    Hello everybody,

I have a little question to ask to the community : have you got a preferred day to play, or a preferred moment in the month ?

I'm asking that to myself because i'm used to play in base land casinos and I have noticed that I'm likely more to win at week-ends than others days in the week. I have always been more lucky at the end of the month than at the beginning...

Sure it must be a question of how much people are playing at the same place at the same moment, however, i would be very grateful to read your experiences or your feelings, as i wonder if this theorie is able to apply to online gambling :)

**i find that i am more inclined to sweep it clean when i am relaxed, and theoretically, if you are a weekend gamer, you are more relaxed and therefore make a few better choices... untill you get drunk, in which case it works to your advantage too because you can't care for winning or losing**

Of course, according to base land casinos, i'm speaking about all kind of slots, and according to online casinos, i'm speaking all kind of games, slots or tables

That's right Petunia, I completely agree with you, drinking a little while playing, that's fantastic somehow, as you take risks that you would have never taken if no glass of whisky :) :)

**galimberti11, you can pretty much classify ALL online casinos in the same category using your 'reason and logic'. the FACT here is that we are all at a disatvantage since most if not all the casinos of course have house-advantage. Moral of the story, quite when you get ahead... me thinks. as far as i know, speaking for myself, there is no major probs with MG casinos, one or two rogues.. but hey,in life, there has to be bad apples to keep the balance!**

I speak for myself, of course...
Pheraps the problem is mine: i never seen as much losing streaks like in MG casinos and i never seen as much suspicious hand dealted ( i means hans like AA for me against a delaer 6 that ends with my lose after a doubling and so on, i can speak for an hour about these terrible traps...).
I never played at crypto casinos and some of you think they are bad too...

    Thats a classic

Seriously though I refuse to install mircogaming software even on my OLD pc. I used to play on Ladbrokes about 18 months ago when I first dabbled with online gambling. All I can say is back then their blackjack was not legit. I didnt keep logs but I GUARANTEE it was out and out bent. From then on I refused to have anything to do with MG full stop. Maybe its changed now but it aint getting on my pc.. EVER :D

I must have been winning the money you lost. :)

I have kept good logs, and I have not noticed any out of the ordinary. I would probably notice even 0.2% increase in house edge over a year.

Back to the original topic: Saturday is certainly not my lucky day, my worst recent loss, possibly my worst loss ever was on Saturday.

'have you got a preferred day to play, or a preferred moment in the month ?'

Hi Philipfromparis, a good question but one that I cannot answer with hard facts myself. I think if I had kept a record of all sessions related to day of the week, (or month) the good and bad would even out. Problem is finding the time to keep yet another stat analysis going.

Christmas is not a good month to play IMO, people is full with anxiety and tend to the deposit/play more than usual ,due high traffic some casino will increase their house edge during this time of the year.

    I prefer weekdays over weekends.
I'm wondering though why philipfromparis mentioned Monday specifically.
Im asking due to a curious observation:
I run some affiliate properties and my first big statistical shock was when I realised that my worst traffic days were weekends and my best was easily and always Monday. It's explainable in terms of people browsing at work etc but as far as I was concerned it was a counterintuitive surprise.
I assumed that Weekends would provide the perfect timing for a pastime such as online gambling.
In fact Monday (along with Wednesday for some obscure reason) are the days that outplay every other.
Did this have anything to do with your question philipfromparis?
Anybody else notice Monday as busy?

That's an interesting stance (are your trousers too tight? :D ), but I used to be exactly the same! Several years ago I 'did the MG's' but also became convinced the software was 'not entirely fair' and gave them all a miss (apart from Ladbrokes when they used to give out repeat match bonuses with horrendous 8x WR! ;) )
But at the end of 2004 I did sign up with a few more after becoming interested in their Slots. And I think their slot games are fair - but their card games (BlackJack and Stud-rip-off poker in particular) are well dodgy!
So I still call them 'Microrigging'! Mind you, when I looked at my figures, I was surprised to see I am well over $1000 in the black from all the MG's I've ever played, so maybe they're not so bad.
At least they are still streets ahead of RTG.

BTW, did you know that RTG stands for Rip-off Thick Gamblers? :p

    Hi Agamemnon,

I mentionned Mondays, but in the same order, i could have mentionned tuesdays or thursdays...What i've noticed is that on base land casinos, you are likely more to win at the end of the month and at the end of the week, that is all ! And what i was asking to myself and others is if this can apply to online casinos . However, i do not agree with you concerning mondays. I've never been lucky on a monday day.

Actually, what should be interesting to know is if the payouts are always calculated in real time by the software used, taking into account the number of players, the loss, the winnings...or if from time to time, the software calculates at planned times the balance between deposits and withdrawals...this means in the first case that one should be more lucky on week-ends, because more people are to play on those days, and in the second case, this means that there is no difference between one or anoher day of the week.

I do not know if i make myself understand in this but there's a little piece of logic in it, i hope .
I would be glad to have your opinion on this Agamemnon
