I agree with you it is hard to stop when you are winning but the secret to being a pro and a novice is setting out your gaming session like a busines plan I know a few roulette players who stick to one system they know it inside out and never stray from it, take it from me this can be a very boring and possibly lonely way of gambling
but they make a living from it to them its their job and all wins and losses are set out in advance by this I mean they know what and how much they will bet 10 20 or 100 spins in advance like I say to win you must be an expert at whatever yourchoosen game is its no use just playing blind as this is the quick way to the poor house.
find your choosen game but it must be one with a low house vig (this is the house win percentage)
and please please please if you choose roulette it must no MUST be single zero, when you have choosen a game find out as much as you can about it get all the books ask questions about stratergy money management etc etc use this forum to ask even the most basic question will be answered I'm sure, we are all spread out around the globe and different people have different gambling terminology so ask if you need to know something

regards

there you are I have spoken

Bonding? Us? No way. We are realy quick to bash our members here. Remember Timothy, why just last week we called steve a cross dresser(I mean crossed over) traitor. Yanni has been bashed so hard that he found himself in a hole.
We had the bash steve for a day just last week.
(he survived, I noticed he still posts here) Whats this about steve having his own message board on his web site? WE will get him for that.
Unless he gives us more free advise on video poker

I can't agree with you more. To me, knowing everything there is to know about the game you're wagering on is of the utmost importance. As you state, you would never play 00 roulette, I play video poker and most of these casinos offer games I would never play, even if it were the only game available. Thankfully there are profitable games out there, but I wonder how many people know which is which and just what kind of % they are facing. When I play I want the best odds I can get, or another way the lowest vig. You are right! Winning is a Grind. It's not always fun grinding out a $50 win on a $500 banroll.
I am only trying to respond to the recent posts of losing and quiting. I for one have been very successful winning online, but winning and collecting are two different areas online. While important to expose the no pay casinos, I also think we all can benefit from the experience of those who are holding their own out there.

HI Jondo
you will have to excuselee he gets very excited

lee steve has crossed over not passed over you arse

Jondo I agree 100% discipline is the most important thing, and yes many many people gamble for fun only and thank god they do as they keep the casinos in business because they lose regularly and their losses keep the gambling palaces open if everyone was to gamble professionally they would soon be out of business but that will never happen

Yes, there are many things to be learned online;good written comunication skills, manners, what casinos to stay away from, and so on.
Take what you want and leave the rest. The most important is humor, I can't count the number of times I've laughed out loud at something I've read here. I'm getting much better at ignoring the jerks too.

STeve I just read your article in the casino company. i have to disagree with you. the temperature of the coins do make a difference to how the machine will pay off

Steve I think you are wrong in your above post
when a coin is inserted into the coin validator (coin slot) it will do 4 parimeter checks to allow the coin to be either inserted or rejected the check it does are as follows;
1 the diameter of the coin
2 the thickness of the coin
3 the material of the coin

if these 3 checks it allows the coin to roll past the post gate strobes and when the coin breaks the strobe the machine credits the correct number of plays
next the coin is checked for temperature and if the coin is hot enough the coin then falls into the hopper which can then sometimes cause the plastic surround of the hopper to melt resultuing in all the coin falling into the payout tray

so there nernerneenerner

Slot guy, the coin is never checked for temperature. Most machines do not use the strobe method anymore because of spooning. (That is sticking a spoon up into the coin hopper breaking the strobe which is the counter for coins comming thru on a win, and that would empty the hopper) If any of that were true (which it is not) Do you know how hot a coin would have to be to melt anything? You would be walking around with your ass on fire.(I am sure this would be a sign to security that you had just put a torch to that roll or quarters in your pocket)
