Another Top Game screw up

From Noah - Update

Hi,

OK you guys aren't going to love this but this is the answer I got from the tech team people that I got digging up info for me.

"The jackpot version of the game 'Dougie's Delilght' was removed on the 21st of May, there is no indication that a jackpot amount was removed at any point."

Now, I know this is hard to believe, but I looked over all the threads and all I could find was one player claiming this, and he never supplied specific details and most importantly never supplied a screen shot of any kind. He was the only one to say this. (Jonathan I believe did not know what he was talking about, which we can agree is not surprising). If you know this player pleae ask him to provide a screen shot or more details, and I will also message him.

That said, I'm STILL not laying this to rest, I will continue to try and find evidence of this but this is the answer I got for now, also that the game itself will be returned shortly with a full jackpot amount.

Kind Regards,

Noah

Thanks Noah

Interesting, I am very surprised this information was not supplied sooner when the facts would of been much easier verified.
I have to assume it is correct as such a lie would be beyond belief but time to get digging.

Hey Rusty,

It would be easier if it weren't so, because I'd rather just correct the issue, but that is the answer I got for now. However I will continue digging as well, case is not closed. And if you find evidence, please bring it up so we can find out more.

Hi Noah....I left this alone for three weeks to see if the game would be reinstated, but I'm guessing as yet....no go?

Obviously the player who stated that the jackpot had been removed, meant that the jackpot game itself had been removed. It is sort of confusing with the two versions of the game. You are right about one thing though, I don't really like the answer.

Whether it was just the jackpot of 192K or the game WITH the jackpot, it still comes down to the same issue of where is the 192K?

It was removed (as per your post) on May 21st, yet Topgame admitted NO malfunction or technical issues with any of the games until June 16th at the earliest. And this was only after many people becoming involved. So the game (with the jackpot) was removed almost a full month prior to that. I still have to ask why? What reason could a software provider or a casino have for removing a game when they claim no knowledge of any issues with it?

It is now August 31st....a full three months and ten days since the game was removed. What is going on?

I noticed another thread in Online Casinos here, started by Luciana (?) who stated that she noticed a drastic change in the way the games played and paid, although she didn't mention a date. She also said that a casino manager had told her the payouts were changed due to "too many winners" or something like that. I realize that is nothing more than a claim made by a poster on a message board, with no evidence to back it up...so any conclusion drawn from that can only be speculation. But I have to wonder if the change she noticed in the games coincided with the removal of the Jackpot game on May 21st and the elusive missing symbols on other games as well. Exactly what in the hell type of fiddling was going on with the software that caused all this?

My biggest concern is that $192,000. Any timeframe Noah, when the game AND the money will be returned?

Thanks in advance again for hanging in there. I don't envy you your job.

Hi Pinababy69,

Thank you, even if you wouldn't like to be me :)

Unfortunately I still cannot find any evidence that this amount was actually taken off. The jackpot game itself, according to the tech department (I started working a month later) was removed on the 21st of May due to legitimate problems with it, there were indeed problems reported by players at the time if you will check the threads. In that regard you might say the jackpot was 'removed', as the game was removed. But actually reducing the jackpot amount - there is no record of that. I will get the game back up but right now the technical department is working on releasing a new game they've been working on.

It would be easier if I could find evidence, and I know you may think we're just denying it, but believe me this is what I know. And I do believe this all started on a single player accusation that was never backed up by any evidence nor confirmed by any other player. I try to be honest on these forums because I feel that this is a place for logical debates, so I have no problem admitting fault, but in this matter I really don't think that we did it, I believe we only took the game down due to problems. It wasn't put back up due to disorganization in the old tech team, and now mostly because the new team is busy with other things. But I will make sure its returned, I think I'll get it back up within the month.

Thanks Noah,
but as you confirm the game and of course its Jackpot were removed and have not been seen since because of,
"this and that and the other thing...mutter...mutter."

Is that what Topgame are telling you Noah?
The fact is a large sum of money not belonging to Topgame appears to have been misappropriated and until the game reappears with the Jackpot total it had when taken off-line some people will consider it stolen as it can not be described as lost.

Over Three Months to solve a technical fault?
I don't think so.
The old team were too disorganised yet they managed to fix another game with the same fault?
The new team have better things to do than worry about a toxic issue that is corroding the brand even further Day by Day?

I think anyone who looks at this neutrally without even knowing any of the other history would have a hard time with that.
Still, the most important thing is Jackpot money is returned and soon.
Then these questions can become a little less important - if not moot.

Hi All,

Threads not only on $192K but the missing icons are many on numerous forums.

To the best of my knowlege it was stated that who ever played these games when the icons went missing were to receive their bets returned.

Has this transpired?

If so when?

Is there any means of supplying tangible proof (that's a curly one) that players did in fact receive their bets back?

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave,

I assure you that for each player we found was affected by the symbols - we compensated. If there is anyone who thinks they were affected and was not compensated, please PM me with the details and I will see to it personally.

Hi Noah at Rome

Hi Noah, Mavin1 here aka, Eviecakes. I would like to commend you for speaking up here in the forum. I appologize that my original postings have caused so much problems, but if that's what it takes to get things fixed then so be it. But you seem to determined to handle it and I am glad. I would like to say although I have quit playing at Rome/Top Game, I am certainly considering coming back as I sincerely enjoy some of the slots. I would absolutely hate to see yet another RTG site out there and appreciate having a little diversity in games I like to play. I can just see that somewhere down the road there will be nothing left but MCG, RTG and the thought just makes me ill. I have lost hundreds of dollars to these sites with little to no return. I have to say that even with all the problems with Top Game, I have made two withdrawals in the very short time I was with Rome. One was for around $350 and the other $450, with minimal deposits being made. CS was very helpful on both accounts. I did also post a screen shot on this forum, of my last win on Fandango of $500 playing at 75 cents a spin, pretty nice return if you ask me. So even with all that is going on, there are some very good positives that should be kept in mind.
I am not a professinal player, or affiliate, or knowledgeable in any way of the true workings of the casino industry. I am just a homemaker that is stuck at home caring for my 89 year old mother in law with alzheimers and need an outlet, so I choose to play online since having discovered it 9+ years ago. I came across Rome and tried them, liked them but was also bugged by the problems I as a typical player had noticed. I am sorry it has opened such a can of worms but do look forward to everything being straightened out. As Pinababy had said sometime earlier, that I didn't get the whole picture, well she's correct I didn't, but all that mattered to me was that I was being heard, had a nice casino to play at on little cost to me for extended amount of time. Yes I was dumb enough to think that maybe one day I might hit a jackpot, never thought I would have to wager so much. So on that realization I knew it was beyond my pocket book anyways. It will be nice though when a jackpot is made available for all players, even those of us on tight budgets.
I did say I was considering coming back to Rome and want to explain why I finally quit. The slot that most attracted me to this site was Diablo 13, but the last few times after all the wilds were replaced that I played, the slots just drop down by about 3 symbols and not truly spin, this pretty much took the fun out of it for me, so I gave up and finally uninstalled the casino. Will this hopefully change?
So to end this, I would just like to say, please continue to improve, I really truly don't want to see yet another RTG casino out there.

JP Version non JP Version?

Thanks very much for that Noah.....glad you were joking in re: the insulting part.

I think maybe there's been a misunderstanding re: Dougie's Delights. It just came back to me that there are indeed two versions of this game (if I remember previous posts correctly). A JP version and a non JP version. Is that right?

If so, perhaps the poster Eviecakes is referring to the non Jackpot version when she says that the game has been put back? Going from your post, it sounds like the jackpot version of the game, has still not been placed back into play? If that is the case, then I feel a whole lot better...but will look forward to seeing the return of the game and the funds to the jackpot.

If you can find an answer as to why they pulled the jackpot before the game.....that would be awesome. I know it gets old...but thanks again Noah.

If so, perhaps the poster Eviecakes is referring to the non Jackpot version when she says that the game has been put back?

Hi Pinababy, I would like to add not being nothing more than a mere player at online casinos. While playing at Rome, there was only one slot of Dougies Delights, one slot of Diablo 13 and so on, so how would I distinguish a JP version from a non JP version if there is only one slot? Obiviously I am missing something here again? There was not displayed "2" slots of Dougies Delights or "2" slots of Diablo 13, where a player could choose to play either a jackpot version or a no jackpot version. Makes no sense to me. All I know is that when I first posted at CSR, the situation was as I stated, one day the jackpot was there and the next day it was gone, plain and simple. Also there was no notification that now the slot was a non jackpot version???

I see in some posts Noah is questioning my claims of the missing jackpot. I simply made a complaint and reported my experience.
I also will add at that time I was not aware of how to get a screenshot, but have since learned. Just because I did not have a screenshot, this does not nullify my "claim/accusation" of the "jackpot money" being removed. I am certain somewhere in the older threads when all this started that Jonathan did admit the jackpot amount was removed and would be re-instated. So how could you have a jackpot version without a Real Jackpot Money amount being displayed???? Which was at that time $192,000.00!!!!

Hi,

I'm sorry but I have still not found any indication of this, and I think that if a jackpot game was working without a jackpot, that we would have heard complaints from a myriad of players and screen shots would have been submitted. We can find no indication that any game was operating without a jackpot amount, or of 192k being removed at any point in time.

Hi Eviecakes,

Thank you for your honest and heart felt response, I can tell you that problems with Diablo13 have been resolved a while back, and we are also in process with TST, and should have their certification, hopefully, by month's end, they are checking the RNG on all our games, not only slots. We are also trying to redesign the jackpot games so you don't need to bet so much for a shot at the jackpot, we don't want it to stay as it is and are trying to find a way to do so without taking down the games for too long. I'm really sorry for any problems you've had with us, and, while I'm not gonna say anything about RTG, I can assure you we are trying to avoid the drawbacks and attitude some other casinos are showing. We hope to make Rome a great place and I hope to see you again at some point.

Hi Noah, these two statements are somewhat conflicting. You verified that the jackpot version of the game Dougie's Delights was removed on May 21st, then you say that you can't find any record of 192K being removed.

Going by your first statement, wherein you claim the removal of the game itself on May 21st...how much was the jackpot at when the game was removed? Was it or was it not 192K?

Eviecakes says there was only ever one version of the game, that DID have a jackpot attached. Thanks for posting btw Evie!!

If Dougie's Delights is available for play right now, with NO jackpot, then it follows that either a) there were two versions of the game available, one a progressive version, and one not....or b) there was only ever one version of the game, and the jackpot only was removed.

You keep saying that you can't find any record of a jackpot being removed, but you yourself said that the progressive version of the game was removed on May 21st. So whether it was jackpot only, or game with jackpot...bottom line, there is still a jackpot missing isn't there?

It's now September 13th, and we're coming up on four months since this game WITH a jackpot attached was removed. How much longer before it is replaced WITH jackpot?

And why was it removed on May 21st, a full 26 days before Topgame admitted to ANY problems with their software. On the contrary, players were told that all was functioning correctly.

Thanks Noah.

Topgame

I have been going back and forth trying to wrap my head around all of this. From link to link and at times it got confusing. Thanks for this being bumped back up!

Noah I don't think they are being truthful to you (topgame) or you're getting confused in your responses. They tell you that there are two versions of the game but the poster states there was only one and it was a progressive.

I believe (might not be true) that there was only one game and when they finally realized there was a problem with it they pulled it and put in it's place a non-jackpot version so that they could continue to make money from the game. They have now fixed the game and won't release it until it has been audited making sure that there are no more problems with it. I'm assuming once this game is released again the other version will dissappear or may just stay in play to downplay suspicions.

It's already been a month since the TST audit started and it's going to take another 3 weeks to get a report or finish up. That's a tad bit too long don't you think Noah?

I have to give you credit thou...you have hung in there and handled these questions professionally. As Pina stated you need to clarify the latter comment about the progressive.

Thank you Pinababy, I was going to put a thank you on the bottom of your post but can't figure out how to do that.

I would also like to add, that is not feasable for a small time online player or anyone to assume they should have to get screenshots of games/slots before playing as to have a visual record of what may or may not be there in the future. It is not my job to prove a problem, only give my observation and voice my experience. If you re-read my first post you will see that I didn't even think the missing jackpot was an issue, I was more bugged by the missing symbols and changes in bonus rounds. It hadn't even dawned on me the missing jackpot was not won until it was later admitted that it was indeed not won and had been pulled.
So am I as a player now expected to keep files of screenshots of all games/slots I play for possible future referrence?

I appologize for not also saying thank you Noah, I appreciate your answer to my post as well.

Hi Noah,
Thank you again for your kind attention to my post. I have read this post of yours earleir and did decide to give Rome another try. I re-downloaded the casino, deposited $24, no bonus added and played for about 6 hours going up and down and happily ending with a withdrawal of $170.
Yes Diablo 13 is functioning much better, thank you. I also played on Fandango again as it is becoming another favorite and a couple others. I was very pleased to see the bonus rounds and free spin features popping up frequently, maybe I caught it on a good day :). But when I compare the play with other online casinos, I definately wasn't dissapointed in the return, the functioning of the slots and the time I spent playing.
So I do hope to see continued progress with this software, guess I will stick around for awhile and see how things develop :).

Hey Guys (and Girls),

You are right to ask these questions and I may have been unclear, I'm sorry about that.

I don't think I was contradicting myself when I say that the amount itself was not taken off, or at least we can't find any evidence of that. I have stated before that the game was indeed taken off, it will be returned shortly, but it may be that we will wait for TST to finish before we put it back up. I see a very big difference between taking a game off to for problem solving and QA, and taking off a jackpot amount while letting the game continue. The game itself was taken down as soon as we (I wasn't here then but so I'm told by the records the old tech team left) knew there was a problem.

Regarding the amount of time it took to publicly admit fault - I don't what happened on that front, I wasn't here, so I can't comment on it, also that PR person (Jonathan) is no longer working with us.

I understand the concern regarding this matter but I find myself in a problematic position, I'll be completely honest here - I can't find evidence the amount was taken off before the game was taken off, which I feel is the real issue here. The game itself will be put back up as I've promised, and I haven't changed that promise, it will be back with a jackpot amount, probably together with the TST process but if its up to me before then, doing my best on that front.

Regarding the TST process - its not unusual for it to take a while, their tests also involve checking the RNG at different times, not to mention it took time to get all the details out of the way before they began, I can tell you we are past most of the process but I don't want to give an exact date yet because I simply don't know. Suffice to say they are thorough and we'd rather they took their time and got the job done right so there are no mistakes.

Kind Regards,

Noah

I find it odd that every time a casino has a problem an either they dont want to answer the questions being put to them is they always use the excuse that we fired that customer service rep or they no longer work here or they was on vacation an didnt come back

are you sure that is what customer support told you? Well do you have a screenshot of the error? Well why not we cant help you without it.

same old stories just a different day

I find it odd that No 1 knows where a jackpot went an why it went where it did you people know you just dont want to say
boy I would sure hate to see yalls accounting records for your sites

From Noah - response

Hi Noah,
Thank you again for your kind attention to my post.

Hi Mavin1,

I'm really glad to hear that and thank you for being kind and sharing some positive experiences here, you are being very fair.

We will be launching a new game in a few days which I think you'll love ( won't write more as I don't want to start writing promotional things in this forum :)) send me a PM and I'll give you a bonus to try it out.

Kind Regards,

Noah

Hi Noah,
Not necessary, I was at Rome this morning and saw the new game and tried it out on fun mode, great slot.
Just keep up the good work you are doing, as all you can do is move forward in the direction of becoming a great casino that people can truly enjoy.
