I'm thinking that a forum on fantasy sports led /influenced by astute sports members could be good for C.M and U.S.A. players
since its legal here, no problems depositing or with drawing

WATAYA THINK  just thinking :)

Like horse racing, fantasy sports has big money behind it so these were carved out of the UIGEA. But fantasy sports - even though legal - is totally unregulated, there's mucho money to be made ... so there's always a risk of some hanky panky going on.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman launched an inquiry Tuesday night to look into any possible advantages DraftKings and FanDuel employees might have gained by using company data to win contests offered by the other. ESPN pulled co-branded DraftKings segments. On Thursday, a class-action suit was filed in federal court against both startups. The specter of a crackdown looms.

Anyway... if you'd like Bryan to make a new forum section, send him a PM or pop into the Forum Suggestions and Announcements section and request it. He's always open to suggestions to improve our little home away from home.

I saw that news clip about the state suggesting foul play but I think the game is here to stay and will not let employees or there family's play :)

I see some similarities in the DFS craze with the boom days of online poker before the feds cracked down and Black Friday subsequently happened.

The hundreds of millions spent by the market leaders on publicity and marketing has reportedly resulted in almost saturation advertising that has given it a massively high profile this year.

The allegedly "insider" scandal in which a DraftKings employee's winning ratio suddenly soared as high as $350,000 on one contest on a competitor's website has received massive mainstream media coverage and focused political and academic attention on the vertical, with all sorts of experts debating its present legality and whether that should continue.

Several politicians have already requested a Congressional enquiry, and at least two state AGs have (or are about to) reviewed DFS activity in their states.

As Mousey has already pointed out, where there's big money, success and a high profile, the politicians and enforcement agencies will be sniffing around to make names for themselves (and reap tax dollars).

Add the diverse vested commercial interests in sports betting in the USA and i.m.o. it's starting to look as if regulation is inevitable.

PS Breaking news is that a Grand Jury investigation has been convened in Florida, and a second player class action has been filed in Illinois.

On Tuesday, the state attorney general's office declared the games against state law because customers "are clearly placing bets on events outside of their control or influence, specifically on the real-game performance of professional athletes."

Ummm.... kind of like betting on horse races isn't it? But betting on the ponies continues to be legal in most states. Pffffttt...

NY State says FanDuel and Draftkings must cease

On Friday, New York Supreme Court Judge Manuel Mendez ruled that FanDuel and DraftKings—two daily fantasy sports websites—must cease operations in New York, at least as long as the two companies are embroiled in a legal dispute with the state attorney general over whether their businesses constitute an illegal lottery.

BOSTON A state appeals court judge is temporarily allowing daily fantasy sports sites DraftKings and FanDuel to keep operating in New York, blocking a lower court ruling while the issue is fully considered.
State Supreme Court Appellate Division Associate Justice Paul Feinman granted the emergency motion filed by the companies late Friday, several hours after a lower judge ordered them to stop taking business in New York.

PS' Interesting
