Are Netent pulling DOA?

There´s a "rumour" going around that Netent will remove DOA from their portfolio. Scarface and a few other old slots will be pulled aswell.
Seeing as DOA is widely popular and almost always on top @ the casinos "Most played" lists it makes no sense at all.

Anyone know anything?

I heard a lot of slots will go ( transition from flash to html5 ) but it is my understanding that DOA in not one of them.

After those bastards pulled Pandora's Box and Trolls from the UK and left me with Excalibur I've still not forgiven them for that. I even quipped at the time that if they can do that willy-nilly then watch out because the day will come when DOA gets pulled too!

It may be a solid earner for them but it doesn't fit their slots template anymore, ie it pays the players too much. Notent prefer games that blister your bankroll in three minutes with amazing graphics and almost no returns or value for money.

And although nobody actually plays Scarface, there was a time it was my go-to slot for a time. I thought the point was to expand your games library??

It's all about choice. The moment these companies start dictating which of their games I'm permitted to play it's au revoir from me!

...and me

Not a heavy DOA player but its my 'go to' when down to my last £10-£12 so yeah I am a heavy DOA player :p

Would be the worst business decision of my slotting lifetime from Netent, we all know for ever wild line there is 100+ losers!!

Start puling my faves and like many other I feel, I'll start pulling my deposits!

Can't seem to 'thank' your post, nor the Spintee thread one either

You're going to have to like the 'like' or lump it. Blame Bryan for destroying Casinomeister!!

Users in your 'colour' group (4 years + membership ??) have no 'thanks' button for some reason lol

Whereas 'bairns' like me get both :p

Been able to thank other threads, just nothing showing up today!

Ah well, as the poloceman would say, "it is nit worth getting ungry over"

Hats off to Net Ent if they do this, they are stars for giving this Slot the boot.
No wait, I like this Slot, I will go wild and shoot them with my gun.
Then have a glass of whiskey to calm down...
Leaves building

I salloon-t your pun-tastic lyrics

I seriously doubt that will happen. Think it would be the worst business decision assuming DOA popularity amongst players.
Nah.

I see that Microgaming have retired a few slots as of late due to their license expiring or translation incompatibilities but Net Entertainment dumping Dead or Alive would be like Microgaming dumping Immortal Romance. It's suicide. Not happening.

I would not be so sure of that, This latest news is not surprising as netent is making the dumbest decisions lately and a real company needs to buy them.

It is not news - merely a rumour. I have had it from reliable sources that DOA is going to be ported to html5 so will not be disappearing anytime soon.

Netent might release some stupid slots lately but stupid they ain't.

As with other very popular 'old school' slots, e.g. TwinSpin, they will also transition DOA into the HD and HTML5 age. It will run and look worse as TS does but they will not cut the "BIG MONEY" branch they are sitting on  :D

Don't worry guys, DoA is not on the list of games that are going to be removed :). (At least not yet) We've received a list of games that will be removed between now and the end of the year.

Bonus Keno™
Relic Raiders™
Champion of the Track™
Crusade of Fortune™
Seven Gold Scratch™
Lucky Double™
Triple Wins™
Ace Scratch™
Wild Witches™
Secrets of Horus™
Thrill Spin™
Pandoras Box™
Pacific Attack™
Trolls™
Voodoo Vibes™
Tales of Krakow™
Fortune Teller™
Scarface™

The reason is the transition from Flash to HTML5 games.

Thanks Melvin, that clears that up. That will save Bryan organizing a national day of mourning for all those DOA fans on Casinomeister ;)

Mostly older games that - to my mind - weren't as good a some that have been put out in the last few years. The exception would be Scarface which I really liked, but I guess it's not bringing in enough to justify the licensing fees anymore.

Sacrilege! Pandora's Box and Trolls still hold up really well gameplay wise, and are certainly more entertaining than DOA.

They're the type of games that were heaven-sent for lowrollers. Some of the other games can be scrapped though, like Relic Raiders and Wild witches....they may be hidden gems but have the entertainment factor of clipping one's toenails.

Still don't agree with Netent pulling anything, mind. At least when Microgaming do it, it's for licensing reasons. If they pulled any outdated slot from their back catalogue they'd have about 12 games left :(

As mentioned, I do think Netent need to be taken over by a proper company. The customer statisfaction/ company profit ratio is becoming too heavily biased towards the latter, and on the whole I am starting to detest Netent's 'vision' Gits!
