How has everyone done on this game? I've played 11 sessions and only won 2. The rest i've lost a fair amount. I've worked out that i should have an expected loss of about 55 units but so far i'm down 202 units. I guess i'm just frustrated and want to moan about it. Would be nice to know how others are getting on with this game.

It runs hot or cold really. The last time I played it, I played a lot of hands and saw pretty much every winning hand at least once. I think I got trips 2 or 3 times. Only playing $1/spot though, of course. But previously it was pretty cold.

Seems to be very cold. Just lost another 32 units. Getting beat by dealers second and third cards....like losing AK6 to dealer's AK7......unbelievable.!

I played 3 card poker with casino grand bay betting $2 per hand.
    Total hands bet: 1950
    Total units lost: 7
    Total return: 99.82%
Not bad for a game with 2% element of risk. :)
The variance of this game should not be too high and you can play really fast.
If you have the time, go ahead and bet $1. The variance would be much lower than betting $2 on BJ this way.

Nooooo........its really not working for me, i just lost another 25 units at this game. Started at 4 a hand, then lowered it to 3 and then 2 on a losing run. I really am getting nightmare from this game.

I just can't get anything from this even with a bonus. I can't believe the terrible luck i'm getting with MG 3-Card Poker. The other games i get very bad results from are Playtech BJ (RIGGED) and doubling on Playtech VP.

Today I played another 1600 hands. Got quite a few 3oak and even 3 straight flushs.
I lost 31 units which is close to expectation.
My total return was 98.06% while the element of risk is supposed to be 2.01%.
Although my bankroll went up and down quite a bit, overall it seems okay to me.
I think the STD of 3 card poker is higher than BJ. If you don't like the high variance, just play $1 ante per hand.

What was the most units that you went down in that session? I played again last night and went up 12 units. So maybe i'm on my way up ;)

it can get very cold dropping 30 units in a jiff and it happens often
it can get a little hot but the best run i have had is maybe 20 units bit it doesn't happen often

maybe one of the worst games i'd say next to carribean poker
that' why they let you play it for wager requirement purposes.

31 down is my lowest point and that's when I decided to stop, that's $50 wagered after WR. At certain point I was even 16 units up!
Normally I only bet $1 or $2 per hand, depends on how much time I have and how big the wager requirement is.
BTW, casino grand bay is the only casino that forces me to play 3 card poker. Does any other cainos forces you to play this game as well? They'd better have a superb bonus program. :D

Yesterday I won 120 units in 750 units played at one casino, then lost 100 units in 1500 units played at another. My negative record is 160 units lost in 1500 units played. One time I hit 4 straight flush in 200 hands. So the game definitely goes up and down. If you don't hit a straight flush and a couple of 3K for every 500 hands or so it's difficult not to loose money.

Edit: By the way, I only play the pair plus bet.

I've had 7 session where i've lost more than 25 units. 2 of these i lost 50 units. All these sessions were 300-500 hands. I only play the ante. The dealer definitely seems to be getting a lot more straights and 3OAK than me.

    DealerBusts,

What's the longest losing streak you have experienced with 3 card poker?

Today I played 352 hands and the longest losing streak is 11 in a row and the last four bets in the losing streak were:

    Bet $6.5
    player AA9 <play>
    dealer 234

    Bet $23
    player 6TJ <fold>
    dealer 789

    Bet $31.5
    player 7JQ <play>
    Dealer TJQ -- Straight Flush

    Bet $91.5
    player 48T <fold>
    Banker 6TA

I still believe MG's RNG is not random at all. When I bet the minimum of $0.5, the longest losing streak is never longer than 5. Losing streak of longer than 5 always comes when I increase my bets. The deeper I increase my bets, the longer the losing streak. Same for their BJ game.

Perhaps I shouldn't compain as I made $210 on this game tonight including the $100 bonus.

BTW, Jupiter Club casino says that 3 card poker is NOW video poker and is a excluded game.

Sounds like BS to me. They even have it under table games in their game lobby. I have two pending cashouts involving a bonus and I just played 3-card Poker. Hope they're not gonna give me any problems.

And if they want people to play slots with their bonuses why don't they just say it???

But their support is very helpful.

I asked for the excluded games before I deposited and played and one of their support DID SAY that 3 card poker is ok together with keno, poker pursuit, red dog and slots.

But several hours later, anohter support says that 3 card poker is excluded. I called them and they allow me to play 3 card poker as a game to meet the wagering requirment. Acutally I have already meet the WR and I told them to flush my cashin right away and the support says I should receive my cashin tomorrow.

Yes, I did ask where they say 3 card poker and they directed me to the promotion page where no mention of 3 card poker (and the terms is, to me for the sign up bonus only but they say it's for all promotions.) but they say that 3 card poker is a video poker. I advise them to make it clearer.

I guess they change the terms to exculde 3 card poker only in the recent days?

Sounds like a clueless CSR to me (hope so anyway). To suddenly start counting 3-card poker as a vieopoker is just plain silly. If they want to exclude 3-card poker they have to put in their terms and there is no mention of it now. I'll let you know if my cashouts are processed without problems....

Anyone remember when some other MG casinos decided that Poker Pursuit was video poker as well? Equally ridiculous.

Well for sure such bullshit wouldn't hold water with eCogra... right?

eCogra doesn't have any say about how a casino runs its promotions, just that they can't apply changes retroactively, etc.

They can classify anything they want as whatever they want because techincally 3 card POKER and POKER pursuit are video poker games in that they are poker games that are played on a video screen. Same for cyberstud poker, paigow poker, and anything else that has poker in the name. We know what video poker is, but they can classify anything they want as video poker since its their casino. They just can't do it retroactively and tell you that you haven't met w/r because of it.

One could make a claim however that they name Cyberstud, Pai Gow and then Video Pokers.

Come on, that is really low! Most people knows what are video pokers and that is not 3-card poker. If they want to exclude it, they have either to exclude it explicitly or in bold fonts in an obvious location on their website defining that the term VP at their casino includes every form of pokers.

I suspect, like someone has said already, it is mostly a case of CS having no clue. They obviously don't play there themselves, have no interest in the casino and leave for home at 5'o clock, or whatever their off time is, sharp.
