Hello to all. I just got back from a quick trip to England. Lasvegashitmob. I tried to look you up, but the prison guard was a bit hostile. Steve, I thought of you while I visited the Land based casinos. I was thinking that even tho you *crossed over*, you still came back to us. This group is by far the most fun. Not only fun but informative. Thanks to everyones effort, I have been able to make informed decisions about on-line Casinos. Time for a *group hug*. And LVHM Watch your hands. *smile*

What a surprise... Dan has not been paid by the Island Casinos yet!
All this talk about "fire hot slots" has really made me chuckle! One thing is for sure, us gamblers are a fickle and superstitious bunch!

At 10:00 AM EST. Two men were observved running thru the sands hotel and casino in Atlantic City, with smoke pouring out of their pants. One security guard said "They acted like their asses were on fire"
After being chased around the nickel slot machines. Security was able to subdue the suspects. The suspects include Dan Dilly and Lee Arse. Both were found with melting Nickels in their pockets. suspects claim that they were trying to cheat the nickel machines, when the blow torch overheated and burnt Dans Butt. Both suspects are being charged with escaping a federal mental hospital and attempted cheating at gambling. A full investigation is under way to determine who else may have been involved in this nickel scam

Oh I forgot. I still say that hot or cold coins will make the elecromagnetizer go haywire on a poker machine or slot machine.

Earth to Dan, Earth to Dan, Sorry houston there seems to be lights on but nobody is home.

Dan I am just joking around, do not get offended! after reading your post, I can see that you are not easily offended.

Besides that it was Lee who wanted you off of the forum. Well enough silly posts, Big brother bryan does not like us to post things not about gambling and he does not approve of Dan bashing.

I hope you will allow me to post again as I now feel brave enough
on the subject of hot and cold coins this reminds me quite a while ago we were emptying the slots which didnt have much money in them but the coin box was full of water, this baffled us for a while until we stopped a man whose behavour aroused our attention he had on him a flask and in this flask were a load of ice cube coins !!
he had made a mould and was making ice coins which made the machines give credits when he inserted them as their dimensions were the same as a real coin, modern slots would just thro them down the reject slot but the old machines were making him rich!!
so hot and cold coins do or at least did cheat slots

"Ishmael" is back.

[someone wrote]
If Steve was using a strategy that produced a royal flush every 40,000 hands and never deviated from that strategy it would make no difference if he played out 300,000 hands in a row or 1000 hands for 300 days, it will eventually
average.
...
What? Do you know what you just said? 1000 hands for 300 days will not get a royal if other players using the same strategy... nothing is guaranteed.

I'm all for the exploitation of "unfair sites"... the only problem I have is when everyone in this forum listens to the wiles of ONE person who claims he played 300,000 hands.. I for one doubt Steve really tracked that many hands, or for that matter, played 300,000 hands. Unless he was getting a very high occurrence of quads or straight flushes, nobody in their right mind would play over 80,000 hands of ANY video poker without getting the royal, it turns into a losing proposition.

Steven, if you really played 300,000 hands without a royal, your video poker expertise does NOT belong on this list, instead, I'd very much like to show you some real estate in my bag here.

Slot Tech - did you also know the slot machine checks the coin for chemical pollutants? If it detects New York city, for example, it will cause the hopper to become smoky and congested, therby "coughing" up several hundred coins to the lucky person seated.

Ishmael, percentage paybacks are based upon an average. Do you know what an average is? You should average 1 royal flush every 40,000 hands.

You might go 100,000 and not get one. Then you might get two in the next 2,000 hands. It was not the same machine that I played those hands on, it was online in the same casino.

Being online is not playing the same machine. As the server serves more than one player at a time for the same type of machine. So it is not like sitting in a casino and playing the same machine and not getting a royal flush in 300,000 hands in a 7 month period.

Yes, I do track my play. I know how many hands I play per hour and the cost of each hand.

he must know something about poker. i got this newsletter and steve who does not know anything is in it. this is from jts newsletter

<,Stan writes:

<,I like to play video poker most of the time. Which hand is played wrong
most
<,of the time? Meaning, when certain cards are dealt but not kept although
they
<,may have good odds?

<,The Guru replies:
<,
<,This answer comes from my friend and video poker expert Steve Adkins,
<,author of: "The Book The Casinos Don't Want You To Read".
<,
<,In Jacks or Better, people keep a pair and a kicker (one extra card that
<,matches nothing). You should simply keep all pairs, unless you have 3 or
<,4 to a Royal Flush or 4 to a straight flush. I was playing in a tournament
<,one time and I saw a lady throw away a pair of three's. I asked her why
<,and she said I never keep a pair less than Jacks. I should say that she
lost
<,in round one of the tournament.
<,
<,Another bad move In Bonus Poker or Aces and Faces is keeping a full
<,house with three bonus cards. If 4 aces is the bonus and your dealt a full
<,house with three aces, most people tend to keep the full house. The
<,correct play would be to keep the aces (or any three bonus cards) and
<,go for the four of a kind bonus.
<,
<,In Deuces Wild a misplay is keeping a straight or a flush with two deuces.
<,A straight or a flush only pays 10 coins. If you just keep the two deuces,
<,the worst that will happen is that you will get three of a kind or 5 coins.
<,You should just keep your two deuces.
<,
<,Never keep two pair in Deuces Wild. I see that a lot. Two pair does not
<,pay anything. Keep the first pair dealt and go from there.
<,
<,In Joker Poker... Not drawing to three to a straight flush. Whenever you
<,have three cards to a straight flush you should always go for it.
