Hi,

I have just tried to signup with the Arthurian casino from the accreditted casinos list.
I waited about 20 hours for the bonus to be credited, and then I cantacted chat support.

When I signed up I carefully read the terms and conditions. It looks like they enforce terms that are not written on their site.

When I created my account, I had the choice between euro, GBP, and USD. I choose GBP. That turned out to be a bad choice...

Andy: Welcome to the Vegas Partner Lounge Casino Support Desk. How can I help you?
me: hello. I wonder when I will get my bonus. I deposited like 20 hours ago...
me: And it say 5-8 hours
Andy: One moment while I check my records please.
Andy: Your account has been opened in British Pounds
Andy: You should be playin gin euros
me: ??
Andy: You are living in Denmark
me: Yes. We dont use euros in case you dont know
me: So I had to pick a currency!
Andy: You need to play in US$ if you do not use Euros
Andy: The Terms and Conditions state that you need to play in the currency of your country or in US$
me: How the *** should I know. Thats crap letting people pick a currency they cannot use!
Andy: Please don not swear on chat.
Andy: By playing on our casino you have accepted the terms and conditions.
me: I have read the terms but I did not notice that sentence, And I still can not find it.
me: Please point out the rule number from the terms and conditions. Just finished reading them again, and that sentence is not in the version on your website.
Andy: I have read over the website.
Andy: The clause that should contain that is not on the site at present.
Andy: It is being updated
Andy: I have spoken to the Pitboss, and those are the Terms and Conditions, and the website will be repaired as soon as possible.
me: So it was like the first test of a casino player, to pick the correct currency out of 3? Just kidding, but from my point of view this is extremely unprofessional, and I guess I will just have my account closed and report to casinomeister and others...
Andy: My apologies.
Andy: The site was recently updated, and the page was correct a few days ago.
Andy: It is currently being repaired by the site author.
me: Thats your choice of business :-) I should have a price for actually reading the terms. Ohh well I will withdraw my deposit and close my account. If you regreat this send an email within an hour. bye

How can a casino that is supposed to be serious, talk to me like I have not read the terms. And when they admit they are wrong they still enforce non existing terms, stating that they where 'correct' a few days ago!? From my experience with them, I definetely do not find them worthy of either ecogra or casinomeister.

I hope you will reconsider linking to them. I will take my money(hopefully) and run away.

Here are links to the terms and conditions.

heinz thats an all to common problem, the other serial offenders in this category are fortune lounge,

i had a similar problem when they changed their sign up bonus from 100 to 200, but i was credited with only 100.

basically the conversation when something like this.

me, how come the i have only been given 100 bonus

cs, because the 200 bonus is due to come into force in a few days time

me, so why advertise it on your website now?

cs, because we have the right to say what we want, its our website

me, so how am i meant to know what bonus you are offering?

cs, well i have the current bonus terms infront of me now, its not our fault you havn't bothered to check.

me, well i did check! and they are not on your site.

cs, as i have already said, what is on the website is irrelevant, i have the bonus terms in front of me now, i had no problem finding them, so its not my fault you couldn't find them.

me, yes, but i dont work in your office! so how am my meant to find them out? use psychic powers.

cs, the onus is on the player to familiarise themselves with the T+C's

that was more or less the drift of the conversation

In my case. I just can not belive how little flexibility they show.

I did not feel they were interested in solving the issue, if they could just tell me they would change my account to $, and I can play in 2 minutes I would have been happy.

Instead they piss me off teaching about non existing terms and conditions.

Didn't you get this?

During a routine security procedure we noted that you have opened a casino account in a currency that is not applicable to your jurisdiction. This is a contravention of International Foreign Exchange law and cannot be endorsed by Vegas Partner Lounge.

Should you wish to play in your currently selected currency, you will forfeit all bonuses that you would ordinarily qualify for should you have been playing in the currency that is valid for your country of residence.
This is their usual response if a non-UK player opens a GBP account.
I'm wondering what international law prohibits a player to get a bonus in GBP at a online casinos... haha

They usually resolve this by letting you open a new account through the flash software, and then they'll transfer the money to that account. But since you're a dane, the might not want you at all...

Interesting how they added the necessary term at the bottom of the page. :what:
Nothing like forcing you to read the entire thing, eh?
Yep, it's clearly a new term.

Unfortunately this appears to be casino policy.

It is absolutely disgraceful, but the consistency with which it happens suggests it is policy.

It has happened dozens and dozens and dozens of times, and they continue to do it. They will say 'the terms changed since you signed up, count yourself lucky we haven't confiscated your deposit'. And they continue to do it, and you won't get anywhere. That is until you contact casinomeister, whereupon they will change their tune and apologise in order to preserve their reputation.

But I have no doubt that it is policy at Fortune Lounge, because their staff must be trained to behave this way, otherwise they wouldn't do it.

You don't get it at say Belle Rock (where the support are merely clueless), or Wagerworks (where the support are competent, obliging AND helpful).

Why cant they just say: "pounds are worth more than dollars so we dont want you to get the bonus in pounds" instead of making up their own crazy "international laws" :what: (now what the heck is that anyways). Who would ever fall for that crap?

I guess because the didn't have it in their terms, they couldn't say you broke any of their terms, so they invented this currency law bogus. Maybe a trick to get larger deposits? Not telling you in the terms you can't use pounds, so that they get people to do that, and then they tell them that they broke the law...

haha this casino is so lame. I Withdraw my deposit last time wihout playing, because they had some issues with me having a GBP account. And now they email me the GBP offer that they refused to pay last time I deposited 50. What is this for a dishonest casino!?

casinos have to accept which you choose. You can open pound, euro,or dollar account, which you want.
With all due respect, if you don't know what you're talking about - don't talk!

Loads of casinos where I have studied the T&C's, have very specific rules about which currency you can use depending on which country you live in. I assure you, casino's do not have to accept the players choice!
