Arent slots Rubbish when..

I played some immortal romance this weekend and I must have got like 50x 2 scatters without the third. There should be a law that says 2 scatters has to pay min 2x bet.

i also hate that because of the waiting factor. all games in quick-spin should reveal in one second if ive hit or not the feature without useless rotations holding my breath for nothing. MG slots have this problem solved by quick-spin and so the Novomatics in normal spin. on NetEnt even with quick spin slots like CFTBL makes you wait for scatters. Play&Go and other providers are way behind.

You click spin..

Reel 1 - Scatter..

Reel 2 - Scatter...

3. wait for it... nothing

4. wait for it... nothing

5. wait for it... NOTHING

too many times :(

Lol... I guess that's how most of us feel. About time someone opened a thread about this, but what I always do when that happens is just click the stop button so the rest of the reels fall down real quick for some clarity. I'm not going to wait 'endless seconds' to find out I didn't hit it for the 20th time.:D

Thats immortal romance for you. Countless times this has happened to me, though on the odd occassion (maybe 1 out of every 5 times I play immortal romance with 300+ spins) I have periods where I hit 3 scatters in a short space of time one after the other - and then the next 200-300 spins is a dry period of the game teasing me with 2 x scatters. Of course it never pays out well no matter what bonus round I pick but hitting free spins in my opinion is what makes these video slots so fun. I suppose getting 2 x scatters is like 1 free spin because you get your coin deposit back so it isn't all too bad. Some games like tomb raider 2xscatter will give you double your coin deposit.

I now only play any video slot up to 100 spins and if my balance is around my starting balance I will keep going for another 100 spins but if I do not hit any free spins in this time I move on to another slot. Some days you go crazy lucky with bonus rounds and some days its just nothing at all. Tis the slot life!

Also I find I hit free spins alot more frequently in tomb raider than any other slot, but thats just me. If I had to rank the games I'd play where I hit free spins the most times in say 100 spins in order I'd put -> Tomb Raider/Thunderstruck 2/Immortal Romance/Finer Reels of Life/Playboy/Jurassic Park

Nothing worse than constant 'teasers' Immortal as mentioned is evil for it, but the 9-liners have phases of dropping 2 scatters virtually every other spin which drives me up the wall too.

Another winder is the 1st reel - Wild (eg IR symbol) same on second reel, then the lowest symbols on reel 3 with a big, fat, dirty scatter sat right in the middle, about 2x bet if your lucky lol!!

Yep :/

I agree it's very frustrating but I mostly play Casinos' that use Playtech Software. The same thing applies but at least for example, on the slot DareDevil, you get a win for 2 scatters. I know it's little consolation, especially when it happens like 50 times and you can tell by the way the reels are spinning, it's not gonna give you the 3rd scatter/free spins feature lol. At the end of the day you just have to accept it's basically all down to the RTP during your session

Since you don't like these two scatter - teasing, then how would you like it to be instead?

As soon as you see one scatter you know the others will come?
Is it ok if they just pay?

For me it's a part of the game. One of those things that are doing the game exciting. Maybe this time, or the next time, they have to come now, damn, no..yes!

If they don't come often enough it's boring, and if they come too often, then that's boring too :eek2:
A gambler is never satisfied, that's for sure :p

The annoyance level can depend on the sounds attached to the scatter symbol.
Let's face it, it's a sound you'll be hearing a lot so hopefully it's easy on the ears.

Novomatic's horrific 'Spinderella' slot has a lot of failings (a comedy paytable, having to sit through a fanfare of trumpets when you win 12 pence etc) but the scatter sounds are the worst of all.
It's a sound reminiscent of either an elastic band breaking or a clinical erectile injury.

And of course you get one or two of them almost every spin, and two scatters pays zilch to seal the deal..

Spinderella is from Mazooma not Novomatic, but I agree about the noises and also that when it is on autospin it goes through every win line before it does the next spin
