldn't use it had given it to him and told him to find someone who could use it.

I decided that it was my lucky night and hit the Gala casino later that night ... walked out £50 richer just in time to catch the last Tube train back to my hotel!

Other than that, I'm not superstitious.

My theory is that when you hit a piece of nice luck, you tend to try and hit a bit more than you would normally - and odds suggest you'll sometimes do well again! You don't often remember the times that, following the nice bit of luck - it all goes pear shaped :D

The one that sticks in my mind is the 3000 cashout from Roxy Palace off a $10 bonus.. Happy days!

I've flown over from the farthest reaches of the galaxy, because I can't pass this one up.

nice run

do you think Matty would mind if I come over and rub you?

With the last name "Balls", that sounds like quite the proposal. I think that the poster above misread the title of the read. It reads "being" lucky, not trying to "get lucky".

Sorry, I'm going to go and hide behind Jupiter's moon now.

I defintely believe in luck! Last year during September and October it didn't matter what I did or where I played, I came out ahead. Both online and at the land based casino here in town. I'm a low roller and ended up being ahead around 4k for both months all totaled. A warning though - when it dies, it DIES.. hard and fast, and for me it is still yet to return even in spurts. I went from being the luckiest to the most unlucky. I didn't know when to quit and to a point, still don't. I keep thinking it's got to turn around eventually, lol. :eek2:

Give him a hand, folks, he's here all night!!

Quick! Buy something with the money so it doesn't go back to them! Luck comes and goes. I for one don't want to think of how I won it all and lost it all. For me, if I double the money I put into it, then it's time to cashout and enjoy.

or may be the time to stop playing.

That is the hardest to predict, when to actually STOP (as in cash out from Neteller, not just the casino). I have had runs of luck, recently running through the early part of this month, which added to a spurt at the end of April. This was due to repeated Royal Flushes, a 4000 5-scatter hit on Spring Break in free spins. Many decent "lifesaver" hits when balances were falling. It was hard to spot the end, and I didn't get it completely right, but a right kicking at Ruby Fortune and All Slots last weekend made it clear as day that it was over for the time being, even though I recovered somewhat at Spin Palace and Roxy Palace, and even got a 250 Wheel of Cash at Golden Reef a whole day after playing there, and managed to extract an extra 300 from it.
I then took the opportunity to submit my PC for surgery in an attempt to cure the many problems I have with MG casinos.
I have got the basics back now, and a rather less embarrassing 30Gb hard drive, so I can eventually have all my casinos loaded at the same time.

Vinyl.....you hit on a great point....the easy party is withdrawing my winnings to neteller, the difficult part is to then transfer them (all) back into my bank account....I think it must have something to do with "water under the bridge" :D

Lucky Streaks

I find my lucky streaks come and go. Even in non gambling matters, some days go so perfectly, other times it seems like a struggle to get anything done. Maybe it has to do with having more confidence when on a winning streak. I forget what that is. I "found" a little money to gamble with so I don't have to wait for my comp points and it didn't last long. And I couldn't agree more regarding the note on getting the casino's money through Neteller back to my bank account. It seems to get as far as Neteller and then it goes back to the casino. I think it is because they make us wait for all the deposits to clear. Of course we could always request a check from the casino.......I need to get a bit more discipline.

My rule is that no matter how much I win, I MUST withdraw half of it from my Neteller account into my bank account. But, then I find that I typically end up using Instacash somewhere anyways and gambling it all away. Guess I have the gamblers curse of stupidity :what:

If I play just for fun and don't care about losing I usually win. But when I desperately need some money, I never win - 'scared money doesn't win' even if I tried to pretend that I play just for fun.

I'd rather be lucky than good... but for months and months I've been neither. Longest losing streak ever for me.

Usually winnings withdrawn to NETeller stay there for gambling -- unless I reach a certain balance... than I will transfer some to bank account, always leaving funds in the 'bankroll'.

Well first off I did pay off bills, got rid of $300 a month in bills great feeling there.

My lucky streak continued but in a very odd way lol
I chose to take $500 to the river boats, got my A$$ beat by that dealer. As it was late and i had a 3 hour drive home i chose to walk around a bit.
As I am sure many of you have been to land based casinos you know we all tend to talk to people ask how they are doing ect... I started to talk to this young guy he was in LA working to rebuild. Very nice young man, he started telling me that he wanted to pull the $5 slots but was unsure because no one was playing them. I had happend to see a slot eariler that seemed to want to give something so I told him and showed him where it was.
He hit $4500, turned around and asked me what I had lost again and gave me $500. I was speachless.
Not only a huge act of kindness (all you hear is bad these days) but I walked out even.
I still am in shock over what this young man did, as he did not have to give me anything. I consider what happend luck but mostly I see it has proof that there are many kind people in this world.

It sure was amazing.
Makes me think this falls under "a random act of kindness" years ago I used to go to the toll booth on the freeway and go to the one that you had to pay a person, and I would tell them I want to pay for the next 2 cars that come through and tell them this is "a random act of kindness" I think I am going to start doing that again.

That's why you are so lucky - because you are doing something good and that returns to you. In this case you showed the guy where to play (you didn't have to or you could play this slot-mashine yourself) and you were rewarded from above.(something made this guy to be generous - he could be an a$$...). :p
Where is my luck ? I've done so much good things for many people :eek2: I guess, I just have a bad Karma.

A nice thing to do!

That's the thing about land based casinos, you can walk around, go get a drink, maybe see some entertainment, and watch some machines to see which one looks ready to pay. When we used to go to Vegas and they had the people giving change and monitoring certain banks of machines (in the good old days) I would always ask which ones seemed due to hit. If I did get a hit, I would always give a generous tip to the casino employee, based on how much I won. Usually I was playing dollars, so they would make a decent tip, although I never won enough to reward someone with more than say $50.
You just don't get the personal contact with the online games, I guess that's why I enjoy this forum.
