    Hi all

    Need your advice here please.

I won £1k last night in Aspers Stratford, i had about 10 £100 chips which i went to cash in after a fairly successful night.

During each game play i kept being asked if i was a member, to which i said no, and i dont want to be! (i go about once every 6 months)

So i go to cash out, and i am FORCED to sign up, i give my ID (my provisional) and am told it doesnt match my sign up sheet as the address is old. I ask why this matters and ask to speak to the casino duty manager. He explains i need to return with my passport (to which i ask why on earth this matters as that doesnt have my address on it) and they refuse to

    A. give me my chips back
    B. sign anything that when i come back there is proof i have my money

I rang them this morning about the situation and was advised "we cant speak about this over the phone"

I am really worried i've lost my money, but for such a sum, i really feel i need to take them to court over it.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

Aspers won't let you cash out £1k + without being a member. I'm not sure why you would be reluctant to join - you can get free food and drink and I've just been given a free cruise by them (well free excluding taxes and tips but still saving about £2k).

They have strict AML regulations they have to abide by - if your address doesn't match, then they need further proof of identity - same as online casinos. They are not going to steak your winnings. Take them the documents they need and you will get paid.
